I was visiting family in England over the weekend and got talking to the brother in law about Brexit. He isn't particularly committed to leave or remain but he was of the view that we should just get on with it. He's sick of hearing about it. He thinks there will be a few tough years but everything will even out. I get the impression that there's a lot of people who feel that way, there's a lot of Brexit fatigue out there and not enough stomach for another fight. So stories like the above but how we're worse off simply don't register any more.
