bobbyshinton replied to bobbyshinton's topic in Newcastle Forum
laugh at mine you bastard, you must -
The club feel it would be in appropriate to have a bar named after a current manager. They are re opening it for start of new season as afast food outlet to be called . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The Championchip

Ermmmm, I refer the honourable gentleman to a post Peasepud made some days/weeks ago. (can't be arsed to find it, tbh) Bugger

Was walking down the street yesterday and I saw a Newcastle United season ticket nailed to a tree. I couldn't believe my luck and thought "I'm having that" . . . . . . . . . . . . . . You never know when you will need a nail. Light entertainment, chill, loosen up

Thank you. At last a constructive comment. I think Brown would relish the chance to move in the circles Owen does. How much can Hull afford to pay him?

It was a spur of the moment thing, fresh off the press. Keeping my public up to date

To appoint Alan Shearer as boss and back the Geordie legend with transfer funds to help the Magpies fight their way out of the Premier League

you could be describing certain sects or religions who actually added bombing to the list. If I point the finger at them I get called racist so I will not.

It was still your IP address you retard So? this fella works at the same place as me, he probably has my old connection. You don't get it do you? All the posts you made on Toontastic between July 2008 and January 2009 used one specific IP address. That same IP address made ALL the Wikipedia updates that Alex refers to which occurred between September 2008 and December 2008. In short - your PC made the Wikipedia updates making you responsible Well I all I can do is give you my word it wasn't. You've handed my ip out to all and sundry on here so what do I have to lose? God even I'm finding this tedious. aye, being made to look a tit again and again would start to grate a bit after a while

I thought Tuncay and the other big forward for Boro looked good. -
If he would take a major wage cut it would be different surely. Even if he was on 60k (I'd want him on less) over 3 years that's about £9.4m. What do you think you'd get for that? That's transfer fee + wages btw, because that's what you'd have to pay. A player who we cannot play to his strengths so he will be frustrated and no threat again. regardless of wages. i would rather have Lovenkrands Well you're letting your hatred of the player cloud your judgement then because Lovenkrands is just as injury-prone and nowhere near as prolific. I do not hate Owen (I do not know him) recently, current form Lovenkrands has looked like a good buy. Take into account the lack of service and Owen is still not effective. He is slow, he is not creative. Yes he does have a god football brain. But he is not doing anything for us. If it was the Michael Owen of a year or two ago we would not be having this discussion. by the way if he scores on Saturday i would love him. Do you not think you are a little blinkered when it comes to the litttle lad? How am I blinkered? I've already said he's nowhere near the player he was etc. I'm only saying he'd be worth keeping on significantly lower wages because a worse replacement would cost more. You were making the argument on the basis of economics and I was countering that. I don't think he's a class player any more - he isn't. But he's low on confidence which has affected his form, that's all. The Owen of a year ago is the same physical specimen he is now imo, because he had the exact same attributes then. The team's even worse but that's no reason to discard one of the better players. Replacing players like him with players like Lovenkrands is a bit like replacing players like N'Zogbia (another one who struggled of late tbf) with players like Ryan Taylor - i.e. it's a one way ticket to the Championship next year (if not this). If he goes, he goes - and he won't have been good value at all. Letting him go might be even worse value though, I think it will. Nowt against Lovenkrands btw, he's been a good stop-gap but that's all he should be. good points mate still don't agree but I doubt you will lose sleep over that have fun

Luxury player we cannot afford wages wise or in our team. Just let him go and accept we did not get our money's worth for various reasons. 1 2 3 4 5

Are you honestly saying that you'd prefer to have won a solitary league cup, quite possibly playing boring as fuck football rather than have challenged for the title on numerous occasions, qualified for the champions league and played some of the most exciting football and best players the Premiership ever saw? I certainly wouldn't. It's so sad but yes. I'm desperate to see us lift a cup at wembley. I was 16 when we went to the 74 final. I have not seen us win fuck all. Not a super fan thing but you younger lot have not suffered anyway near the likes of myself and those of similar age. More so my age cos I just missed out on the fairs cup. As the big reaper day gets nearer yes is the answer to your question.
