  1. TBF to Targett and Mrs Targett, wor lass could barely cook when we first got together so you can draw your own conclusions on the initial attraction. Funny thing is, as the sexual interflora died down, so her cooking got better. She's a Michelin star chef these days.

  3. We need to stop calling that poor lass Spaniel Lugs. All she wanted to do was support her beloved team.

  5. In a nutshell. He bombarded Ant, at home and work, with so many repeated requests that it began to do his nut in. Absolute whopper. edit; Ant’s response to his initial request was that since Quiff used a username and email with no reference to his actual name, he would have to prove who he was before Ant could release any GDPR details because… well, GDPR

  6. Aye I think it was HMHM as well talking about how it’s always the same people interviewed at any event or for Football Focus or whatever for the “fan’s view” as well. I literally couldn’t give a fuck what most of them think. Even reckon Pearson must be on the payroll or something. Although fuck knows why. Because it’s pretty fucking difficult to get tickets for every single match unless you’re paying for hospitality ones

  7. I think you can take this 3 ways. 1) We arguably only had 4 players missing from the first XI (5 if you include both strikers) and the more seasoned pros all had stinkers and didn’t step up (I’m thinking mainly the midfield here not getting a grip of the game). 2) The players that had to play were gassed and the fringe players aren’t good enough. The way we play is so physically demanding that we are all fucked by Nov. We are either going to need a huge squad or Eddie will need to go to a more possession based game (which I think he bought Tonali for) in the future. Draw a line under this one and we recharge. 3) Dr Gloom

  8. A disappointing result but not a surprising result in hindsight. We've been due a performance like this one with the amount of injuries and general fatigue in the group from the recent set of games. Proud of the effort regardless of the result. This group has given their all and played above all expectations for almost two years now. They consistently do themselves and us proud every week. Other teams have started to slip up in recent weeks. Tottenham wobbling massively with a fraction of the injuries to deal with that we have. Liverpool dropped points and couldn't beat a French team named after defeat, probably. ManU sucks, and it's only a matter of time before their luck runs out. Villa have dropped points and look favourites for a dip in form any time soon. Arsenal suddenly look worse than last season despite all the money Arteta has spunked on high-profile crap. Chelsea are so shit they don't even warrant a mention beyond a reminder that they're hilariously bad. Honestly, I'd have taken a draw today with Wilson out. We were more threadbare than I've seen any Newcastle team for a long long time. Relatively speaking. It was always going to be tough. So we only dropped a point in my eyes. Despite a terrible run of luck with injuries and a few results which we could've gotten more from with a bit of luck, we're still basically a win away from the CL spots, into a LC quarter-final, and we're still in with a decent shout of making the knockouts for CL in the universally regarded group of death. We've already had some wonderful moments this season. Our stats show we should be higher up the PL table than we are currently. And we only have a month to go after the international break before we can strengthen again in the January window. This all goes to make the point that, I hope the away support sorted that dickhead for Tripps. Talk about a lack of perspective. Absolute knacker.

  9. We could see it going on… it’s weird, it looked like Trips went looking for the cunt because he was first over to the fans and went straight to that area so he might have been digging at Trips during the second half. What an absolute fuckin weapon. I didn’t see any trouble outside but if he got nicked the fuckin drivel monger deserves it. He wasn’t the only one, “comments from the cafe” from a minority of fuckin strap ons but the support in general was very good for when and where the game was. Some half decent performances but mostly tired and laboured across the board. No complaints whatsoever about our season so far. The players to their credit appear to be like the manager they just get on with it. We’ll see where that and the January window gets us 🤷🏻‍♂️

  12. Not really but in a way that makes me think they must be serious? A normal interview, a written test and/or some kind of rig test would be more than enough. If after all that it turns out to be Mickey mouse they'll just see a dust imprint of where I was standing.

  14. I don't mind commemorating those from world wars but anything post conscription is going too far imo. I feel sorry for anyone and their families who died/suffered post 65 or whenever it was but in the end they signed up for it and they aren't any kind of hero to me. I know it was a way out of poverty for many which is fair enough but the idea of "fighting for me/freedom" when it comes to Afghanistan or Iraq can get lost.

  15. I can’t think that I’ve ever heard more than one or two of them. The reason why I don’t is mostly down to him turning from an excellent journalist into basically a stenographer for PiF which the pic beautifully illustrates. Also that i formed the impression that Taylor was a self promoting wanker before he was on the podcast. I note his mate Besty has now returned to social media obscurity . Not sure if these things are connected or not As for Ms Hope, who I’m only really aware of via her notoriety on these pages, I’ve no idea as to her ticketing status. Didn’t see her in AFCB’s tiny concourse area yesterday and, as I noted earlier, neither have I ever seen her other than perhaps once with her cohort of smug SM types upstairs in the 3 Bulls. (The other fellah is Caulkins mate who works for the Cherries) So yeah. It looks fuckin awful when long standing supporters are being virtually criminalised by the club they’re likely to have supported for decades before Amanda Staveley could point to Tyneside on a fuckin map for the crime of passing a ticket on to a mate

  16. I didn't really give it much credence other than a piss take but when I saw certain guests in Saudi Arabia for a bootcamp you're thinking how the fuck did that come about? Pearson was one but he wasn't the only one, then some lad gets a ticket for Brighton who apparently was a Saudi red before and he's in the executive box getting wined and dined because sershul media. Look at that Roberto quasi-journalist? who happens to be an American Paraguayan (and didn't like to mention it), people falling over themselves to make sure he's looked after because he kept going on about NUFC and Miggy. Then you look at those still there or those who aren't who wouldn't get the lickings of a dog. Anyway, good luck if you can get it I suppose but it's not for me. Enjoy the ride those still clinging on.

  17. I don't and never have had a twitter account. have they changed the privacy side of it since it became x? anyway, I only get to see the embedded links people post on here, the very occasional visit to n.o. or stuff that people text me on whatsapp and that's limited to the tweet itself, the comments can't be viewed. seems to be commonly held opinion (that obviously doesn't mean it's factual) that spaniel lugs is a non seasonal ticket holder, has use of multis held by truefaith and regularly is a guest of journalists. not bad perks really for saying 'erm' more times than steve fucking gerrard. mind you, on the downside you get to have to be friends with alex hurst.

  19. We played our 3rd choice left back (Burn and Targett) our second choice CB (Botman) our 3rd choice CM (Bruno and Tonali) 3rd choice LW (Gordon and Barnes) ended up with our 3rd choice RW (Miggy and Murphy). No recognised striker (Wilson and Isak). There should be no complaints about Lascelles (he has been great) no matter what we think of him as he is next in line to start and you have to expect him to have some game time. When it comes to the rest, Hall is one for the future, as is Miley, Ritchie is one from the past, Joelinton was played out of position and is still not too long back from injury, Willock is not too long back from his injury. Tino had a bad injury last season. In the past when we have be 'ravaged' by injuries, we have been just been waiting for ASM and Wilson. With this list of injuries, you have to look at training and question the coaching element and what the manager is playing at. When you do this, you can see that most have happened in games and not due to the training techniques. We can say that we have been unlucky and just have to work our way through. Bruno and Isak are due back in our next game.

  22. Michelin stars originated as a way to sell more car tyres- if people were told the food in some gaff miles away was worth a trip, they’d wear through their tyres quicker, leading to more sales for Michelin. True story, bludz

  24. Look at the poor cunts who got a cannonball through the gut so some aristocrat could make a name for himself whilst the new superpower Britain had one of the poorest populations going if you took the extremely wealthy toffs out of the equation. 'They gave their lives so their families could be evicted into a ditch just so Lord Melchett could have a 300 acre estate with a mansion and die of syphilis after shagging everyone who he could whilst pissed as a cunt and on opium.'

  26. Aye what a monumental bellend that man is. Everyone's disappointed but no one can fault the effort from the players. It's been a brilliant season and these lads have worked their socks off. If you look at it as a whole over the last few weeks, we've done so well to stay in the CL, the league cup and a good position in the league all the whilst dealing with an injury crisis in the first season at this elite level for this squad, many of whom have never been in this position before. Not to mention we've drawn basically the most difficult opponents at every opportunity. Massive respect for Eddie and the team for remaining in a competitive position in all competitions through all of that. These are the motions we have to go through, over the next couple of years there will be more days like this as we become used to the rigours at this level and the squad expands and adapts. And don't forget this is all happening years ahead of schedule, and with the league and other big clubs doing seemingly all they can at every turn to stop it.

  27. Okay. I'm going to put a massive positive spin on this. We were absolutely bare bones today, moreso than any point I can ever remember. We lost but weren't disgraced. Personally I thought we played as well as possible given the circumstances and imo we gave everything, nothing wrong with morale. Last year we only drew against Bournemouth away, and only scraped a 1-0 win at home. We are 1 point worse off at this stage of the season with a slightly better GD. It's my belief we have played harder games at this stage than last year, with the added 4 CL games on top. We have witnessed some outstanding football and imo not once have we not given our all. It's disappointing but it's 1 point lost. We'll be okay.

  29. I get the point but if remembrance was about what it was supposed to be then you could argue German deaths should be remembered too. However as it's now all about glorifying British military victories your point stands.

  30. I think they must have anticipated this, especially with what happened during the takeover. They've clearly decided to play the long term game, knowing full well that with the potential the club has it will eventually become a self sustained behemoth if the correct structure is put in place. What Howe's managed to do with the squad years ahead of anyone wildest expectations must have left the cartel absolutely seething. You can see it in the vile poison the likes of Klopp, Arteta and Ten Hag spit. They're absolutely scrambling to try and put the brakes on. Little good it will do. I think if something very clearly anti competitive happens we could see the club take legal action, but the focus will remain on laying the foundations for the inevitable success that is coming.
