  1. Alright, say we were 1-0 down, up against it, hostile home crowd. You're trying to sing to get behind the lads, surrounded by about 30 Mags who are with their girlfriends and won't sing. You think that's okay? Our home atmosphere is getting better by game because everyone in the L7 corner makes an effort to sing. Our away following should be the same. If they don't want to contribute, they should fuck off and watch it on the box.
  2. In my book, it does. Standing for 90 minutes and singing is what makes us stand out from other clubs. I agree with Acca that they deserve praise for making the journey, but I just don't get the mentality of people who just stand still throughout the game. When Reading came to SJP and sat down and didn't sing for the whole game, I felt sorry for them and wondered what they get out of following their team. We need to get the atmosphere buzzing again at Blackpool (though it'll be hard with no roof).
  3. ...was absolutely gash at times. I was stood (as you look at the pitch) on the left hand side of our end, towards the front, and there were entire sections of about 30/40 lads not singing all game. Why the fuck travel for 10 hours at the weekend only to stand there in silence. Some of the lads at the back did a good job in getting some songs going, but overall it was embarassing at times.
  4. He gets in there, challenges in the air, holds the ball up well and throws his weight around....but I think someone needs to tell him he's allowed to shoot
  5. Well, that's a fair point. But my opinion is that, out of six games, we've only comprehensively deserved to win one and the other five have just been a case of the Championship opposition being shite. So it's not us being good, and until I see more evidence of us being good, I won't believe talk of promotion.
  6. How can it be irrelevant when we've just played two games - two weeks apart - with no striker? Are you saying all those teams only have two strikers on their books?
  7. Yes, but I don't know if their squads have more depth than ours.
  8. I agree, but that's only because or squad is so thin. I have no doubs that our strongest XI can cope with the next few games, but it worries me a little that we've only got two strikers and, when both of them don't play, we only have one shot on target in an entire game.
  9. The coming three weeks will be a key part of the season, I think. If our season is going to be tested by anything, it's two games in a week for a few weeks. The fixture list has been kind though: Blackpool - promoted, beatable Plymouth - relegation zone, beatable Ipswich - struggling, beatable QPR - bottom home, beatable Peterborough - struggling, beatable. We should, on paper, win all those, but it's whether our squad will cope with the demand.
  10. Only by Championship standard. At WMBA and Reading, we let the opposition in for a clear one on one in the opening 10 games, but the attacking calibre in this division is such that you can get away with it.
  11. You can say that again. One shot on target I made it.
  12. I'm really desperate for a Blackpool ticket now if anyone can help at all. PM if you can.
  13. I went to the box office yesterday to buy a standing ticket, but they still were not selling them due to the seats not being sold I don't know what the crack is like, but my mate already ordered us 2 from his season ticket before he went on his hols, and now I want to try and change them over, does anyone know if I could change them at the box office when the standing goes on sale? Women in the box office told me no one wants the seating, which is understandble. I think what's been happening is, STHs and 12M members have been buying seated tickets and then swapping them for terrace tickets, so every time someone wants to buy one, they automatically get allocated seating. Basically, Peterborough save money if they can close the terrace because it means fewer stewards etc. But it's a farce as we'll clearly have enough of a following to justify the terrace.
  14. Damn...I got here too late. I still need one Blackpool away ticket if anyone can sort it. Pretty please
  15. Keeping it real?! You should see where he went on his last holiday...£5m it cost. http://www.hitched.co.uk/Chat/blogs/weddin...rivate-jet.aspx Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand has spared no expense on his impending nuptials with fiancee Rebecca Ellison. The 30-year-old and his bride-to-be, 29, have revealed that their wedding venue will be at a luxury Caribbean getaway when they tie the knot next weekend. And, acknowledging that their 100 or so guests may not have the money to jet off to a tropical island at the drop of a hat, Rio has decided to fly them there in a luxury private jet. According to a source close to the couple, guests' wedding invitations were made to look like passports and at first they were not told where they are going to be whisked away to. "Rio has picked the most luxurious and romantic venue imaginable and no expense is being spared," he told the Mirror. Fellow footballer Joe Cole tied the knot with his partner Carly Zucker on Saturday. They are reported to have sold the photo rights to a glossy magazine, with the intention of giving the £2 million fee to charity.
  16. As far as I'm aware, there is no deadline. You can sign a certain number of loan players (I can't remember how many) until about February and then as many 'emergency' loans as you want.
  17. Scrap that...it's working now. The online ticket facility is a pile of wank.
  18. I'm trying (and failing) to buy one online, yet .com or .co.uk doesn't say it's sold out.

Makes me laugh that we're on so many times and shite teams like Bolton aren't on at all until January I don't mind TV coverage, as long as they don't mess around with the kick off times too much. Cardiff at 3pm on a Saturday would be fine, but 2pm on Sunday beats noon on a Saturday (still a trek though, I'm staying over the night before). I personally prefer home games that aren't televised: The crowd was bigger for Sheff Wed, mostly because it wasn't on TV.
  20. Did it happen? Nope....but apparently, the Manure fans get treated like shit if they dare to stand up and many have had their season tickets taken off them.
  21. Maybe you're right, you make a good point. Either way, Leicester seemed to do most of their attacking (when they bothered to stop playing long ball) down their right and so it made sense to bring Geremi across. Don't get me wrong, I really want to like Enrique. I'm not one of those fans that decides they dislike a player and keeps the same mindset forevermore. Let's hope he proves me wrong.
  22. Exactly. Couldn't've put it better myself.
  23. These two sentences stand out for what they are, utter bullshit. One Ashley the cunt hasn't been spot on once in his decisions with the club. And two, Keegan was the one undermined by Ashley and his bunch of cronies. Don't ever be mistaken, there was only one person, well actually no there are thousands of us, who were sold a lie. Hang on, you're judging on something you don't know the context of. First, when I said "Fatty is spot on" I meant the original poster in this thread, not Ashley. FFS! And second, I never said Ashley's decisions were right or wrong. I was simply looking at it from Ashley's perspective. For what it's worth, my view is that Ashley's decision to bring in that little runt Wise was an absolute disaster. You cannot have a situation where the manager is having players bought for him, yet is being asked to take responsibility for their failure. Now, from Ashley's perspective, Keegan knew about Wise's appointment and, rather than talk to him about it at an early stage, he confronted him about it around transfer window time and effectively said "change it or I'll go." Keegan knew full well that, if Ashley said 'no' he could walk and get the full backing of the fans - rightly or wrongly - and Ashley FELT undermined by that. I was simply saying that Ashley will not want to be put in that situation again.
