1. Bill Hicks, Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey; probably in that order.
2. Sorry Fish, but from my experience as soon as you start arguing with someone you're rationale goes completely out the window. Maybe you see things a bit clearer when you've had a breather? No one ever comes out of these situations looking good, but you've come out of it worse. You just come across as someone who can't admit when they're wrong and thinks he's above everyone. There's a few of us on this board, in fairness. *Dons tin hat*
3. Aye, but Joss Whedon isn't exactly a film producer; he's honed his skills on long plot-arcs and character development over the course of a series, not a two-hour film. The film would have been more in-depth if you'd had the back story which is in the series. 175807 I must say I think Buffy and Angel were very well done, not really my kind of thing but I've got to respect it. Serenity just seemed...shiny.
4. I haven't seen Firefly, but wasn' that what Serenity was based on? One of the most vaccuous movies I've ever seen!
5. I've got it on my computer, I don't usually bother with them but I reckon the extras on that DVD would be worth while.
6. Garth Marenghi's Darkplace hasn't had a mention yet.
7. The girlfriend just flicked on the TV, first time I've seen Alf Stewart in years, first words out of his mouth? "Stone the flamin' crows." The man is a legend!
8. Aye, very underrated as an actor, too. The critics who said they couldn't tell Andy Millman and David Brent apart want shooting. One of them has a goatee for a start...
9. I wonder how long it will take for a dislike of Seinfeld to be considered anti-semitic. Seriously!
10. Whatever series is being shown over here is one of the last ones, and I quite like it. I love Curb your Enthusiasm, and I keep getting pestered about Seinfeld, so I watch an episode now and then. I think the fact George's character is basically Larry David keeps me interested. Still think Jerry Seinfeld is the worst observational comedian in the world, and a cunt to boot, but it's growing on me.
11. Seinfeld's starting to grow on me.
12. Ah, right, this would be that thread...
13. Some of us have to make the extra effort tbh.
14. I really enjoyed Srubs up until the end of Series 2, I think, by the time they got to the wedding I was tired of it and it seemed more like a poor soap opera. Alex, Clueless is a classic, now that is a FACT!
15. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say a bad word about it. I loved it, long time since I saw it, would like to see it again. 175384 I tell a lie, Rob Blackwelder of SplicedWire.com was not impressed. http://splicedwire.com/95andbefore/glengarry.html
16. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say a bad word about it. I loved it, long time since I saw it, would like to see it again.
17. Dogville is a fantasic movie, and I thought I, Robot was quality for what it was. Why not get both? One a bit of a thinker and the other decent popcorn. If you dislike both you may want to kill me, though.
18. Family Guy will never be as funny as the South Park piss-take of it in seies 10(?), the Mohammed episodes.
19. You would deserve it tbf. What, no room for Joey? Or Blossom? Jesus Wept, I could have just highlighted to whole list!
20. 1. Kill them, kill them all. 2. Rape their dead mouths. 3. Come back here and tell us how it was.
