  2. A pretty shambolic performance all in all and everyone involved needs to take the blame. Rafa going 4-4-2 has saw us on the end of two hidings so he needs to switch it back, especially considering we didn't even look like scoring with two strikers on the pitch. Watford basically outclassed us man for man; they were organised, skillful and, rightfully, smelled blood and pounced. I said it last week but it's a team that is desperately missing its captain. Clark is struggling badly at this level and Lejeune is either, adapting slowly, or fucking shite. Andre Gray is nowt special but his industry unsettled both of them to the point where our line was all over the shop. The full backs got no protection from the wingers and it's no surprise that the goals we conceded came from the flanks. Ritchie is calling for an offside that's never arriving while their full back has all the time in the world to pick Hughes out and then he has the cheek to shout at Yedlin. It was his fault and he should be an honest enough pro to realise he's been caught out for being a right lazy cunt on that occasion. Shelvey as captain brought back memories of Coloccini's rancid captaincy tbh; no rallying, no motivating, just a performance where he was desperate to play a Hollywood ball every time. Maybe because there was a 21 year old Spanish lad on the bench who is twice the player and he, rightfully, knows that his place in this side is under jeopardy if we get taken over. You can blame everyone for yesterday and they'll deserve it but it all goes back to the top. Our plan of exploiting the diagonals against a 3 man defence was sound IMO. Unfortunately, it fell apart because the players wearing the shirt, quite frankly, aren't good enough and the worrying aspect of it all is that I think Rafa is getting the best out of them. This is all they have when up against a well drilled, talented side. We can blame one man for leaving us woefully short of the talent and depth needed to avoid a relegation battle this season and, with any fucking luck at all, he'll have sold up by Christmas.

  8. Stevie left because the board evolved to the point most on here are sensible, left leaning and tolerant. Everything he dislikes 10 years ago he used to get a laugh off wacky and SO for being a casual racist/sexist. When people started calling him out on it that didn't marry up with his perceived image of himself as Steve Marshall Baines, local celebrity NUFC fan so he did a bunk. Weldy massages his ego on twitter instead now

  9. "a bespokey customs union thingy." Honestly if that doesn't stop you from engaging with him, nothing will. He thinks we're going to fix Brexit with a kodi build.

  10. Not just bitter about the victories, for all their wins they were still absolute fucking cacka playing everyone else, whereas our wins coincided with NUFC taking off, being in the spotlight and also getting 'entertainers' tags and 'everyone's 2nd team' stuff. The latter was a load of shite from sky but it must've killed them as we were miles away from them playing in Europe, competing in the PL. Apart from all of that, I don't think the older ones ever got over the Gillingham play off game at Roker where they had to watch their club get relegated to the 3rd division whilst hundreds of Newcastle United supporters celebrated in the ground with Gillingham fans.

  12. It's not like you to over react. It's posturing at the end of the day. In the same way the eu is using a trade deal as leverage for the divorce settlement. A poor trade deal could force thousands more families into poverty etc. Disgusting.

  13. The state of what Ashley has done to our club, man. Yet fans of other clubs and people in the media dare suggest that he's done a good job and been harshly treated. Fuck off.

  17. Because they believe that the UK are going to leave it to them to fix it when it isn't them causing the problem. It's the UK seeking to leave so it's up to the UK to develop a workable strategy and no one has any faith that they will be able to do so.

  18. It's funny how after 6-in-a-row we aren't as mentally scarred as they obviously are for all the victories we had over them in the KK/Robson years.

  19. No it isn’t utterly depressing. Most people knew we had a pretty poor squad. All the last few games have done is reinforce how much we need reinforcements. I would have taken fourth from bottom at the start of the season and I still would. In fact we are probably above where I expected us to be at this point. Agree with whoever said it before but we have conceded a lot more goals since switching to 442 and dropping Perez. People wamp on about his attacking contributions but he was the first line of defence and we have definitely suffered since he was dropped and the formation changed.
