If I hadn't looked at the pic closely, I would have sworn Wise was standing 10 yards behind them all !!!! I'm all for this Gang of Three, btw, but we (NUFC) must set up a decent network to spot the local talent as well, and make sure NUFC are the foremost attraction for the local lads to go to.

This coming from a guy who supports a club where the chairman is in love with the manager despite him being shit and is just trying to turn sunderland into Man utd's reserve side. Also I fail to see how our set-up is a farce it seems a pretty good idea to have the manager concentrating on the first team while someone else ensures our youth set-up is working and bringing in new yougsters I'm guessing he simply doesn't know what he's talking about and doesn't know Wise's actual role so he should butt out the thick inbred. If this 'sunderland fan' really thinks our set-up is a farce, then he should be happy as a sand boy as we must surely be destroying ourselves.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn. The press hope that everything fails at NUFC. We, obviously, hope everything works - and works well. The truth is that no-one knows how it will all pan out, but the press are spewing out page after page of Eastenders-type drivel to try to convince one and all that they know what they are talking about. Time will tell, but I will fuckin' LOVE IT if the press are wrong. And if we do start climbing the league and future stars are unearthed by the Gang of Three, I hope everyone at NUFC has a long memory of what has been, and what will be in the meantime, written.

What did you make of the Giles Barnes offer? The thing I would like to know is why other clubs weren't prepared to pay what Derby wanted for him? Especially Sunlun who don't seem to mind paying over the odds for lesser players (that's assuming Barnes is as good as some are leading us to believe).
