  1. When KK got Sheedy I thought he was the best left winger I'd seen at the club. Only for him to replace him with one better in Sellars. Highlights the fucking garbage we were subjected to before.
  2. Wonder if this is where SMO got the idea?
  3. We had some fucking garbage during them days though. I shudder at the memory of the likes of Paul Sweeney Mark Stimson Kenny Sansom Lee Payne Frank Pingel Rob McDonald
  4. Ardilles obviously rated him as he had him as a player up here. You'd think he'd have known better. Not sure if you'd say he was underrated/underestimated as such but David McCreery was such a steady player for us. Didn't Spurs pay best part of a million for him when he was pushing 30?
  5. Did alright for us when he deputised for Tommy Wright at Birmingham.. Was is that prick David Speedie who knocked Brock out after he went in goal?
  6. McDonalds employee filling the tills of a fast-food rival.. your bosses must be so proud
  7. I'm concerned how much I agree with Stevie Amazed the likes of Ranson, Brock & Scott were mentioned. Tell you some others I think were underrated: Darren Jackson Michael O'Neill Bjorn Kristensen Liam O'Brien
  8. Goddard is a brilliant mention - saved us from the shit in 86/87 and when we sold him in the summer of 88, we ended up nose-diving out of division one the following season. Mark McGhee was another underrated player in my mind.
  9. Lost a lot of credibility when he refused firstly to play on the wing and secondly to accept the captain's armband at Middlesbrough on the opening day of the 04/05 season IMO. Many didn't forgive him for that misdemeanor.
  10. Levein obviously borrowed the timing officials off SAF. Scotland score a winner in the 97th minute! 4th official had called minimum 5!!
  11. Bellamy for me, before we signed him. I was convinced Bobby was buying a donkey.
  12. New crest arrived the same summer we got the 'NEI Scoreboard'.. 1988.
  13. Yeah it was, I really cant remember what game it was. Would have been in Europe, but cant recall who we were playing. Two games we played in France against Metz and Monaco.
  14. I never once saw that place open. Howay then Stevie, question no.3??
  15. Some suggestion that it could be MacDonald. Fuck the condolences tbh, they deserve everything they get
  16. Aye and the footytube site is still going strong several years later - all that is a concoction of web-hosted video clips, youtube amongst them. Seriously, banning anyone for posting a youtube clip is as hitleresque as you can get. At the very most the link should be removed but even that is OTT.
  17. Yeah, that has been the argument of multiple owners of P2P sites as well who have been closed down. It doesn't stand up at all, sorry. Links, names please Andy TIA How about: www.newcastle-online.org ? We were shut down a couple of years back due to the posting of copyrighted information after our hosts received a letter warning them. That's where the rule initially came from. Time to change hosts then - sound pathetic as fuck
  18. I do, its a pity we'll never get to find out though isnt it? A big pity, if only the club was left in a financial position to be able to get there Also a pity Mike didnt look at the club in greater detail before he bought it. Mind, even if it was in good shape, would that have stopped him making all the fuck ups he has? Well, Im saying it wasnt in good shape, I dont maybe think it was as bad as some would have you believe just as now with mike holding the purse strings. I feel we are ran within our means but I also feel money generated is going down due to him driving people away (commercial as well as fans) I love the way the fans in general are 'talked down to' by those retards in charge on the premise that they believe they know how to run a business and we don't. Fuck's sake, many, many fans & season tickets-holders are successful businessmen. IIRC you're one of them, aren't you JawD? Probably do a damned sight better job than this bunch of cocks have as well...
  19. Funny.... you've claimed several times in this thread that someone's PM'd you!
  20. Nar you're right there, if you were in the front row of the east stand paddock and the ball was on the milburn side, then you couldnt actually see the ball, and vice versa, but the slope went from the leazes down to the gallowgate. Aye I know there was a slight incline up from the Gallowgate to the Leazes but the crest in the middle of the pitch was horrific. Quite how anyone on the bench could ever see what was going on on the far side of the pitch is beyond me...
  21. Yeah, that has been the argument of multiple owners of P2P sites as well who have been closed down. It doesn't stand up at all, sorry. A web forum is NOT a P2P site though. Besides it's how you're dealing with it that's the issue - if you're taking that stance then ban anyone who links to any YouTube clip as you can't argue that they know what is and what isn't copyright. Trouble is, if you take that stance you'll ban almost everybody and destroy your userbase. As someone who is ultra-careful about infringing copyright law in his line of work, I've got to say you're being incredibly anal and over the top.
  22. self-opinion. As has been mooted already, he commands a level of respect for confessing.
