Wood bought the penalty and I’m very comfortable with that.9 points

What I particularly like is the way they think we should completely abandon our club, claiming they’d do the same. Yet there they are, on a Friday night, watching our game on Sky. Most of the money football makes from Sky ends up in the hands of premier league clubs and you get more money the more you’re on the telly. There they are, literally boosting our viewing figures, which in turn leads to more revenue, as the most watch teams get more coverage. And they think they’re somehow morally superior because they’re desperate to see us lose. They’re fucking great, man8 points

I may have had a few last night but I stand by that post We are safe despite everything. And we are gonna fucking win something in our lifetimes, I am sure of it. And they will all bitch and moan and complain, and we will magnanimously inform them that they are, to a man, cunts.8 points

Penalty all day. You can't just slide across the path of someone running at full pace and not get the ball. Who hit who first is irrelevant8 points

We are fucking safe. It's over man. Just fucking done. "Oh but no club has ever survived after failing to win 13 games" "Oh but Saudi Arabia" "Oh but Steve Bruce was actually doing a good job with a championship team" "Oh but we won't sell you players to protect our cartel" FUCK OFF you southern fucking bastard journalists, and you fucking Northern fucking mackem bastard whatevers, and you fucking variably placed top 6 cartel motherfucker clubs that are piss scared of a resurgent Newcastle. I hope you all fucking choke on it! Fucking safe. Done. Fuck off the lot of you.8 points

Really enjoyed the match over all, hospitality area was very nice, lots of food & drink. Seats were class as well. John Beresford & some bloke off the telly were going round the tables. Steve Howie was giving his “analysis” on a stage that would later be filled with an acoustic duo murdering the Beatles. I was massively impressed by the Wor Flags display, it was absolutely stunning to see the ground like that and far more effective than having one stand with one big flag. Atmosphere was flat at times and incredible at others, very loud at times. Performance wise it was decent, Wolves are a hard team to break down and they had ASM completely figured out & he knew it. Bruno was absolutely class & there’s a few players who could learn from him. Everything he does is functional but he knows where to put some flair in. Kind of like a reverse ASM. MSA. Great fun overall anyway.7 points

I really wonder what they’re up to these days. Probably get 4/1 odds that COVID killed one of them7 points

Friends, there’s so many possibilities that we haven’t even experienced yet that could well send this lot mental. Kieran Trippier scoring a free kick in a World Cup Quarter Final, for instance. Imagine when the entire country is praising that. And that’s before PIF start piling the kind of money into the area that would a shady Tyneside cabal blush. Theres no end to potential scenarios that will properly send them west7 points

Tremendous result. Spent all day, pre match drinks and most of the match, bed wetting. Even went to cover my eyes for the penalty (but relented) The Wor Flags display was my favourite to date with flags in every side of the ground and the scenes pre and post match were a thing of beauty. Bruno looked like a Rolls Royce and I just can’t wait to see him surrounded by better quality players next season. If we can get good money for ASM I’d be happy to see him move on in the summer. So frustrating to see a player with those skills not seem to have that little bit extra upstairs to become a really great player. Also a massive round of applause for Dubravka with a wonderful save to secure the points. We’re SAFE! Well done Eddie. Magnificent.7 points

Always sad selfish cunts spoiling it for everyone else and getting others to bail them out. That's a universal in all aspects of life.6 points

Whether you think it’s right or wrong it’s not ‘new’ or ‘modern’ is my point. It’s just scrutinised a lot more than ever. I think it was a pen tbh. In real time it looked like a stonewall one too. The keeper made a hash of it and Wood took advantage like J69, Andrew etc have alluded to6 points

There was someone on there saying they shouldn’t be obsessing, watching us on a Friday night etc. She has a point, unless they’ve been playing us I’m struggling to think of when I’ve made an effort to watch them in my entire life. I went to Roker Park with some Spurs supporting family from down south when it was Canon League Division One. I remember them losing the 92 iirc cup final to Liverpool and the Milk Cup loss to Norwich. Obviously seen highlights etc. First reply to her reasonable post is that she’s just outed herself as a mag a sizeable proportion of them are absolutely tapped6 points

I’ve personally given up on ASM. He needs to give his head a wobble, people highlight the runs he makes but 90%+ of them go absolutely nowhere he just runs away from the rest of the team and generally refuses to pass the ball unless he absolutely has to (the pass he should have made to Bruno but then delayed being a glaring example). People are overly keen to give him credit as well, lots of bigging up his pass to Joelinton which eventually led to the pen it was fine and helped the move but come on man. I said in this thread at some point he will simply refuse to help the team keep the ball, and he did. He kept trying to go on mazy runs in the 85th+ minute losing the ball numerous times. People shrug it off when we go on to win but he did just that against Everton by dwelling on the ball instead of playing keep ball and it cost us. I think under Bruce his runs that went nowhere were a positive as we had nothing else whatsoever to be excited about. They were brief exciting moments in turgid games, whereas now we can build moves his runs often just break down play. Completely understand people have different opinion to me on this, but there’s this ridiculous narrative from the ASM fan club that anyone doubting him is an idiot and automatically wrong, they’ll throw out largely irrelevant stats like the amount of runs he goes on and when his lack of production is brought up it’s shrugged off as him being slightly off the boil, despite this being his most productive season in terms of goals and assists iirc. The way Howe plays, and wants to play, we are a better side without him imo.4 points

Heading over to the Nith Valley near Dumfries at lunchtime for a long weekend with the family. Taking the mutt, so I’m hoping to have fresh lamb tomorrow I was shaving my bonce earlier and it struck me that in your 50s, “holiday trim” has a very different meaning than in your 20s.4 points

It was definitely a case of winning the pen. About time we started getting a few of those. I imagine the number will increase as we become a serious force again. The big clubs always get the soft ones.4 points

Never underestimate the power of the magaverse. Someone should do a documentary on RTG. The beliefs held, the aversion to facts, the collective psychosis. It's not dissimilar to QAnon.4 points

I am astonished by how much I'm reading that wood either dived or wasn't fouled for our penalty, it's a stonewall penalty surely? I know this isn't the least biased place to ask but I don't just have my nufc specs on do I? It's clear as day.4 points
