He's hardly a scapegoat. I'd rather say he has far too many bum boys who turn blind eyes on his mostly poor performances. Along side the contributions of Viduka, Smith and Owen, I struggle to see why Martins should have the distinction of being the striker that gets so much stick, I agree he's been shite lately, but he's been no worse than the others I mentioned but Martins always gets the vitriol.
