  1. Yesterday my dad conspired to have a fall and smash his remaining good hip, so I'm in town all week to babysit my mother while the RVI works its magic. The one and only upside is I might be able to wangle an hour's time off to mosey on past Blue House Roundabout (not a euphemism... yet) and relive those 1993 glory days

  2. Luke Edwards is on this one, so I've got it on. Reveals that when he left the ground he felt lost, and so true to form had to go for a chicken kebab to try and process it.

  3. He'll be on Talk Sport shortly in order to show just how much he isn't bothered by Gayle's comments. If the fat cunt had've just let it lie it would have been a 24 hour twitter story but the silly bastard is dragging it out so everyone in the country is aware of just how useless he is.

  6. Shearer's the most disappointing one to watch defend him. That bloke will go after any and everyone managing or playing today if he thinks they're being unprofessional, but he won't hear a bad word said about Bruce cos they're mates. Load of shite.

  8. Might’ve mentioned this but in his early days as manager here I was talking to another parent whilst watching my laddie’s football training. We were saying at least he seems well liked / canny or words to that effect. The older sister of another lad was there. She works at SJP on match days. She said he was horrible, either rude or completely ignoring staff. Whereas the other players and coaches were the complete opposite. That was when he’d been there a few weeks before his failings became obvious and when he had no real excuse for being like that. I know it’s only an anecdote but the same lass never really mentioned her job there other than that. Just another little insight into what a strange and unpleasant character he seems to be. Not to mention how fake his jovial media persona is. Except when the mask slips when he gets mild criticism like off Gayle.

  9. My line manager comes in this morning, says good morning to me, drops his bag and goes to make a coffee. I was assuming he was going to bring up me putting my notice in when he came back in the room. Nah, went to his desk, put his ear phones on and that's it. So further makes me happy I am making the right decision.

  11. talking ro me old man last night about the bus parade to greet the players after the losing '74 cup final. I remember the 11 yr old me on the pitch with me brother who was 8, a mate called bill conroy, (now sadly departed, his uncle owned a furniture shop, seem to recall they had an advertising hoarding at the back of the gallowgate and were often matchday/ball sponsors) and me dad. the players came out on the west stand. me old man reckons it was reported that there was 250,000 lined the streets or in the ground. I would say 100,000 would be a poor turn out to be honest!

  13. He's just left 442 and started his own YouTube Channel called AC FC (Adam Clery Football Channel). It'll be worth a subscribe - his 442 videos were always good, and there's got to be a bumper Cup Final analysis video on the way.

  14. One of the cunts in the group was in Moscow, very likely still in the Kremlin after meeting Putin, while taking part in this chat - on signal which is not secure 🤣 It's like rounding up the thickest cunts you know and saying "go on then, run the country".

  16. 3 fucking months. My MD did say he would try and not hold me to that, but we are stacked and struggling to recruit as it is. I wont be having a leaving do. Fuck that shit. Dipper isn't speaking to me which is a blessing after I told him I cannot work on one of his projects that's 2 months late as I am stacked. He refuses to communicate with upper management about most stuff as he's late on every fucking job he's on. He's a manipulative piece of shit tbh and I am not playing his games.

  18. I don’t think you can consider Gayle‘s comments and the context as mild criticism. It’s scathing tbh. It’s a former player saying that he is a total fraud. The way Dwight starts giggling trying to think about anecdotes he can tell and the way the bruceysaurus baconensis acted after the takeover realising to be out of a job soon tells everything imho. I can totally understand him trying to defend himself and using ad hominem attacks towards Gayle. When you look at Bruce‘s career he has little success to show how he made it to more than 1000 games as a manager. His only ability seems to befriend the right people, especially journalists. That’s quite telling about his character too tbh, only to be nice to people he thinks are important. He was certainly the right person for Ashley to piss off fans after Benitez. An appointment out of spite, kept in the job out of spite. Maybe from a good family though. Alex excluded.

  23. Funny they read out a text to him from the fella who looks after the mascots at Reading saying how Bruce is the nicest man in football and has time for everyone. I'm guessing the fella at Reading has the initials A.B.

  24. Probably bought the media stuff at the time. A lot of journos trotted out stories. John Gibson even came out of retirement to do a piece which alluded to it. I didnt really mind his affection for ‘United’ as it was understandable given his success there. I can’t really say I had much of a view on him beyond thinking he was a dinosaur and a shit manager. To be honest it was more us looking for a redeeming feature of an otherwise typically abysmal Ashley appointment. When this lass put us straight me and the other fella laughed as I said well he hasn’t even got a nice personality going for him.

  25. Most managers will get stick from time to time or just mild criticism, it comes with the job. The majority will know cranks when they hear them and will just learn to switch off or laugh it off. But then we come to Bruce, I'm not a psychologist so could be talking shit but he's so thin skinned about it, and his son took not to mention his friends because they blatantly know it's all mostly true, he's fucking not only shite but lazy as fuck. They can't stand hearing about it because they know there's a lot more than a kernel of truth in the criticism even by the public let alone professionals who've played under him and you can take it to the bank there'll be many pros who don't want to seem unprofessional to others in their industry and who have said fuck all publicly. He, and his mates, are touchy for a reason.

  32. What's your notice? I've got a week left of mine, I'm now in that sweet spot where I've wrapped up all my projects and can put my feet up, will go for an 8 mile seaside walk today, and then maybe actually get round to fixing my LinkedIn to make me more desirable for future employment. No leaving do planned, which is normal at our place given the huge turnaround/attrition rate, though will meet up with some at a later date by hitching on to a company event they'll be paying for. My first day in the new job have a 9.15 morning start on the Monday, just figuring out whether to stay in Manchester on Sunday in a cheap hotel or get up at the crack of dawn and feel tired all day, probably will do the former.
