  1. Tbf there'll be no one sicker about this than Leazes. Get fucked man he'll be gloating about it for months. "Are you learning yet lad". He thinks Ashley fucking up makes Shepherd great, his very basic logic will conclude nothing else. Notwithstanding whatever anyone thinks about Shepherd..........we are a selling club, and we do lack ambition. I think this transfer window proves that and I expect that most of the Carroll money will disappear into fatty's pocket. Not really fair to say we are a selling club. 35m is crazy money. More to the point we are not a buying club! Phil, to my mind we're a selling club when we flog one of our best players to one of the "big boys" without any plans whatsoever to replace his goals. So we massively weaken our first team at the worst possible time simply because we get a great offer for him. I don't have a problem with selling him as everyone has their price and I agree it's crazy money....but not reinvesting straightaway in a top notch replacement says selling club to me. Are you deluded? He got sold today with barely any time left. There was a lack of planning and being prepared for such a massive bid but no-one really expected it. Don't get me wrong, I hate Ashley but we will only be a selling club; if come the summer, we haven't spent nee-enough £40million (i.e reinvest the money). Until then, it is an unfair general statement to make. I think it's deluded to suppose they haven't been planning to sell carroll for a while now. See Harry Redknapp's comments, which I believe. Selling Carroll isn't the crime here, it's not bringing anyone in. Martins, Sturridge, Keane all loans that could have tied us over until the summer.

Liverpool have sold Torres, who is a lot better. We got more money in than David Villa. The money had to be taken, and i can't fault Ashley for accepting it. Where Ashley has f**ked up AGAIN, is not lining up any replacement. Liverpool ear marketed their replacements and you can bet if Carroll failed a medical Torres would still be at Liverpool.

    Football Boots

I have the same shinpads.... they are very light and can take a kick. They dont cover the lower shin or ankle, but i dont mind taking a kick once or twice a season for the benefit of lighter pads. My boots are Nike Mercurial Vapor VI FG They are very light, but not that noticeable after 5 minutes so not worth the extra money, oh and they don't come in black.
  7. I'm picturing Dekka and Ashley sniggering when the penned that one...
  8. Handing in a transfer request makes a massive difference as there are loyalty bonuses and other payments made to the player and his agent. But none of these apply if a transfer request is submitted. The club must have told the player they would only accept the offer if he handed in a transfer request. But make no mistake Carroll want the move as much as Ashley. Money talks.

    Carroll Poll

The problem the poll is no one really trusts Ashley. 35m is far too much to turn down. But Shola and Best leading the line is plain daft. If we can bring in Sturridge(5m) or Anelka (loan) or anyone else upfront I'll be happy. But no-one upfront coming in is not acceptable. We have to leverage Chelsea wanting Torres.
  10. Carroll has handed in a transfer request. And club accepted it.
  11. I cant see it happening, but I can't work out why the club announced we'd had an offer. It makes no sense, unless they wanted to generate more interest. Any player coming in would be a rushed purchase so would also be over priced. Unless we got him from the club he was sold too, or from someone in the buying chain. I'd have thought turning down £30m would dampen speculation as no-one would be daft enough to go higher than that for a lad who hasn't played a competitive international. The world's gone mad though as it only seems to have exacerbated speculation that clubs are lining up to pay even more. You think there's less speculation now, than yesterday.

  13. Regardless what he does even if the fee is over £30m, he's still a FCB, lets not lose sight of that. If he's reading this he's probably saying "Wotcha Del, can't faakin win wiv these norvun mankeys", well not with me he can't. Aye, my concern is if we have no intention of selling, why announce it to the world. Mention nothing and no-one would even know a bid had been made. Its naive to think the club has announced it for our benefit.
  14. I can't believe there are people thinking we should even consider selling Carroll. Why on earth they would want to watch Shola and Best week in week out is beyond me. Now if Chelsea do buy Torres, we should be sniffing around Daniel Sturridge
  15. I disagree. I believe LM says the same as I do, that you cant compete at any level unless you populate your team with players of the quality required. That cannot be done at the highest level based on loans and lower league "prospects" you have to have some level of balance between new exciting young prospects and experienced top level players. If you want to break into Europe then you have to speculate to accumulate. I dont know for definite if LM thinks we should break the bank, I know I dont think that we should but I do believe that a club of our size and potential income should be able to go out and spend £10m on a player if they're the cog we need to pull it together. What is also true is that if you do not compete at the level then you cannot hold onto your Carrolls, Ben Arfas, Tiotes and the like. Sooner or later they'll have their heads turned by the prospect of Champions League, Premiership winners medals, FA Cups etc Overall I believe that is what Leazes is saying and I agree. For the record, if we get through tomorrow and havent sold any of our main players and bring in another couple of faces be they on loan or whatever then I will be happy. We brought in Ben Arfa and Tiote last summer and offers for Barton and Carroll have been rejected this month. So would that make LM pro Ashley?
  16. your itk cock man, is he speed dial 1?
  17. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11678_6707495,00.html Sounds like he has a shit attitude in training. But its nice to see Pardew acknowledge the club has royally f**ked him over.
  18. Liverpool leaked the story. For some reason they think its good their rivals think they have a chance at buying there only decent player.
  19. If there was a University Course about being a cunt, he'd be professor and a lecturer on it. He'd have more letters after his name than the average Polish persons surname. He is a massive TWAT, a cringeworth, dense, toon hating, thick mug who should never be anywhere near a camera. He doesn't have anything real to say. The man also has the Armani logo tattooed on his arm, what a cunt! Has he fuck me, to be honest I'm not surprised, but I will go even further, anyone who thinks he's "alright" is a categorical mug. While I think he's a knob, I prefer him to the boring MOTD lot.

    Aargh my head

Lol nah, I used to share a very long car trip once a week to reading with a guy who was into quantum physics. Each trip he'd come up with a scenario similar to this. It was his idea of fun

That's some hypothetical telescope. Light year is a measurement in itself. So if you are 9 light years away you'd see light that bounced off The Monument 9 years ago. As Parky says travelling fast changes relative time, so what you would see would be 9 years old, just not relative to your original time frame, as time becomes a variable

    Aargh my head

Is it possible to view something x number of light years away if you are travelling at the speed of light? Wouldn't the sheer speed which you were travelling distort any image so much that it would be impossible to see anything? We dont see images, but process light reflecting off objects, this information travels to us at the speed of light. So you would have to travel faster than the speed of light to distort a relative position.
