The Big Brother thread

Recommended Posts

Pete being a total mong has nothing to do with his tourettes. It doesnt effect his ability to walk in a straight line.

Also, when he decides to be a miserable cunt for 3 days on end his tourettes suddenly clears up!

How much do you actually know about Tourettes then? It doesn't just manifest itself in swearing you know?

I thought you worked in the medical profession? You've obviously never come into contact with someone who has true 'Tourettes'.

It manifests in a similar fashion to someone who has a stutter... The more nervous or agitated they are, the worse it becomes.

For 'being a miserable c**t, see relaxed IMHO.

And whilst I am doing 12-hour shifts being poised and ready to run to deliver a distressed baby in a dire emergency, or to assist with fixing up a stabbing, shooting, ruptured aneurysm or RTA you are getting paid twice my wages to post on 2 message boards all day! Who's got the cushy number?:lol:

I've seen one 5 minute clip of this bloke talking in the diary room, I thought a lot of what he was doing was affected, but I assumed that was his way of dealing with it.

Cant say i see too many tourettes sufferers in AandE

Just did a bit of reading up on it and it turns out tourettes doesnt make you bounce around like a monkey and wave your arms around in the air at all. Im guessing Pete either has ADD (which judging by the last few weeks of moping about he hasnt) or its just something he played up to at school , acting the fool ,and never really matured out of it.

''Coprolalia (the spontaneous utterance of socially objectionable or taboo words or phrases) is the most publicized symptom of Tourette syndrome, but it is not required for a diagnosis of Tourette's. Fewer than 15% of Tourette syndrome patients exhibit coprolalia

common tics are eye blinking, throat clearing, coughing, neck stretching, and shoulder shrugging.

Examples of the premonitory urge are the feeling of having something in one's throat, or a localized discomfort in the shoulders, leading to the need to clear one's throat or shrug the shoulders. The actual tic may be felt as relieving this tension or sensation, similar to scratching an itch. Another example is blinking to relieve an uncomfortable sensation in the eye. These urges and sensations, preceding the expression of the movement or vocalization as a tic, are referred to as "premonitory sensory phenomena".

Tics are described as semi-voluntary or "unvoluntary",[5] because they are not strictly involuntary: they may be experienced as a voluntary response to an unwanted, premonitory urge''

So his coughs, twitches, wanker shouts, throat punches are all part of his tourettes. Him dancing around like a mong on red bull isnt.

The, I can't watch this as I don't have the channel disclaimer. :quotes:

Quite like the celebrity one, and did watch the earlier non-celebrity ones. I'm quite impressed with the stamina of people who are watching this one. That 5 minute clip, plus that clip of the Tap Water Demon was enough to make me want to break things.

She's also sadly proof of just how pathetic men can be, she should be put down, there can be no debate (Oooh, felt like Leazes saying that.)

How does that make him a mong? It's just his character, he doesn't do any harm. It's people who are full of themselves who I consider to be mongs.

Well i guess we disagree, cos to me, a man who waves his arms and legs about in the air like his having a fit and makes blubererwankyaoooewwww noises is definately a mong!

Its a sad state of affairs in this country when watching this bloke act on every day classes as entertainment. His only claim to fame before he came into the house was he nearly killed himslef with ketamine and he has a big cock.

Personally I cant see how hes added to that really since he went in the house, apart from making friends with the freaks in there. Lea the pornstar and nikki the 24 year old with a 12 year olds body and mind!

If you knew these people inthe real world you woudlnt give them the time of day!

As for equality, i couldnt give a flying fuck hes got tourettes, its the rest of him i dislike. Just like Richard, dont care hes gay, but why talk about sticking your cock in a mans arse 24/7!!!

Like i stated earlier. I stopped watching it cos it isnt interesting anymore.

The first couple of series were 10characters put in a house to live together and watch what happens.

This years is the 10 most 'special' people they could find at auditions. Now every week there is a new housemate, a new secret room, a special eviction etc. etc. You can tell they are getting desperate. I cant see there being many more series.

People have been saying that since before you stopped watching it.

I know what you mean J69 and I really don't see the attraction anymore but I think it still does quite well in viewing terms so I think they're might be a few more yet. From what I've seen though the most 'special' cases must be the sad dweebs who turn up to boo, scream or cheer at the eviction nights with their home-made banners and stuff. Frootloops tbh.
