Just read that the new iPad is going to be out on the 2nd of November... anyone know how this will affect the price of the iPad 3? Has anyone bought a previous gen iPad just after a new one has been released before as I'm very keen on picking up the 3 version if the price is likely to come down in a few weeks.

Anyone want them? Mods feel free to move this to the classifieds but I've posted it here as the missus is giving me ear ache about finding someone to buy them as we've booked to go away on that date so can't go now. I was supposed to post this a couple of days back and forgot so put it in general chat in the hope more people see it that way.

Thanks for clearing that up... I've contacted OFSTED and they are going to investigate

I went to a nursery the other day and noticed the nursery nurse had written on her hand in biro... will it rub off?

Driving on the dual carriageway / motorway at night
ajax_andy replied to ajax_andy's topic in General Chat
Aye that's annoying like! I wouldn't ever do that and tbh I never usually drive on the motorway with my full beam on... was just in a hurry to get home as had a looooong day working whilst suffering from man flu -
Driving on the dual carriageway / motorway at night

Cheers lads... wasn't sure there was much need when the cars were so far away but I'll make sure I'm a little more considerate next time -
Just wondering what people's thoughts are on the correct etiquete when driving at night on a dark motorway or dual carriageway if there's nothing in front? If I'm in the slow lane and there's nothing in front is it ok to use my full beam, or will that distract drivers on the other side of the dual carriageway / motorway? I don't usually use full beam but was driving back from Morpeth at about 10pm last night and there's sections where there are no street lights... I was in a bit of a rush to get home so was doing about 75 with my full beam on. A few cars where going the other way but there's a kind of hedge between us so I didn't think it would be an issue, but then a lorry started flashing me to tell me to dip them. So what does everyone else do on the motorway in the dark if there's nothing in front of them? Dipped at all times, just when they see something coming the other way (which is all the time), or just full beam because it won't really effect them anyway?

Thnaks mate, I'm quite excited about him as we've lacked any real flair players for a while now. I think we may see him up top more once he's fully fit but Moyes said he was a few weeks behind everyone else in terms of match fitness and also it'll take him a while to adapt to the likes of Terry kicking him up in the air all the time in this league. Out wide he's probably going to find it a little easier to learn the pace of the game. I think you're right about Fellaini as we don't really have any back up for him, and Baines is just as important to us... maybe more so tbh as his link up with Stevie P is our most potent attacking threat. Also depending on how badly knackered Jelavic is we may struggle to score goals if he's out for long. We have a great 1st team but we still have very little depth, which when we have far greater depth than other seasons just shows how mad it is we've done ok over recent years!

Haha tbh I'm just a bit bored and winding McFail up passes the time... I've read the same posts from him time and time again and it's a sure thing that if you prod him he'll react
-
Oh and your argument about the offside goal was that 80% would have given it so really it's ok and the right decision, even though it was the wrong decision and you just pulled the 80% figure out of your arse without any idea what percentage would have actually given it as a goal. Fuck me you're one boring and poorly informed twat

How was I crying about refereeing decisions? I've said twice now that our own defending was just as much to blame for not taking the 3 points as the officials. You never read anything I post or maybe you do but just don't understand fully how to read and that's why you only manage to take little bits from posts and then argue back without addressing the rest of what's been said. I guess it's the little short words you can understand so I apologise am sorry if I write words too long for you to read. Maybe Cilla Black did lots of raping who knows, she always looked to type to me, but if her pervy hands didn't touch you in an inappropriate way then someone must have... it's the only explanation
-
You conveniently haven't come up with a defence for the offside goal... your posts are always just using one small part of the truth and ignoring the bits that don't back up your argument. Had Fellaini's 'offside' goal counted would you have been 'robbed'... would you fuck. You'd also have lost the game. I also stated earlier that our shite defending robbed us as much as the officials but you didn't bother to read that part, but as always I've balanced my argument with more than just the blinkered neanderthal intellegance that you always spout in threads like this. I always show you up when we get in a debate, don't really know why you bother, but then again your arguments always seem to just cut and paste from previous ones where you rant about how much you hate Scousers. I can only assume that Cilla Black sexually assaulted you as a child and as it's the only sexual experience you've ever had you're not only angry towards anything scouse, but also a bitter and sad indiviual. But yeah you was robbed cause it was never a free kick anyways init

Depends which Neville Southall you're referring to. In his pomp he was probably the best keeper in the world... towards then end? Well still decent but not the same player (actually twice the player but in the wrong way lol!) Between Nev and big Nige we had some shocking keepers and that was over a several year span, so for me Howard is a class keeper when compared to some of the dross we've had between the sticks over the years
-
Fuck me this is even bad for one of your posts! You were robbed just as much as us? We had 2 perfectly good goals chalked off! You can't get any more robbed than that. Regardless of whether you think you deserved a draw or not, had the officials got the decisions right we'd have burried you long before your equalising goals. McFail the most blinkered poster I've ever come across on a forum!

I hate it when people slate Howard tbh... every keeper makes mistakes every now and then and tbh Howard is no exception, however he's a top class keeper and I really think we'd be hard pushed to get anyone better. I wouldn't say he was at fault for both goals either, but thought he probably should have saved the 1st and I think the 2nd he could have done better but he thought Ba was going to get more of a connection on it and when he didn't it fooled him and was already too late to react. It certainly wasn't his finest game judging by those goals, but he saves us more often than he lets us down IMO. I think we were spoilt by Nigel Martin who rarely made mistakes and was as solid as they come, but thinking back to the likes we had before that I am glad we have Howard. We also don't have much money to spend every year and there are other areas that need strengthening long before the GK position... so no I don't agree with them at all. Howard is a class keeper who once or twice a season lets us down, the rest of the time he's quality.

Only just seen this... apologies as would have filled it in otherwise

Yeah I live and work up here... I didn't go to the match tho and as I don't have sky had to listen to the whole thing on Radio 5 live. So I'm going to stay out of any match debates other than to say I saw all 3 disallowed goals on sky sports news this morning and it's safe to say the officials got one right and 2 wrong. We should have won but then again we should have had a bit more about us after Anichebe's goal and not conceeded straight after so the team is just as culpable as the officials IMO. Anyone who watched it get a good look at Mirelles? From what I heard on the radio he had a storming 1st half?

If only someone had posted something about that in this very thread!

Haha ahh the good old McFaul I hate Everton posts, and even if I try and word it slightly like I'm being almost nice really I'm still being a cock end. You sir are the Jagielka of this board
-
From an Everton point of view I always hate it when we play you, don't know why as we have an ok record against you but I always fear the worst from the fixture. Anyway looking at the match I see you have a few key injuries and so you'd expect at home and under the floodlights we should win the match... afterall we beat Man U at home under the lights so you'd think we'd be too strong for you under the same circumstances. A lot depends on whether Gibson is fit though, and despite every Evertonian being outraged when we signed the bag of shite he's actually a class act and has nitted our midfield together in an almost Scholes like way... He's actually ended up being one of our most important players, and if he's fit I honestly think we'll run out comfortable winners 3-1 If he's not fit though it mean Neville in midfield and we'll huff and puff, create nothing, play shite football and probably be grateful for a 0-0 or 1-1 draw. Edit - Gibson is definately out so looks like we'll huff and puff to a draw

Need to make some changes to my website and don't really know a great deal about Joomla. Would be good to get a quote from someone who can do the changes for me, but please only reply to this is you are an expert in web design as I'm not interested in anyone who just dabbles in it.

Is it only open to British bands? Just I can't understand why Shearwater's album isn't in there as it's an absolute gem

What about temp agencies so she can get a bit more experience? I know jobs are rock hard for people to get these days and the more experience or qualifications the better. 6 months experience isn't much and maybe getting another few under her belt would help, or even lead to a permanent job with the place she temps at. You might have already tried this so apologies if so.

I had that... made a right bloody racket if I remember correctly!

Recommend me a good restaurant in Newcastle

Fancied trying this place a few times but always ended up plumping for somewhere else. Love a bit of Morrocan food but as I'm off to Marrakech in 5 weeks I'll have to give it a miss as doubt anything wil compare to the food over there.
