Gaius Julius Caesar has let himself go a bit, one minute you're coming, seeing and conquering, next you're dealing with car salesman and writing in gibberish whilst criticising your new manager.... Just dinnot get me started on this marra.5 points

It's not though. We have to sell before we buy means we categorically cannot buy anyone until we bring some money in from player sales. He didn't say that so there's no reason to assume that it's true. You then said "if we need to sell before we buy, why are we turning down offers for players". But nobody every said we had to sell before we could buy. So the specific language really is important and it isn't just semantics.4 points

Lots of big accounts on X blaming either Brexit or net zero.. all agenda driven bollocks. Tata wanted to close Port Talbot and the rest of British Steel and this government has bunged them 500 mill to do so. No significant steel making capability now in the country that used to build ships for the whole world. That’s tragic not to mention dangerous from a manufacturing security point of view. What if China/Russia/some other set of cunts try to blockade imports? 😒4 points

Nailed on, just got a Trippier jersey for Christmas. First NUFC shirt I've had in more than a decade.4 points

Yet another player that has been here for a ridiculously long time. Coming on 7 years ffs. The amount of players who should have been stopgaps who have hung around for years is unbelievable. Cheers, Ashley3 points

I'd feel more comfortable about us losing the ability to manufacture virgin steel if we were part of a pan-european union rather than an isolated Billy no mates island mind. Net zero set by country is bollocks too. Importing high quality steel will clearly have a worse effect than if we made our own. Net zero should be measured as much on consumption as production.3 points

You could say the same about virtually everything he says though. All his commentary is predicated on what he’d do / what would happen knowing full well he’s never going to be in a position to deliver or even influence policy. Even the Brexit stuff is always later given the caveat it wasn’t the right kind of Brexit, opportunities have been squandered etc.3 points

That turd is just a product of Bran flakes and opiates. Add some guinness to that recovery diet and that poor bloke gets home a few days earlier and the nurse here is carrying a bucket of brown liquid.3 points

Get a fucking grip, you absolute fannies. You’re middle aged men, ffs. If he leaves he’s been a massive part of this team’s transformation to take us from being absolute shite nobodies to PL ‘playas’. So fair play and thanks a lot. But he came here for the money and cause it suited his career. Even if his weekly wage was lower his contract was bigger. If he wants to go, fine. It’s business. He’s towards the end of his career and we’re at the start of being so big we’ll need three wheelbarrows for each testicle. It’s not like the owners are going to pocket the money and not re-invest it3 points

Targett hasn't been useful practically since we signed him permanently. Not his fault but he still hasn't made much of an impression even when he's been fit.2 points

So we’ve signed up for net zero after we’ve left the EU. It’s nothing to do with Brexit. If you’re against losing 3k jobs (who isn’t?) fair enough but Farage and his pre Brexit bullshit have little to do with it. His comments are irrelevant. It’s on Tata and the present government as far as I can make out. Of course the jumped up little fascist is now making capital from it but that’s bollocks too. Tata have apparently run the fuckin place into the ground deliberately…2 points

Funniest comment I’ve seen related to him is a reply about his being 16 - when’s his birthday? 29th February?2 points

It kind goes without saying that if it were as simple as selling who we wanted to sell for a price that made sense then most of that lot would already be gone.2 points

I’d rather Targett, Hendrick, Krafh, Dummett, Murphy, Burn, Karius, Lascelles, Dubrakva, Gillespie, Hall,Longstaff, Fraser and Hayden were sold before Trips and Wilson.2 points

Of all the players on the "list" of saleable assets I think Tripps and Wilson are the right type. The right balance of ability and age to get good transfer fees, lower the wage bill meaningfully, and avoid losing players with capacity to improve and lose players before they decline and their sale value evaporates. It's still quite novel to be able to rationalise and see the logic to our transfer activity. Agree or disagree, at least it makes sense.2 points

To be fair to Clarke, hes not the first mackem winger who doesn't enjoy dealing with experienced opposition.2 points

I heard Bayern Munich were alerted to his brilliance after the best winger in Europe was shackled by him at the stadium of light a couple of weeks back2 points

That last points the key one for me. Anyone leaving will be sold with a view to using the money to improve, which is just NOT how its been for us in decades. The owners dont want or need to take any money out, they only want to be the biggest club they can.2 points

Some ITK postman has apparently uploaded a postcard already from Tripps to their lass so he's obviously already been over for a recce trip.2 points

If he really wants the move then there is no point in keeping him. As good as he can be but recent performances have shown that he has to be focused.2 points

I saw a post where they were saying not to hound the manager out like the “delewwwded bunch up the road”, meanwhile in the time span we’ve had Rafa, Bruce, and Howe - of which the fan base only gave one of those pelters - they’ve had something like 10 managers . They really do just make absolute shite up. The Al-Rummayyan stuff from them is bizarre, they have this real obsession in their head that absolutely no one in the media is making points about our ownership but meanwhile it’s pretty much the only discussion the media has about NUFC . Maybe they’re not discussing this case in particular but it’s not ground breaking stuff is it? Government minister involved in dealings of the government, additionally what do they think them waffling on endlessly is going to accomplish? Focus on your own shite club not your neighbors who are light years ahead.2 points
