  1. Is that the walkway on the High Level? Cracking shot.
  2. Funniest one I've seen wasn't a joke at all. That crappy programme that's replaced GMTV were interviewing Mark Wahlberg in Leicester Square and they asked him about George Michael. His response was something along the lines of: "5 years ago I might have smoked it with him.... George may well enjoy prison." The last bit was said with a wry grin on his face
  3. Yous started it Your first post: http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...mp;#entry779096
  4. We'll delete yours when we are bored of you. You wont be getting another one. Scousers not welcome on this forum whys that? You were more than welcome until you started attacking Newcastle and the people who live there tbf. Not surprising to see a Scouser playing the victim mind you...
  5. I think you are giving yourself a bit too much credit there. To be able to "pick on clubs" would imply that your knowledge of such clubs was significant enough to really have a go, but much of the time you make it up as you go along and get one of your alter egos to agree with you. I wouldn't be so ridiculously inane to debate such an obviously drunken/doped up statement. Having no idea what dippers are your last sentence makes no sense to me. Hark at the pot calling us black!
  6. tbf you're quoting someone's comments where they have specifically mentioned attendances post 92 and you've made comments about two decades before that. Hasn't gone unnoticed that you haven't backed up your claims with any figures of any note. For the record if you'd bothered to do any background research before you made those claims, you'd have learned that the 'Popular' terrace was replaced by a stand in the early 70s which reduced our capacity by around 30% whilst the building work too place. Then during the late 70s the Leazes End was demolished and we were left with a terrace more than half the size of what we had before vastly reducing our capacity further. Fast forward to the late 80s and the tragedy at Bradford rendered the West Stand condemned and that too was rebuilt - again reducing our capacity massively during the demolition and construction phase. The important factor is that with a few rare exceptions, we almost always filled the capacity we had available to us. Personally I think the average gates argument is poor - but if you're going to attack it, at least get your fucking facts straight dickhead.
  7. We can change the topic to my spunk... if you wish Watch out Cath, it's Dan the Man mk II
  8. Both Rooney and Valencia have fucked their ankles. Valencia has definitely broken his like. TV aren't showing a replay which speaks volumes.
  9. If you say so... Though that was never anybody's point of view being debated Well, you're the one seemingly intent on comparing him favourably with the previous regime, regardless of the facts. As shown by the bits you've put in bold. Feel free to put me right though. How much did shepherd spend out of his personal fortune on players like? Not comparable. Shepherd didn't own the club.
  10. Organising a 'burn the book' get together I should imagine.
  11. If you have anything about you, you'll pop back on here after the match to comment regardless of the result. Truth is, if it doesn't turn out how you perceive we won't see you for dust.

I went to a good few aways that season and it wasn't until then that I actually saw us win, think it was in April too! Remember the jimmy smiths black & white army going on for ages. Also, did anyone remember going to Ewood Park a year later, early in the season it was, it was a truly shit game when in the 90th minute O'Brien scored the only goal of the game and 5,000 Mags started chanting the tune to 'Toms Diner' by Suzanne Vega. Never heard us do it before this game or after it! I wasnt at that one but I was the one the year after, felt dangerously full 7000 in at least, KK first away game Speedie got a hattrick, and he gave us the v's after one of his goals, cos 7000 voices all sang we've all shagged ya wife Speedie, Speedie. Aye, I remember mags surging to get at the little cunt after he gloated in front of us, he got the stick for attempting to kick Tommy Wrights head off which lead to their first goal and also for just being David Speedie. He wasn't too impressed with the 'shagged your wife' song. Judging by the look on his face I often wondered if his kids looked like their dad or if they looked like Speedie, instead! Speedie wasn't the one who tried to behead Tommy, it was Jason Wilcox. Speedie was irratating little cunt who decided that the drop-ball that was awarded (fucking stupid refereeing decision that BTW!) was fair game for him rather than him courteously allow us to have the ball back seeing as it was our player that was maimed. That and his ridiculous carry on after his hat-trick goal. He'd have been booked for that these days.
  13. Watch the video youtube soft shite "Soft shite" is right for that video. Nowt happened. Exactly Some bloke stood in front of his car smoking a tab and another knocked on his window with one knuckle. I appreciate it takes some doing for a scouser to lift his knuckles that high off the ground but all the same....
  14. Everyone in this forum would be reaching for the bog roll if it happened to them. (including me) Really? I'd suggest most of those upwards of 30 who post on here have experienced much worse in their lifetime. I certainly have.
  15. Hardly a fucking riot like..... Probably were concerned the fat cunt could breathe properly seeing as the shirt he nicked was 4 sizes too small.
  16. Thats what I'm saying I think the mans away with the mixer. Utd fans funny as Alan Carr and he does me fucking head in. I'm a Liverpool supporter someone hacked into me account and changed me user name. Why don't you get your 'mate' to hack in and change it back again then?
  17. Hang on a minute Stevie, you were praising the architecture of their stand not long back...
  18. It was the Mackems wasn't it? When they were running away with Division One in the mid 90s?

I know your comments are aimed at the interior Stevie and having never been there, I can't comment. The exterior however is extremely reminiscant to SJP and would be almost identical had we pushed through with the L7 developments at the Gallowgate end. The rear facade of the modern stand to the right of the picture is almost identical to that of the Gallowgate end.
  20. I love cloud work... particularly when you get enough light breaking through that the foreground sillhouettes. Great shot JawD

Most people had the steel ones IIRC yet ours were good old fashioned reinforced concrete. I think I remember reading somewhere in the aftermath of Hillsborough that "if they'd had concrete crush barriers like at Newcastle United, the barriers most likely wouldn't have failed". When I was little I used to sit on one of them with my dads arms either side of me. He had to hold on tight sometimes otherwise I'd have been lost in the seething mass I used to sit on one too. Regularly got launched 10ft in front of where I was sitting when there was a crush from behind.
