  1. Aye, think he might have wandered onto the field and ended up playing in their defence.

  2. The best thing for me is how we grind out performances when we're up against it. Milan away, today first half. Newcastle of old would have crumbled, now we stick around and give ourselves a chance even with squad players involved. Amazing what a great coach and some organization can do.

  5. Joelinton makes such a difference to our press. He has a brilliant sense of timing and it seems that he is often the catalyst either in the tackle or as the close by pilot fish picking up the scraps after a teammate applies the pressure. I wasn't too upset with the first half. I thought we frustrated them and perhaps even it was a plan by Howe to limit the minutes in the legs for Gordon and Bruno by setting up in a holding pattern with the two Lewis's until hitting them with early second half substitutes. I think a lot of the credit for the win goes to Howe. The substitutes were timed perfectly. He got in before Pep and we hit them before Pep could respond. Brilliant result. Another clean sheet. The machine appears to be clicking into gear. Hopefully we can maul Pep-lite's Burnley at the weekend and move into the next CL match with even more momentum.

  6. I know I said Tonali needs time, and he was much better second half. He needs to be showing that tenacity more often and winning tackles high up the pitch. I also think that kind of result is indicative of Joelinton being in the side. The guy was all over tonight. He's an absolute beauty.

  7. There is a blind section at St James’s. I think they get audio of the game. I’d do it if I was blind. Might even have more chance of getting a ticket. Might be worth Brokendoll putting some shades on and buying a white stick.

  13. It will probably end like this with us getting humiliated by City‘s second string. Would be typical.

  14. BBC news yesterday, UK workers going on the sick in big numbers, concerned look on the presenter's face, stock photos shown of healthy looking young people with a cardigans on sitting on settees with a presumably mug of tea/coffee. Today, same presenter big smile, 'despite the cost of living crisis the super yacht show is expecting to carry on as normal in Monaco' then gives anecdote about looking at the lovely yachts on holiday in the south of France with her family. Mentions the cost of living crisis a couple of times in this story. No wonder the narrative is fivked in this country. There's no cost of living crisis for people buying super yachts!

  15. Each to their own, but on the day Queen Cunt says being discriminated for being gay or female isn’t enough reason to claim asylum, why are we dissecting Starmer’s weaknesses? These cunts are in power, now, and are destroying everything decent that we’ve ever stood for. Starmer is a bit grey, but ffs, he’s not a monster. Until we get PR, it’s a two-horse race, with the Lib Dem’s sucking off whoever promises them a bigger bag of sweets. The pressing issue right now, imo, is not what Labour might or might not promise to do in order to win back the red wall Tory cunts, it’s getting these fucking animals out of power asap. Deal with the replacement’s weaknesses afterwards. Rant over, as you were.

  16. Credit to big Joe, some of the hate he was getting when the useless cabbage was here would have had a lesser man fucking off asap. But nope, the man put in shift after shift and made a lot of people eat humble pie. The fact he became a Brasilian international while playing for little old Newcastle shows what a fucking player he is.

  17. Thought those first 10/15 minutes of the second half showed a sliver of what the Joelinton-Bruno-Tonali midfield three could be. They were just powerless to resist

  25. There's nothing wrong with voting against something, maximising the chances the tories are voted out of power or even (hopefully) obliterated. Get rid of them and then the constant pull to the right might be tempered. They'll either position themselves more centrally or become more extreme and become an irrelevance. Insinuations that Streeting is anywhere near the same leval as Sunak or Braverman are frankly insulting. The tories will have us out the ECHR if they won another election. Let that sink in what it would do to the the World and our children for generations. You should fight against that. Your choice. though.

  27. Not that it needed it, but this really highlights how inadequate the approach to our commercial side was under Ashley and the Semi-Sentient Hamster. “ Bung a Sp***s D****t sign on it, sell some hotdogs, boosh.”
