Just talking to one of the manager's at my place, worked at Nissan for years, says there was a few managers, (including him), that would sort two piles of job applications, 'SR' postcodes and 'NE' ones. 'SR' ones didn't make it past their screening process. "Make sure Nissan gets infiltrated with Tyneside managers. Make sure they hire predominantly Tyneside workers." "What about the rest?" "No you're right. It's only fair. Keep something back for the Durham Mags." Both: "Hahahaha." "8 points

She’s looking for a way out as well tbh, the politics like Gemmil said. She loves teaching and working with the kids but all the bullshit she has to do man, including working a full week at clearing on the phones like a salesman trying to get kids to join courses despite the uni having a recruitment team. She has a masters and is nearly finished her PhD and she’s working in a call centre Couple more years when the mortgage is gone and she can go and do community work with troubled kids or something that she will actually enjoy, and it will save me the ear ache of her moan at me for an hour as soon as she’s through the door4 points

Marcos Leonardo's agent (Rafaela Pimienta, the same that Haaland) has said that it is time for the player to leave Santos, now in January. Apparently, Roma made an offer of €18M in the summer and it was rejected. It seems that Santos and the player have reached an agreement to have an exit fee and, although it has not been revealed, it is rumored that it could be around €20M (it seems cheap to me for the crazy things that are being paid) Today Globo, in Brazil, says that Newcastle, Real Madrid and Arsenal are the most interested. I understand that the player will be a little more expensive because a fight and an auction will start and in the end the player who leaves the most commissions to the player and agents will win.3 points

Probably nothing. That's just what happens when musicians* don't speak to or socialise with anyone other than other than other musicians or techies for any length of time. *Frontmen and guitar players are the absolute worst for it on the surface. Bassists and drummers less obviously so, they'll quietly dictate things from the shadows. It's all just infantile posturing to prop up ego's. Music industry 101.2 points

Obviously I would never do it, horseshoe hair heed! That's why I just have to stop talking to her about it. If I ever go to their Christmas Party again though, all bets are off. It'd be like the game Hitman even down to the cueball heed.2 points

I think it is impossible for Iñaki Williams to leave Athletic because he earns 12M a year and is not a player who deserves to earn that. Only Athletic pays for it so that he doesn't leave. That said, he seems like a pretty disappointing forward to me. It is true that the pace of the Premier League can be good for him, but he is a player who misses a large number of fairly simple goals. In his early days, when he was younger, it seemed like he had a very good future, playing both on the wing and up front, but he has been stuck doing nothing for many years now. I don't see him playing in a team that plays with only one striker (like we do) and he is no better than Isak or Wilson. It is true that Iñaki has something good and that is that he never gets injured. He has the historical record of consecutive games played in Spain. In short, smoke.2 points

Not exactly reliable sources and it doesn’t seem likely. I think he’s decent but I could only see us signing a definite upgrade on Pope and probably not in the next couple of windows either.2 points

Doesn’t get any better in higher education, our lass is a university lecturer and it’s just as bad. She gets paid pretty well but if I worked out her hourly rate it would be either hilarious/depressing. Also she is starting to get the kids who had 2 years at home through covid and they are all backwards apparently1 point

My main takeaway from that graph is that we need to be having more pandemics. Lower immigration to keep the gammons happy, plus the gammons are disproportionately more likely to die. Everyone's a winner1 point
