  6. Fish, I want you to know I'm not ignoring you, I've nearly replied to this about three times but the truth is I just don't care to be honest, its just a TV show and I'm enjoying it fine as it is and I'm glad that characters I like are getting to wander off to some semblance of a happy ending.

  7. Lovely to see that, on top of the disappointment at not winning the league, Liverpool fans have realised that nobody wanted them to win it and have taken it very, very badly

  18. There wasn’t a Fulham shirt in sight man. My little boy’s First proper away day experience. He loved the atmosphere more than having to stand all game. and missed the rondon goal because of the size of the lad in front of him. He’s still got a 100% win record and minimum three goals for every game he’s been to. I should have put some money on it. I have to keep telling him it isn’t always like this

  19. It wouldn't surprise me that someone as inauthentic as Morgan would think Farage was authentic. Cunts of a feather.

  20. You've also missed Ashley, with a set of chebs on him, self flagellating as he walks around to the away fans, humbly apologising to them, chucking £20 notes at them and handing out a copies of a signed, legal document promising to fully back Rafa and take his shit signs off the stadium! Typical of us to miss it!

  22. It is, although it still means Newcastle will benefit from fast trains just south of York (without changing). Plan is to connect to Glasgow and Edinburgh eventually, which will lead to sub 3 hour journeys at which point it is quicker than flying (so will kill that market, which is another environmental plus). Of more concern is the new Azuma fleet doesn't work on electricity north of York, so will have to run a diesel (they are bimode). This was found out before Christmas but barely registered in the news. It means trains to London will actually be slower if they don't sort it out!

  23. He's wrong. HS2 isn't about speed, its about capacity ("high throughput 2" didn't have a good ring to it though). There will be much more seats available for London services, as well as shorter journey times. What's more, the west and east coast main lines will be freed up meaning much better commuter services and freight can be taken off the road. The cost is spread over 2 decades so is probably less than 3 billion annually, a tiny proportion of GDP and will create a fuck ton of productive jobs. It's exactly the type of scheme a progressive should support, and we are miles behind Europe and Asia. Transport within cities should be improved too, but its not an either or situation.

  24. Mate, no one questioned why a desk soldier grabbed a rifle, chased a van down the street and murdered an unarmed civilian. Quite a lot of blind eyes were turned.

  30. However, Storyville Behind closed doors was illuminating. Confirms what we all know, the UK government is embarrassingly incompetent. But it occurs to me, throughout this debacle the EU has been very transparent and open. Evidenced by this documentary (the only censored bits concerned the UK government), as well as the mountains of information on their website if anyone cared to look. I find transparency is normally a healthy sign, and conversely being opaque isn't. So when are we going to see the May behind closed doors Storyville?

  31. Nope, it's definitely to do with the squaddies. His love for them knows no bounds. Okay, maybe it's about the whips then. Or maybe it's because he knows he has to do something extreme to get himself into the spotlight before the big leadership election?
