What do you think of your season so far? - a living nightmare What are your expectations for the rest of the season? - to survive at any cost Was Kevin Keegan everyone's choice to replace Big Sam, if not who would you have preferred? - No, would rather seen us go for Hughes, Van Gaal or Trappatoni. Who has been your best player/s so far - Beye, Faye, Owen. and your worst? - Alan Smith, Stephen Carr, Viduka, Given. Any young up and coming players that have impressed you? - Carroll, Lua Lua, Forster. What sort of line up do you expect that'll play against us? Harper, Beye, Taylor, Faye, Enrique, Duff, Butt, Emre, Milner, Smith, Owen. Which Liverpool player/s do you think will have to be watched in our forthcoming game? any capable of breathing. Any of your players who you think we'll have to watch out for? - Owen, Duff, Milner. What are your memories, if any, of our previous meetings at Anfield? - Getting humped. Where do you expect both teams will finish in the league come the end of the season? - Liverpool = 5th, Newcastle = 14th. and finally, do you care to predict the score? - 3- 1 Liverpool

No, the currrent situation is the product of the Souness/Roeder/Allardyce regimes, the only thing Keegan is guilty of is being the one left holding on when the music stopped. Keegan shouldn't be sacked, but I do fear he might walk if the worst happend.

I really enjoyed that too.

I take your point, but is it fitness or character ? for me I think as soon as we conceed the heads go down.
-
Not sure if I'd bracket the Blackburn game in there, late goal on the break against the run of play maybe, but late collapse ?? surely not.

I thought it was a bit of a slow-burner over the first few episodes but I'm glad I stuck with it. Wasn't disapointed with series 2 either.

Newcastle United striker Alan Smith has urged his team-mates to start showing their mettle after Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Blackburn. The Magpies are without a win in seven games and now sit just three points clear of the relegation zone. Smith told BBC Radio Newcastle: "It is a time where we have to stand up and be counted, go out in front of 52,000 people and prove our worth. "We've got to show to everyone that we want to fight for the cause." The 27-year-old has already experienced relegation during his career, with Leeds United in 2004, and is aware of how quickly Newcastle could be sucked in if results do not improve. He said: "It's getting tight but you always knew it would do. We looked at our home games as ones that were winnable, and one was against Blackburn. "We've deserved criticism on occasions this season and we're all big enough to accept that. "It's up to us as a team, as players, and as people to sort that out."

People that say "Pacific" when they really mean "Specific".

Any man found using one of those flippy open pouch style wallets.

Here's a few that I believe should deserve instant termination: Anyone caught wearing a bluetooth headest outside of a car Anyone found wearing a brick sized mobile phone on their belt in a black leather case Anyone that takes more than 30 seconds to use a cash point.

to be fair, Gol's probably fucked him

More concerned about his wallet than the club's future, get rid.

Newcastle chairman Chris Mort has insisted that the board are 100% behind manager Kevin Keegan. Newcastle are just three points off the bottom three and Mort said that there is no danger that Keegan will turn his back on the club a second time. "The board is 100% behind Kevin, and there is no doubt or worry that he will walk away," Mort told BBC Radio Five Live's Sportsweek. "He's come into a club that wasn't playing well and was playing poorly and the results reflected that and it was always going to be difficult to turns things around. "Clearly he wants to turn the results around and that is what he has come back to do, but it will take time." Keegan is in his second spell at the club having left St James' Park in 1997. He replaced Sam Allardyce in January but has struggled to get his tenure at Newcastle off to a decent start. But Mort says that despite their woeful results Keegan is happy to be back at St James' Park. "He is enjoying being back at Newcastle and the city is enjoying having him back," said Mort. "I'm sure when things turn around on the pitch he'll thoroughly enjoy being back at Newcastle." Mort also quashed suggestions that Keegan had been unhappy with the appointment of assistant manager Chris Hughton. Hughton was appointed assistant boss last week and Mort confirmed that it was solely Keegan's decision. "Kevin came to me and asked if we could appoint Chris," said Mort. "He made the first call to Chris and had full knowledge of it. It was Kevin's lead, Kevin's suggestion and he was keen for it to happen." With Newcastle struggling on the pitch, it had also been rumoured that owner Mike Ashley was ready to walk away and sell the club. But Mort says that Ashley is perfectly happy at St James' Park and isn't thinking of selling up. "Mike has never tried to sell the club," said Mort. "People have called us and asked us if we were interested in selling the club and the answer is always no. "Mike is the owner of the club and he is very happy to be the owner and is not encouraging me to sell the club he still enjoys his Saturday football, obviously he'd enjoy it more if the results were better. "He gets on with Kevin very well and still enjoys being at Newcastle."

Steven Taylor fears for his Newcastle United future after warning he will not be 'mucked about' regarding a new contract. The England Under 21 international is keen to stay at St James' Park and extend his current deal beyond 2009. But he admits he may have to consider his options at the end of the season, if discussions have not been initiated by the club. The defender does not blame manager Kevin Keegan for the situation, instead suggesting the board do not rate him as a player. Concerned "I have heard nothing at all about a new contract," Taylor told the Sunday Mirror. "It is up to the chairman to offer me one, but the longer it goes without any feedback the more concerned I'm becoming. "I've lived all my life on Tyneside, come up through the youth system and have a great relationship with the Newcastle fans. There is no other club I want to play for. "Kevin Keegan has been fantastic to me since he came in. I love playing for him, but I know he has had a lot of other things on his mind since he came back. I understand that. "But I don't think this is down to him. It has to be sorted out by the people upstairs. There has been a lack of contact. My dad has been mucked about. Meetings have been cancelled. Joke "I have been mucked about in the past and have kept my mouth shut. For things to have dragged on this long is a joke. "I get on great with Kevin, but I think it is the people upstairs who don't rate me. I won't be mucked about. I just want this sorted out. "The longer I hear nothing from the club the more I fear they want to sell me. "If there is no offer on the table by the summer then I will have no choice but to look at my options."
