Bulgaria has ski slopes? I remember going there at about 5 year old, stayed in a caravan and my dad used to take me hunting for sausages. He'd go out sharp every morning, as dads do and hide sausages round the site. The fuckin' psychopath.

Rather than be too poor, I'd put it down to the following: The temperature is similar to our own We'd rather lie by a pool There's no San Miguel on the slopes No scantily clad women Need I go on?

I wouldn't have thought so. The lad at graft got his second hand from ebay. In all honesty, if push come to shove, I wouldn't get buried in one.

seconded That isn't my jacket. A lad at work had a similar one which I told him was 'fuckin' horrendous'. Just thought I'd gather the thoughts on this product.

Nearly a great shout. You're right though, Bomber was a Rovers fan. Moxy Liverpool, Barry liked quizzes, Wayne was a hammer and the boys supported Newcastle.

Lindisfarne - Meet me on the Corner. Lyrical genius.

Aye, D Wing at Freeman Heart hospital maybe.

Does not one of them think they're being petty or small-minded? No sense of self awareness whatsoever. And they're proud of this on RTG. They were at home that day. Why aren't they at the match? Sad wankers to a man.

Like I've said - CH is perfect for Ashleys regime. Cheap, new to management, at a massive club and knows he'll stand in line and do as he's told. He's been a true pro in all the time he's been at Newcastle, whilst everyone around him has shown themselves to be mere mercenaries looking for a quick buck out of NUFC. Steadying the rocking shop over the past two years - I'll be forever grateful to him for that. He's not a tactical genius by a long shot, but on the surface he's obviously a massive motivator and spirit builder. Something that's massively important with the standard of player we have.

Twas a great day indeed ...as im sure it was for the entire country (outside of the "geordie nation" of course) Competing against the countrys biggest under-achievers. Fuckin' embarrassment you's are. It's like me celebrating that I've got a bigger dick than my sister.

Just a correction.... "Chris (Hughton) is our manager, and he'll remain our manager, and we will renegotiate his contract at the end of the year." Apologies, for that. I was just writing what I could gather from the quick statement on the radio. I think no matter what happens with CH, we won't get blamed for driving him out for a change. Even the rags realise Ashley is a better scapegoat for them to sell papers than the fans of our club.
-
Must've been a left uppercut he dished out.

Any money he will get to spend in January will be a fraction of anything made through shippin' out some dead wood. But then who is of any value that is worth losing? The players surplus to requirements that we have are worth pennies. Best, Ryan Taylor, Steven Taylor (possibly cheap with him not having signed an extension and Ashley will definitely cash in if he thinks he'll go for free. I like Chris, seems genuine, honest and has no doubt built a strong spirit within the squad. He's the perfect manager for Ashleys regime though - cos he's new to the profession, at a massive club and doesn't seem like he'd give Ashley much grief. I don't know if MA is actually capable of selling the club - no doubt would fill any prospective buyers full of shit and they'd run a mile.

Media blackout as far as I was aware. I'm sure a statement was released in the summer about it. They're on a wing and a prayer with every ill thoughtout decision they make. Fuckin' cowboys.
-
I said it was the best news all week, tongue in cheek. I've no doubt it means nothing because it's all judged on results and so far they've been acceptable enough. I'm sure his win % since taking over full time will be up there. Granted, at a lower level for the majority of the time.
-
Just listening to 5live and the club have realised a statement saying "Chris is our manager, he will remain our manager, and we are re-negotiating his contract presently". Best bit of news I've heard all week. Seems the club aren't allowing the media to fabricate stories about us to fill the sheets. Or, is it the dreaded vote of confidence only for him to walk around new year?

CH has got to pick them up quickly in time for sunday. Thankfully only a handful will play on sunday. Still not convinced about Krul. Forster looks safer at Celtic tbf.
-
Not sure about putting Carroll and Jonas on when were 2 down like Hughton. Don't fancy them going into the derby on sunday frustrated after getting nowt tonight. Or worse, injured ...

Paul the psychic octopus has died? Big deal, he isn't the first thing to die in a tank in Germany.

Frankie Boyle short on material
Mac-Toon replied to toughguymick@hotmail.co.uk's topic in General Chat
A colleague of mine writes for him on "Mock the week". I can't say no names due to the legal terms of Boyles contract. He does his own jokes on stand up. That's why its only £10 to see him. The Royal philharmonic in town where he performend is not the Liverpool arena as well, the place is a shit hole. I'm just new on this board but mate, Frankie Boyle left Mock the Week over a year ago so your colleague must be sat in costa coffee living the dream all day. It's was more than a tenner to see him in Newcastle, I can tell you that much. Peddle. -
Where did the Toon finish the year you was born ?
Mac-Toon replied to Drifter's topic in Newcastle Forum
Same here. Don't know where we finished '77 but I think I'm right in saying we had three managers that (calendar) year. First season was '77/78, we went down and the Leazes roof came off. Happy days. 21st in Div 1 in '77 we were. Gordon Lee, Richard Dinis and Billy McGarry were the 3 in a year, I think befor Arthur Cox. -

'82 under the stewardship of Arthur Cox. I believe we finished 5th in the old 2nd division. Dizzy heights, eh! -
I actually meant best backheeled goal ever. Le Tiss against Blackburn that you've put up is an absolute worldy. You must admit - it's a canny effort though for a Glentoran player.
-
Everyone can be world class in little patches. Best goal ever by the way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wkv7Zd76oSc Bellamy, he's always been world class. (Spirit, Pace, Positioning, Expletives, Power, Finishing - He's got the lot, just a little tw*t who never got given credit for his skill with him being a Welsh journeyman)
