  1. I remember the 2 goals he scored in a same game against Spurs. Both outrageous! I remember when he pulled the trigger for the second thinking "what the fuck is he doing?" and it flew in!
  2. anyone wanting to go fishing on an iPad, Puffin is a god send.
  3. .com also saying Ba and Cisse doubtful. Pretty much all our 'reliables' possibly not starting. Barfa, Cabaye, Cisse, Ba, Coloccini and Tiote. Brilliant.
  4. Thats the one. I can see him wanting to fuck off there....not MK Dons will be in for him next
  5. SSN reporting an 'abroad club' have activated Ba's £7m release clause. Didn't Galatasaray supposedly do that a few weeks ago....?
  6. Really impressed with Sameobi. Made his brother look woeful (but then again, he doesn't need an excuse to look woeful) Lackluster keeping at the end ruined the general overall good game. Cisse had some lovely touches and good to see Abeid come into the frame.
  7. Fair point and well made. Wavelength now well and truly tuned in and I agree.
  8. I'm just saying what I read and I believe it once he signs. Same with any transfer or contract extension. On balance, i believe he will stay but can anyone be sure until he puts pen to paper?
  9. ESPN now reporting Ba is happy at Newcastle and talks are happening with the club over a new contract. I always take these reports with a pinch of salt until a dotted line is signed.
  10. Our ex interest Modibo Maiga has agreed to join West Ham for €7m
  11. According to the Sun, Barca sniffing around Cabaye.
  12. Yep, just heard RVP is not signing a new contract. Gooners without RVP is a disaster for them....
  13. Yep, the Sun have now jumped on that http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4361695/Hatem-Ben-Arfa-transfer-alert.html
  14. I must be in the minority then. His close control in the wider position hasn't been great. He gives the ball away way too easily and he fumbles with it. We all know he can score and has been unlucky with the woodwork and some outstanding saves but aside from that, i am not seeing what you guys are seeing. He is an absolute asset in that central role granted, but not sold otherwise.
  15. When Ba was playing in Cisse's position, he was deadly but he won't be playing there again unless we either sell Cisse or he gets injured. Playing to the left of Cisse just didn't work for Ba. His touch and control was awkward and cumbersome and he lacked creativity. If we continue to play him in this position, I for one wouldn't mind him departing, as long as we replace him with someone who can play in that position.
  16. Well, I could handle the relegation season in SD! Black and white would have sufficed to be honest!
  17. I see the new season review DVD is due for release shortly as advertised on .com. Is this only on DVD or is there a Blu-ray version of these normally available? Football in SD isn't quite the same. This season needs to be in HD!
  18. He has been on French TV today saying he doesn't want to leave Newcastle, he loves it here and likes the direction the club is going in. The rumours are bound to start but I believe he will stay.
  19. Really chuffed for Southampton. Great club, great stadium and as I live in Bournemouth, I can get to see the Toon on my doorstep next season!
  20. I just don't understand why if Chelsea win the CL, then 4th place is Europa. When Liverpool won in 2005, they didn't get 4th that season. Everton did, but Liverpool were allowed back into the CL to defend their crown and Everton still got their CL qualifier (which they duly fucked up). Why is it different this time?
  21. Also, again Perch was outstanding. The transformation with him keeps impressing so much
  22. Pardew played a blinder today as did the players. Not many teams can cope with that pressure of not having the ball but we always looked comfortable and Cisse, what else is there to say about him?
