As a cruel twist of irony, the lad that runs the Alphabite cutter on my shift is a chronic dyslexic. What's the distribution of letters anyway, is it like a Scrabble set? Its just a die of letter shapes in two rows back to back of letters, not the whole alphabet as some letters double up, ie W and M and Z and N.

No official word has been given, but I work in the only factory that makes them and the line we use for Alphabites is being converted to a fish line.

Do that plenty thanks, but sometimes you just need a bit of cack food. It's good for the soul. Surprisingly little crap goes into making a waffle, a few basic spices and methocell which stops it soaking up oil when they are flash fried in the factory, other than that its all good wholesome spud.

That's the kind of over the top bollocks I was on about. I guarantee you're in the minority in the wider world of film lovers. It was gorund-breaking in terms of story and effects. In terms of story it wasn't. Who had done it before then? It put a messianic storyline into a Sci-fi setting. I'm not suggesting it copied anything exactly like another film, just that the storyline itself was rather typical of loads of films. The ideas for the setting were taken from other sci-fi writers too, I don't think they came up with anything that ground-breaking. The innovation was probably in using the ground-breaking special effects to realise the vision. Anyway, you like it mate, I not particularly arsed about it. I don't think it's shit or anything by any means but I didn't find it particularly thought-provoking either. Like what? I'm struggling to think of any. Life of Brian.

Anyone watching them for the first time now would wonder what all the fuss was about, but those of us that saw it for the first time back in the 70's saw it as a groundbreaking jaw dropping movie, and if you loved it back then you probably love it still, I know I do, but I'm a self confessed sad bastard when it comes to Star Wars.
