Joelinton makes such a difference to our press. I thought we frustrated them and perhaps even it was a plan by Howe to limit the minutes in the legs for Gordon and Bruno by setting up in a holding pattern with the two Lewis's until hitting them with early second half substitutes. I think a lot of the credit for the win goes to Howe. The substitutes were timed perfectly. He got in before Pep and we hit them before Pep could respond. Brilliant result. Another clean sheet. The machine appears to be clicking into gear. Hopefully we can maul Pep-lite's Burnley at the weekend and move into the next CL match with even more momentum.

I know I said Tonali needs time, and he was much better second half. He needs to be showing that tenacity more often and winning tackles high up the pitch. I also think that kind of result is indicative of Joelinton being in the side. The guy was all over tonight. He's an absolute beauty.
