  1. Ole Gunnar Jack Dross going over to the classiest fans in the 3rd division applauding them for their support and apologising to them, especially all the Feyenoord fans and all the other fans of the many, many clubs they have a special connection with who've travelled to London road. FTM.

  2. What we are witnessing is the glorious end-stage of a mass outbreak on Wearside of “the first lass in school to get tits”syndrome - they all went full pelt when “she” was briefly attractive, but now that “she’s” a bucket-fannied, worn out slapper, they’re still stubbornly convincing themselves that she’s worth getting a chub-on for, even as they watch her thumb sized nipples droop out of the bottom of her manky Kappa shellsuit top. It’s a joy to witness

  4. The mackems have been going on all season about how it’s their must enjoyable season in years & how they’ve “got their club back”. Never mind “The Don”, They loved Ellis Short as well & Niall Quinn when he was running the circus. See how much they love him when they’re in the third flight next year or when theyre getting smashed off average championship clubs. This is a realistic place for Sunderland to be, they’ve got a big ground but it’s falling to pieces and it’s in one of the worst towns in the country. What do they honestly expect? They could only sign players before because they threw money at it & now they’re skint. They aren’t “everyone’s cup final”, there’s nothing special about them between the clubs at the bottom of the championship and the ones at the top of league one. They had 10 years of premier league football on the bounce and achieved literally nothing because their every achievement was levelled against what we were doing. I hope they fucking rot.

  5. Thank you for your er, reassuring words there AH Charnley is the epitome of every treacly mouthed, arse licking yes man that any of us have ever come across in the work place. The sort of cunt who would’ve enjoyed the privileges of the Vichy government in wartime France, a fuckin dream for the Nazis.

  6. You don't understand, there's a cabal of mysterious Tyneside businessman with huge investments in league one paying massive bonuses to opponents of Sunderland to keep them down and keep Newcastle up or something.

  7. Mental to think that if we get promoted and Sunderland lose in the playoffs, the 2 teams could theoretically be playing each other in league 2 in 12 months Unlikely I know, but still a good stat to wind them up

  23. The idea that opposition players are able to engineer results to ensure Sunderland stay in the division so they can benefit financially. If they were able to do that they’d just get themselves into one of the automatic promotion spots instead.

  28. Gallagher on SSN - not a red for a variety of reasons - not obvious enough, Almiron didn't have possession of the ball and the other defender could have caught Rondon and Almiron. That's us told.

  29. It's amazing how British broadcasters can hang a player or manager out to dry and play massive parts in players being banned yet completely overlook certain other clubs or players barely mentioning a thing if at all. I remember Keys very quickly shutting down Beresford as a pundit for a Man U game v Liverpool I think, when Beresford correctly called out Gary Neville for some top level shithousing saying he's a good player who sometimes gets involved with stuff he shouldn't. Went down like a lead balloon on sky and funny enough I never saw Bez on sky again even though he wasn't shy and comfortable in front of the cameras unlike some other ginger ex-Man U midfielder I can think of who BT put on now and again. Keys actually said 'you can't say that' and very quickly changed the subject IIRC. Protected species and look who sky targeted as soon as his career ended to be the new Andy Gray alongside a former Liverpool player who'd just called it a day as every football fan will only respect the opinions of players of those two clubs.

  30. Probably the most cynical and nasty foul I've ever seen. He also clotheslined Aaron Hughes to go on to score when they beat us 5-3 - only one camera angle showed it and mysteriously Sky never showed that angle again.

  34. As an aside, Heaton Stannington had 400+ there on Saturday, albeit with Billingham town taking about 200 to see them win the Northern League Second Division. Still a hell of a crowd for that level (especially with Newcastle at home).

  37. Donny was on Radio Newcastle a few weeks ago and was asked what the financial situation would be if they were promoted. He said the parachute money will be crucial and that he alone couldn't compete with many other clubs regarding providing extra funds. Basically they are fucked if they don't come up and possibly fucked if they do.

  40. There’s no point in asking ex referees. They only ever stick up for their mates. Almiron was the fastest player on the pitch, it’s a red card all day.

  41. Media blinded by his part in “that night of nights in Barcelona” TM(CliveTyldsleyPLC) but was always a snidey dirty cunt in the Bergkamp mould. His assault on Hughes and it’s complete abscence from sky’s post most analysis was and remains a fuckin disgrace. from the guardian: Robson was not impressed, and was even less thrilled when Solskjaer added a fifth goal two minutes later, getting away with a clear foul on Hughes before tucking away Forlan's pass. 'Blatant blindness by the linesman,' the Newcastle manager called it. It hardly mattered by that stage, although right up to the end Newcastle refused to lie down.

  44. The accounts published don’t have to be as accurate and aren’t regulated heavily like public company filings, so I can’t say with this lot running things I believe them to be the clearest, it’s entirely possible Ashley has been siphoning more out the club and labeling it as something else. You can feel free to trust what the club are saying if you want tbh. If you’re happy to accept a PL club in 2019 can afford nothing more than around £20m in transfer fees yearly (since the other £30m they’re quoting will go to wages spread over the next half decade) again that’s totally up to you. As mentioned in the past they always mention wages having to be factored in when buying, yet the remaining wages on a contract of a player sold are never brought up. We’ve never been big spenders under Ashley, even when we finished 5th we didn’t spend, all of that has all been eaten up by two single season stints in the Championship? It’s also worth noting that for his entire 10 year ownership he has asset stripped the club to such a degree it barely owns anything outside of playing staff, as Trooper points out we’ve lost a lot of money in commercial deals. All of that goes into why I am not accepting them saying all we can afford is £50m a season (inclusive of wages, fees and other expenses) I can’t factor these issues out as they are exactly to blame for all of it so why should I have to exclude that from what I think should be available for Rafa to spend? It can be rectified going forward but it won’t be. We are going to lose Rafa Benitez over honesty over transfer fees and a moderate amount of investment in the training facilities, it’s absolutely absurd. I’ll also add that the wage aspect is being double counted in their bullshit model. The money available that they’re claiming comes as a result of the accounts, which factor in wage expense, they then include these future wages back into the £50m budget, and they will be again included when computing the next amount available.
