Following our unexpected outage the other day, and a few people saying they didn't know where to look for updates I thought I ought to update the OP here with where you can check if the board isn't working. Hoying this up quickly in the hope of redeeming myself for the site collapsing. Ipswich are shit but they're less shit than the other two shits at the bottom of the league. We've got a week to rest and reset after the villa game. There is absolutely no way this can go wrong.

Forest and Chelsea are absolutely gonna drop points based on recent evidence. Yesterday was a setback, but we're still the best placed of everyone outside of Liverpool and Arsenal to make the CL. It's Man City v Villa on Tuesday night, so someone's dropping points there. Forest and Chelsea play on the last day of the season, so someone's dropping points there. I'm still pretty confident we'll be fine. We've had a run of results going our way and us winning which has put us in this spot, so there was bound to be a setback at some point. We'll get back on track v Ipswich.

I was on their searching for a mention of what was going on, then trying to search the internet and getting lots of Toontastic cartoons stuff. Eventually found the Toontastic twitter feed and followed some members across to blue sky where I eventually got lost in a Eurovision thread and gave up

Our starting eleven is as good as villa’s but their squad is much, much better. That was clear yesterday. They changed half a side after their midweek game. We flogged the same players for the third time in a week. Three of our back four are 30+ and they looked it. I thought Schar was lucky not to be sent off, Trippier looked every one of his 34 years, Murphy, Bruno and Joe were all well off it. Our subs aren’t helping us at all either so we really need to have games won by the 60 minute mark as there’s a massive drop off in quality late in games. Wilson is offering nothing when he comes on. Gordon hasn’t done much since coming back either. Thank fuck we have a week to recover and prepare and we’re playing Ipswich at home next. We couldn’t have asked for a much better fixture to try to bounce back.

Chelsea and Forest will take points off each other, Man City and Villa too. We need to win our remaining home games which should be enough to stay ahead of at least two of the teams competing for CL places.

Didn't really fancy us yesterday so that result doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Hopefully the weekly games and rest time will get us through from now till the end of the season when we MUST get some first team ready players in.

tbh It might be handy as a backup but I wouldn't want us to change platform unless we really really had to, I like the old school-ness of this place and the format works for the relatively chaotic discussion style here. Discord would be a fuckin shitshow without a lot of pre-setup. While catastrophising today I have thought about this a lot and landed on the idea that if TT was dead I would rather build a completely new forum than move to discord or reddit or whatever.

So it took Toontastic collapsing to end the King’s reign. Sad way to relinquish the throne. Less said about the performance, the better. A game too far for a side unchanged for 7 games. Fair play to Villa, they bossed the game and looked fitter and fresher. Our defence looked old, slow and terrified of their pace. Luckily we have Ipswich at home next. CL is still very much in our hands. Win two of next three games and we’ll be fine.

Shit matchday. But it’s still in our hands. We just must not fuck up again.

We used to have a play pen where Ant put Quiff from time to time. Wound him up no end.

Shows to me the best way to beat us is to play like us. We do play in a similar way to each other, and since cardigan cunt got the gig there the results have see sawed to dramatic alternate wins for either side. This was their turn. We'll be fine though, Ipswich at home is what the doctor ordered, we could do with the doctor getting Eddie well though as well.

We should really have some back up space where we can assemble. Maybe a twitter account or a free discord server? Save us having to log onto Newcastle online to search for Toontastic updates

I’d like to take this opportunity to remind myself how much I fucking hate the Beige and hope it goes shittily bad for them.

They were really good btw. We looked like a team that had persisted with a starting 11 to the point of exhaustion. That's no criticism of Tindall, there was no obvious reason to change after Palace, but it just caught up with us. Their subs compared to ours underlined how important having a squad is. Villa have a women's team to sell to dig themselves out of their latest PSR hole, after filing a 13 month year in their accounts to get out of their last one. Joelinton in particular yesterday, couldn't weight a pass to save his life and Bruno wasn't much better. His booking was fucking idiotic - it's days like yesterday where he let's the emotions get the better of him, that you need a Trippier there as a backup captain.
