He's at the top of the pile of shit forwards (Shola, McLoven and Best), but we really need to get rid of them all. I still think Xisco hasn't been given a chance.

Villa and that great owner Randy Lerner who appointed that great manager Martin O'Neill and dished out a long term plan ie contract to him, may have adopted ours Villa plan? 1. Hire shite manager (O'neil) 2. Give shite manager lots of money to buy over priced players and underachieve 3. When the team falls short of anything worth while give shite manager more money to waste on over priced crap 4. When shite manager leaves, hire a new manager to completely overhaul the team and dice with relegation calling it a "rebuilding" phase. 5. Repeat step 1-4

Here's the interview where Pardew reckons we may have someone in by the weekend; "We've made a few enquiries, and are talking to one particular club trying to get a deal done before the weekend," Pardew told the Gazette. "It think that'll be quite important now." http://www.shieldsgazette.com/nufc/Pardew-...sfer.6681947.jp When asked on Skysports if Bentley was the type of player he was looking for he said. It was a well worded question and Bentleys is the type of player we wanted with his crossing ability

It's too early to say where we'll finish, injuries and the transfers will have a large impact. We have Ben Arfa to come back, which will give us a massive boost. If we can add Bentley then I'm very confident we'll finish 7-10. We came 7th with Rodent on the back of a strong finish, so there's no reason we can't again.

I think you've missed my point. Like it or not Perch is our second best left back. So selling him means your swapping poor cover for no cover.

Shearer in goal and Carroll at left back. Newcastle academy moto 'players have many positions'
-
I'm not defending his ability, I'm just saying people who want him sold are mad. He's a squad player who is paid peanuts AND he's our only cover for left back. Only short sighted people would think of selling a utility squad player when we have such a small squad.

For the money we'd get and wages they are on it's not worth selling them. Perch is our only Left back cover. Id honestly rather have jonas or smith at left back. Perch is fucking abysmal He was fine in the Spurs game. Stick to Football Manager for playing midfielders at left back. Jonas has played wing back before for mr cocaine. Stating smith was merely an excessive way of saying how shit perch is. Also he wasn't fine in the spurs game, although marking Lennon isn't exactly easy he was still below what would be considered average Jonas played wank as right back for Argentina and was dropped, so you want to play him left back. Makes sense Who would you play left wing if Jonas is left-back, Harper?

Apart from his mistake leading to the first goal and giving the ball away a couple of times, aye. What exactly could he have done differently? Watch it again. Kaboul won the initial header and wasn't tracked. http://www.goalstube.com/504090/Tottenham_...highlights.html Lennon is too quick to mark tight.

Being played out of position doesn't count. He's a centre back. N'Zogbia played left back for Newcastle and France U21.

I'd only want Bentley on loan too. Long time since he's looked a player and always seems to be picking up niggly injuries. He played quite a lot last season, and in the few times I saw him he was really good. Spurs are all about pace these days so he doesn't fit into their system, which makes it even more bizard they are looking at Beckham.
-
I can only imagine he has some sort of payment trigger in his contract or doesn't try in training. I'd like to see him given a proper go, as I thought he's played decent in the very few chances he's had. He didn't look the fastest, but seemed to chase after everything, which is a lot more than Shola and McLoven do. Oddly Hughton kept playing him on the wing.

I thought we'd try and pick up a few of the Championship players, so was a little disappointed to see Fryatt go to Hull. Nicky Maynard has been injured so I doubt he's on the clubs radar and I can't think of another striker with pace in that league. I'd be very surprised if we got Bentley, so that would be a massive bonus. Even though we badly need a striker with pace, I'd gladly settle for Bentley as the only signing. Luis Suarez, Bentley and van Aanholt would be an idea window.

Shane Ferguson tearing apart international opposition
Phil replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
He did, and even on that one performance I'd have him there instead of that cripple Perch. Perch put in a decent performance against Tottenham. -

Is you issue with Jonas, Shane or our youth policy? From what i've seen of him he's far too light weight and at least two or three years away from being anywhere near the first team. imo he's behind Lua Lua and would need to be loaned out. My issue is with the fact we've used him this season against top players and he PROVED on those occasions he wasnt too lightweight. Combine this with a player like Jonas who is contributing nothing to attack or defense. I dont see the big deal in letting the lad have another go. And lets not forget Beardsley already considers him to be good enough for the first team. Whether its just genral forum negativity but I simply seem to be missing the point in letting a good prospect who has performed well when asked, against quality players, replacing a player who is badly out of form. Jonas is right footed and played out of position at Newcastle for his link up play with Jose, so to suggest he is dropped for a youth player is madness. fwiw, I thought Ferguson struggled at Chelsea. -

If you spent more time reading and less typing you would have seen this.... It's not installed though. If you spent more time researching it and less typing you'd know this Its an app for your phone, so you would need to install it.
