  1. Maybe they're scared of Sunlun overtaking us?????
  2. I'm confused. Who on here ever argued the point that we weren't run by 'wankers' i.e. Long John Westwood/McKeag/Forbes for a long time??
  3. I see on teletext that the new owners of Liverpool have suspended all activities regarding the building of their new stadium on Stanley Park - something to do with having a look at possible increase of capacity. I bet it's in response to this business of a new call for terracing, as they (l'pool) don't want to fork out a fortune for all seating and then have new legislation allowing terracing.
  4. I bet you're one of these David Suchet fans. I remember seeing Peter Ustinov in 'Death on the Nile' at Jesmond Picture House. Aye, one of these pre-1992 Poirot fans who's stuck by the great Belguim through thick and thin are you? We don't want to hear it man. I want to hear someone nominate a better Poirot, though. C'mon fuckwits. Hmmmm, thought not!
  5. Tough titty though, cos he's deed.
  6. If there was a tthof (Toontastic Hall of Fame ) I would probably nominate G.Hunt to be admitted. Not only for that famous 'coffee bean shake' but for having a surname that we should use so as not to annoy Cath.
  7. FIVE FUCKIN' QUID????!!!!!!! (111) No wonder they all buy them from 'friends' who have recently been 'abroad'!
  8. How much is a packet of tabs in the shops these days? I lost track when it was around £3.50.
  9. ...today. 16 years and 5 months since me last taaab Started smoking at an early age, started inhaling at 12. Apart from marrying Mrs hips, it's probably the only thing I've done that I'm really proud of. Give it up, folks.
  10. Sorry for digressing, but what I want to know is: Is Stevieintoon Leazes' son??
  11. Obviously not. We'll just bore the pants off them with our photos though wont we, me old mucker We sho will, Marv, we sho will!
  12. Since I was a small boy, I looked at the old footage of the first game at the old Wembley (Empire Stadium) and wished I could have been there. Then the tickets went on sale for the Under21 game at the new Wembley and I couldn't resist the temptation - I just had to try and get tickets. Everyone knows about the system crashing etc, but did anyone try/have any luck?
  13. Should've made it a caption competition imo. *goes to try and think of something remotely funny* This may take him a while. I was thinking the same. After people on here laughing at Smeeagain's ancient joke about Tarzan (the original was checking for woodpeckers btw) and not finding my absolutely hilarious jokes funny I wonder if I am just wasting my time with you lot of in-breds
  14. Ahh, they're imported from the Far East now then? We're not supposed to mix politics with sport!
  15. Should've made it a caption competition imo. *goes to try and think of something remotely funny*
  16. If you did get a ticket, you could go and support Tottingham. Don't you know that Berbatov is the new Pele?? (well, if you listened to the wankfest on BBC *spits* last Sunday it would appear he is! )
  17. They're made of stainless steel. Naturally. imo the Blades fans are a bit of a product of the SKY age (sing clever, manufactured, ditties for the tv cameras)
  18. Someone tell this fuckin cockney wank they're the stand in, they asked us first and had to settle for third best, namely them wanks. Ajax Tournament = The Toon Aye, make sure they know. Just in case anyone remotely cares that they were not the first choice.
  19. No mention of Clackers (but 'Klakkaaz' - to use the vernacular - sounds much better imo) either. All those broken wrists/fingers etc Not to mention pairs of clackers hanging from telephone wires in the streets
  20. Inter broke the Serie A record for most consecutive wins this season IIRC (17) they're also unbeaten in the league so far, at this moment in time Inter are superior in nearly every position on the pitch than Milan. I wonder what Obafemi Martins' thoughts are right now.
  21. Whilst being against it in principle, I think it worked well. This voting the 'upper house' is a joke imo. Have they (NEW Labour politians) not noticed the complete apathy with the electorate?? The mind boggles at the turnout at such elections and the result of 'couldn't care less vote for anything' ballots! Whilst far from being good, the House of Lords did have a little respect imo. But, ultimately, the upper house can only 'knock-back' a Bill three times iirc, which makes their roll pretty insignificant really?
  22. Regarding the 30 pt difference between AC and Inter, is that not largely down to the points deduction following the scandal ?? George Weah was a sensational striker. I seem to recall another team having an agreement with PSG to buy him first. Liverpool got lucky when they got Shankly. They then followed up that with Paisley (whose knighthood is long overdue imo). The years of Liverpool sweeping all before them cemented their name in football supporters' and players' brains for evermore which makes them an attractive propositon for players/managers. If NUFC had got Shankly then maybe we would be in the posision they are in now as I don't really see them as being a much bigger club than NUFC at the time Shankly got the job.
