Mourinho has already came out and said if he can't sign Cole he'll go and sign another left back, so we will still beable to go for Bridge as he won't be first choice.

The Cole thing will go through IMO. Arsenal can't afford to have him disrupt their season with the constant press speculation (same again in January), and Mourinho really wants to piss Wenger off. He'll end up at Chelsea in the next 3 weeks, I reckon.

Southampton have 17 year old (I think) midfielder who has two in two this season (35 yard screamer last night apparently).

And there is also a young kid at Derby (Giles something) who we have apparently looked at last season.

There is a Giles Barnes at Derby (midfielder I think) and Gareth Bale (fullback) at Southhampton. Both 17 or 18 both tipped to make it to the top.

Bale, that's the fellow. Buy him, stick him in the reserves and he'll be playing for England soon!

Burley said this morning that Southampton aren't going to lose Bale in the same way they lost Theo.

Is he going to keep him on one of those kiddie walker leads so he doesn't wander off?

In other words they'll lose him for a respectable fee rather than an astronomical one like Arsenal paid?

But since they did that they have no need to sell for cash, hence they'll keep the lad if they want to.

Whether he wants to is another matter I suppose.
