  1. Thanks mate, it's good to know what exactly it feels like / size etc... I've just had a check and everything seems fine but I'll keep looking out for anything that feels like that. Glad to hear your on the mend and good luck with the rest of your recovery, my family and my wifes dad have all been through the ringer with the big C so can understand how it impacts on people, ok not 1st hand but treatment etc and the worry of it not working + side effects etc, so am glad to see you pulling through well. Haven't read your blog yet but will do
  2. I have a feel of mine quite a lot mainly for pleasure / because I'm bored but tbh have no idea exactly what to look for other than a lump. Is there a certain bit that you need to check more than others... i.e. is it usually on the main bit of the nut rather than where the tubes join etc, or could you get it anywhere on the little fellas?
  3. Has to be Mouse Hunt for me... not sure why but I just fuckin love that film
  4. You know the rules man... pics or your post will be removed and you'll be banned for a month
  5. 2 weeks before xmas at the very earliest or you should be to quote Chris Ramsey on Soccer AM 'Bummed by a horse"
  6. My suit cost £36 from some shop in the metro centre I think is / was called 'suit's you'. I don't go to work in it though as it's saved for going to weddings and big things like that... I'm classy like that

    Hebburn

I think it's pretty good tbh... I reckon some of the humour will be lost on some people up here as it's very much using stereotyping as a means for cheap laughs against North Easterners... however not being a Geordie or Mackem I think it's pretty spot on despite being obviously going to the extreme end of the spectrum with regards the way some people around here behave and act. Can imagine people from hebburn find it quite insulting and also many others around the region thinking it's shit, but for those of us not native to the region and know people who live over Shields way then it's fuckin hilarious as quite a lot rings true (albeit over exagerated).
  8. haha cheers for the advice mate
  9. what specifically am I looking for with them mate? I know what they look like but no idea what specifically to look for with regards the issue?
  10. Got to say I was a little disappointed with the lack of certain important questions in the test as at no point did it ask me what racist term I should use to describe a black player on the field of play.
  11. http://www.ultralase.com/vites/referee-theory-test I got a mear 5 out of 12... however I'm sure that's more than adequate to officiate in the premier league
  12. Overflow pipe outside is constantly dripping... also want a quote for a new toilet installing and there's some water marks appeared on the ceiling above the bathroom so not sure if there's a leak somewhere
  13. Haha no I would have put the word plumber in inverted comma's if so. Although a plumber who also deals would be a bonus
  14. Anyone know a decent and trustworthy plumber they could recommend? Got a few issues that need looking at asap and our usual guy seems to have disappeared off the radar so not sure if he's maybe gone bust.
  15. I once knew a lass who was scared of Pigeons... had never heard of such a phobia and thought she was making it up. I found out she was telling the truth by pushing her in to a big swarm of them in the middle of the street one day. Imagine how my fits of laughter turned sour when the swarm eventually flew away (after frantically beating their wings around her for about 30 seconds) to reveal her standing there hands wrapped around her head shaking violently and crying uncontrollably... not really one of my finest moments. Tried it on with her not long after that and she knocked me back... not sure why tbh
  16. She's not the type to accept payment for doing stuff like that but I think we gave her a couple of bottles of wine and some flowers to say thanks. She's done other little favours for us over the last few years too and we always give her a bottle of wine to say thanks... she's a bit of a piss head on the weekends so she's always very happy with alcohol as payment lol
  17. This is very true... wife and I have a combined income of about £50k a year... next door neighbour has about £10k. However she's probably the happiest person I've ever met... rough as fuck but proper sound. Our washing machine packed in once and she washed our clothes for a few weeks, every time we picked them up she'd tell us to bring another load round, all were tumble dried where appropriate and folded neatly. Lovely neighbour to have.
  18. Yeah definitely... children need to learn to stand on their own to feet at a young age else it leaves them unable to cope with life later in life. I've known a few people like this tbh
  19. As I already stated though I believe there's a big difference between being depressed due to circumstances and chemical inbalances... the later is an impossible state of affairs to change just by taking control of your life.
  20. It's not so much a rocket up the arse they need but support and teaching on how to cope with life when it doesn't work out how they wanted / expected it to. The lass at my work is on a waiting list for councelling... this shouldn't be the case and it should be much more readily available. Some people need help and support to find their feet and work out how to attain the things in life that they want, and more importantly how to cope with not having what they think is important (usually material things). The main thing is that everyone is in control of their own lives, but some people sit and bemoan their existance instead of taking control and improving things... support and councelling is an important factor in achieving this.
