I'm currently addicted to Gold Rush. Smashed out 4 season on the spin. I've decided to take a break though and have started From - which is canny so far. Also started the new True Detective last night with Jodie Foster.

Will titles be stripped if you're found guilty? If not we should just blow 10bn on players in the summer. Win the league then CL.....then take a relegation or 2.

Financial rules were originally designed to protect clubs from going bust but it has been turned out that it just benefits the big six. it also has no real punishment for the owners/decision makers who can just disappear without any real punishment while the clubs get docked points and tumble down the league(s). ( slightly different from FFP but ’m thinking about Luton from 10+ years ago here where they were docked about 30 points due to administration and transfer irregularities as a prime example of owners fucking a club then doing a runner)

Yes, it was IDENTICAL to Brunos challenge. They both went to block/divert the ball. Both were probably happy to leave a mark on each other knowing this. Its a mans game. Just play on. I quite enjoyed the Mackem game where there could have been lots of VAR checks but we just played on without 100 slow-mo replays. VAR needs to fuck off and let the onfield ref just play on unless there is something off the ball. The ref is looking at the game, let him have the balls to make the decision. Slo-mo makes every tackle look a million times worse.

For me, Batty was quality . We had much more control of a game when he played. Accommodating Beardo on the left for Tino and inexperience lost us the title. Some of the players performances dropped off (Clarks no doubt would have as well as he was playing above his level) in the last third of the season.

The amount of nufc fans that wanted to do that to Nicky Butt when he played for us….

Im not sure there are many players like Davey Mac anymore. Even someone like Phillips or Alvarez are athletic enough to join in a press.

I think there are numerous factors. Pope being out is certainly highlighted the defiencies in the line. Perhaps eg Ramsdale isn't the worst option on loan if he can sweep better. I don't recall him excelling at this when I've watched him though. Miley is obviously inexperienced and wouldn't even been the squad if we everyone was available. He is basically 7th choice CM. While he is showing massive potential and even holds his own against world class players he can be exploited in the system. Its harder to get through the press when you have Big Joe there. You also have to factor in tiredness. The team can't execute the press when they've got nothing in the tank. When you're physically tired you can become momentarily mentally tired as well.

I think its just a stand off with Phillips at the moment. They want rid of him and want a big loan fee. Hopefully our plummet down the league might persuade them to do us favour and swerve the loan fee. Plus, if he plays well then it might put in the shop window.
