Do you think that NUSC are representative of your views as a supporter?
Jimbo replied to peasepud's topic in Newcastle Forum
I'd like to see an end to the recent press statements they have been releasing, to me they sound like the personal opinion of an individual rather than speaking on behalf of a collective, for my own opinion there should have been a single statement on the views of the fans regarding Ashley, and no more until significant developments take place, rather than rant-like statements that devalue lose crediblity. I'd like to see a either a poll, ballot or survey undertaken to gauge opinion of the "members/fans" as to they way forward in terms of protest or actions against and as to the operations of the NUSC, of course you will never please everyone but it does need to be seen to be taking the views of the fans rather than voicing their own personal opinions. Also I suggest it needs a suitable spokesperson if the need for tv interviews arises, rather than the usual Steve Wraith/John McCririck/Jimmy Nail/Sting/rent-a-mob. -

I voted no, because I haven't seen any evidence of NUSC canvasing for opinion on matters regarding the current predicament, and seeking the thoughts of the majority as to the way forward, although they pitch themselves as the voice of the fans, the only voice they seem to be representing at the moment is their own, I hoped the NUSC would offer a credible, measured and mature representation for the fans, so far it seems like a slightly better organised version of the SSN rent-a-mob. I would have seen red if I'd paid £10 donation and then seen the NUSC banners at the ground, we need representation not a bed-sheet banner campaign. -
TRANSFER GOSSIP Mark Hughes will spend up to £100m in January, with Gianluigi Buffon, Kaka and Fernando Torres all on Manchester City's shopping list. (Various) Reading's Kevin Doyle will sign for Aston Villa in January. The price tag - a mere £7m. (Various) Joe Kinnear will keep his job as Newcastle's interim manager until the end of the season. Glad to see you share our concerns, most would welcome a supporters group that gave a measured and dignified voice to the fans rather than the somewhat manic militant ramblings we are seeing so far. What if Ashley is still here next summer? You think a Supporters group will have any effect on speeding up his departure ? If a few mongs with some banners can make him try and sell.... The supporters group over the long term will be a very decent thing. I'm aghast people are judging something so much in its infancy. I think it's job-done in terms of getting Ashley to sell up, it's now just a matter of proceedure before he's gone, I agree a supporters group is a decent thing too, however, in my humble opinion is thus far shooting itself in the foot and is fast losing crediblity. I hope it is salvageable.

Cheapest price so far for FM2009 http://www.sendit.com/sendit/9996931.product

I do, not in the fact it will bring a buyer in any faster but in that more pressure will mean he wants out quicker which in turn will lead to a reduction in price and more chance of a sale. The SC though will only effect that if it does what it should do, acts on behalf of its members, something I dont feel we have done upto now (based on feedback Im seeing here and elsewhere). Regroup, admit our failings and move forwards is the way as far as Im concerned. That I will agree with, we need a voice of the true feelings of the fans rather than a ring-leader for protest.

THE dad of a Rangers fan savaged by a police dog during the UEFA Cup final riots told last night how he found his son dead on his birthday. Grieving Alex Aitkenhead, 70, discovered tragic Alexander’s body in bed when he took him a card to mark his 39th. Alex said the convicted murderer was killed by a suspected aneurysm. Police said there were no suspicious circumstances to his death at home in Shettleston, Glasgow — hours after he watched Gers’ 1-0 defeat by St Mirren in the pub. Widower Alex said: “I got a bit of a shock — no child should go before their parent. “He was very quiet when he came back home as he did not want to disturb me. “He was not awake the next morning — at noon I decided to go and wake him. “I wanted to give him his birthday card but he was already dead.” He told how Alexander collapsed last week as he was preparing for a charity run in aid of Yorkhill Hospital — and was due to have a CAT scan. Alex said: “He was in training but collapsed last Sunday. “He was due to go for a brain scan next Wednesday.” Alexander shot to notoriety during violent scenes which marred May’s UEFA Cup final between Rangers and Zenit St Petersburg. He was pictured squaring up to cops before their dog sank its teeth into his leg. We revealed how he was caged in 1987 for murdering his brother-in-law in a row over his sister. But Alex said: “He was sorting himself out.”

is it football manager style or pro evo master league style? Pro-evo I guess, you can just pick any player to play in your team, and offload your stiffs where ever you like too, I dumped Smith, Shola and Viduka off to Ipswich and Norwich.
