Cool, cheers for that I'm free most days next week so how about Monday at Starbucks again? I'll be finished work at half 4 if that's any good?
-
You'd put every image in B&W given half the chance though in all fairness How you getting on with Stacey & Lee's pics btw? I've just started on them so got up until Stacey arrived done so far... gonna be at least until the end of the weekend before I'm even close to finishing!

Just a suggestion but on another forum I go on they ask that when you submit a photo you ask for feedback on particular areas, so instead of just posting and hoping others will comment, it forces you to think about what you did and what you think you need feedback on. It also then means you don't post so many at one time as it's hard to give feedback when there's quite a few and all different styles, content and settings used. I don't have a problem with you posting plenty at once btw, just if you want feedback then i'd advise just posting a couple that you've taken using a shallow DOF for example and ask how it works with the DOF, what could have been done better etc. There ae some decent images in there but I think you would benefit like I said before of trying to experiment with things like DOF or shutter speed and things like this... post a couple of examples and say "I used f/4 and got this, then f/8 and got this... which is better, why and how could I improve the pics next time"

Ate at Red Mezze for the 2nd time last night... hadn't been back since the 1st time just over a year ago despite loving the place (we don't eat out very often and I like to try new places when we do). Anyway the gap over over 12 months was a ridiculous error as yet again the food was AMAZING! In fact I remember stating last time that it had been the best grub I'd had in Newcastle, and having been back again I uttered the same words. We had a Calamares starter to share which was excellent... then I had the mixed grill and the missus had some sort of Fajita type thing. My god it was good! Every type of meat on my plate was BBQ'd to perfection, tender and tasty as hell... also a lovely spicy salsa and rice came with the dish. Didn't try the missus meal as it had mushrooms and creme in it and I don't eat either but she assured me it was superb. She had 2 glasses of wine and I had 2 beers. Total price £39 Honestly if you haven't been here then you need to go ASAP. Ask for a table downstairs though as the upstairs bit is too cramped and busy for my liking. -
I've come up with another joke which is probably even worse than my last one: How do mexicans keep their feet warm? Burritos Might take a few seconds for that one to sink in
-
Clearly missed the point of this whole thread
-
I genuingly don't get this one
-
Very good!

All jokes have to originate from someone right? So let's see if we can come up with some that have never been heard before and that might be the next 'why did the clock with only one hand cross the road?'. I know about 99% will be awful, so let's us no mock terrible attempts too much (a little mocking is fine)... Ok I'll go 1st... and yes mine will of course be utterly shite How does a bird open a can? With a wing pull

It's for camera gear for my photography business... I don't have the cash in my account, however I do have a sizable overdraft that £180 month for instance can come out of with the aim of business coming in at a rate that means hopefully I don't have to dive too far in to it and get hit with large interest charges on that. It'll probably save me money doing it this way as opposed to maxing out the overdraft and paying that off bit by bit. Think I'll do it using the 10 month interest free... seems to make sense
-
Haha ok cool cheers... I'll ask the company and see what the crack is
-
Never done this before so just wondering how you pay it back. If it's 10 months interest free credit do you basically not pay anything back for 10 months then everything with no interest added... or do you have to still make monthly payments?

I normally just give a sheepish smile and a slight nod of the head in those situations... but yeah I know exactly what you mean lol! -

I also hate it when you see someone you know and you say "Hi, how are you", but they say the same thing at exactly the same time... and then there's a really uncomfortable pause where you have a mexican stand off not wanting to say anything in case they speak at the same time again. Happened to me and my neighbour the other day -

Mrs Ajax_Andy - They've found a bomb from WW2 under Schipol airport (Amsterdam) Me - Oh wow I wonder how long it's been there for?!

I kind of feel you're just shooting away without much aim tbh... I mean some of the pics are fine, but what are you trying to achieve with them? The best way to learn would be to focus on one aspect of photography at a time and try and hone your skill in that area. So maybe choose to learn depth of field using aperture, try it with a wide aperture, then a shallow one and see what the different effects are on the images. Then move on to shutter speed or macro images etc. Try find some challenges on the internet for beginners and do them as it'll help you plan shots more and have a bit more aim as to what you are trying to achieve

Pretty fucking sneaky hidding in the box of some anti mosquito spray... with devious minds like that I fear for the human race
-
Bought some Deet anti mosquito spray for when I go to Morroco in October. I just opened the packet and as I did I felt something on my arm... looked down and there's a small bump that suddenly got extremely itchy... yes I'd been bitten by a fuckin midgey or mosquito. WTF kind of cruel irony is that?!

I might get something like this... foldable, looks like a proper bike and has gears for those hilly bits: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stowabike-Folding-Dual-Suspension-Mountain/dp/B0073CGA16/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1345018405&sr=8-8

Yeah road for some but a lot of cycle paths too... basically along scotswood road, over scotswood bridge, up chainbridge road, then blaydon to ryton. What's 'the MTB'... probs a stupid question but no idea what that stands for
