I’m not saying they’re hypocrites but there’s now more posts condemning Joelinton in the resurrected Darron Gibson thread on there than there is people having a go at Gibson 👍🏻6 points

I'm not that arsed about this like. He shouldn't have done it, he's hopefully learned his lesson, and he got caught so he'll be punished. Done and dusted. I'll reserve my disappointment for if he does it again. The mackems hero worshipped a grown man that was fingering a 15 year old so they can FUCK OFF.6 points

It stood feet planted on either side till one day a particularly tall mast did indeed scrape it's crown jewels so it was then dismantled to just sit crouched atop a religious treasure trove. Then one day it heard plans to put it back astride the harbour and have it's family benefits in danger of being hit again by the old sea salts of antiquity sailing underneath it's legs..... 'You fucking what, mate?'5 points

They were going to do a 'Colossus of the Tyne' a few years ago modelled on me standing either side of the mouth of the Tyne but realised the tall ships masts would've been in danger of catching my knackers if they did build it so decided to give it a miss.5 points

Darren Gibson gave the Mackem's a perfect excuse to get rid He was an alchy, crap for them and they saw a chance to save some money. If Ross Stewart did the same you can guarantee there would be a different outcome (ala Adam Johnson) Joelinton is a tit but it doesn't make sense to impose a sanction that is detrimental to the rest of the team. Fine him the maximum amount, donate it to a charity, make him do some community work on behalf of the club etc4 points

I think he's a cunt for doing it. But like someone said we don't know the full facts. I am sure the club will do something about it. They will know the full facts and will deal with it accordingly, as will the courts. To add. I don't understand drink driving. But that's because I lost my best mate to a drink driver when I was a kid and I saw what his parents and brother went through. His brother is still at a loss from him 30 years on. If you need to drive, IMO, just dont drink.4 points

Most of us have done it.......back in the day 70/80s alot of people would have a few pints at lunchtime a couple more after work then drive home.....and if saw double you drove with one eye closed, young people will be horrified but thats what happened4 points

Good patter tbf but right now they're still "Snoddy and Friends" as far as I'm concerned. This lad will have to seriously turn up for me to accept a "Kuol and the Gang" moniker for Hearts.4 points

Just asked the woman in Waterstones if Prince Harry’s book is available to download. She replied “do you want the PDF file?” I said no, that’s his uncle.3 points

If you make out they’re all well off they’re fair game to some on the left because they’re part of the elite / ruling class. It’s not a kick up the arse from there to believing conspiracy theories about them controlling global banking and pulling all the strings behind the scenes.3 points

And lets not forget Whilst he was probably 99% certainly over the limit / maybe just over / and knew it.........he might have and its a big might......have been in a club drinking coke all night and had his drink spiked by a jealous mackem bastard working behind the bar.......unlikely but you never know3 points

Mig in a wig. Extremely disappointing. I do think the circumstances are relevant, as there is a difference in my mind to driving pissed out of your head rather than be just over the limit the next day thinking you're sobre, which if we're honest, a lot of us might have done before without even knowing (pretty sure I have in the past before I read up about the risk). Not excusing him though, just saying its not completely binary. Is it usual for a club to apply a playing ban for this type of stuff though? I don't understand the logic of that. The courts will determine the extent of his fine and ban, and by all means we should penalise him financially on top of that, and maybe put him on some awareness courses. But he doesn't drive for a living so I don't get the logic of stopping him playing personally.3 points

We dont have a big squad of quality players.......he's and idiot for drink driving but i think a big club fine / bollocking / communtiy work will suffice.........plus a winning goal on Sunday3 points

Aye. Although no one really knows what it was like, it standing astride the harbour was impossible from an engineering pov and for other practical reasons and based on existing evidence etc. Unless HMHM has a bit of Greek ancestry3 points

Stupid thing to do, there are no excuses & he should be punished by the club as well as the courts.3 points

Simple answer is tip off or not he should not be drink driving. He will be fined by the courts and the club and may miss a game or two. No excuses he is wrong it can wreck lives he should know better.3 points
