The Ivory Coast stopper, who is currently in Germany on World Cup duty, has reportedly told Bolton boss Sam Allardyce that he will sign for the his side after the Elephants' World Cup campaign. The 25-year-old has long been a target for both Bolton and Middlesbrough but it appears that The Trotters may have won the race to sign the powerful defender. Meite announced his intentions to quit l'OM last month after six seasons in France and Bolton were quickly linked with reviving their interest in the player. Allardyce requires a replacement for defender Bruno N'Gotty and Meite fits the bill perfectly having played in Europe as well as having plenty of experience on the international stage. Meite would join the growing African contingent at the Reebok stadium, with Radhi Jaidi, El Hadji Diouf and Abdoulaye Faye already cemented as first-teamers at the club.
