  1. He's here now. Bit surly tbh. And not in a sexy way. Confessions of a Gasman live from Gemmill's house.
  2. Day off. Although I'm fucking livid cos with my car snowed in and no metros on, I could have legitimately pulled a can't-possibly-get-in day today. Instead I've used my last holiday of the year. (excluding the time I've got off over xmas obv) Had to wait 45mins for the Metro but we were the first stop it was working so it was deed..although soon filled up. Despite the fact they said the Metro would be coming just delayed there was some fantastic bullshitting phonecalls to employers going on at the platform. 'There's going to be like no Metros ALL DAY they're saying..whole system is down and there are no buses anywhere..' Er..that's not what they've just said. Best one was some lass who was on the phone telling her bosses that there was no way she could get in while the Metro pulled into the station.. Holding her hand over the mouthpiece and frantically mouthing "Ssshhhh! Shut the fuck up!" to the bemused driver as he trundles past. I was at the bus stop this morning and a lass was on the phone to her employee with the words "I've been waiting HOURS for a bus and none are coming". She gets the same bus as me everyday and failed to step on it once it arrived ... walking back the way she came. You've got to love the brass neck of people.
  3. Canny bad getting the car started this morning mind, tbf.
  4. I was knocking them a bit on Twitter today as well. Going on about Plymouth etc? No disrespect to Plymouth but I couldnt really give a shite and am more interested in why NUST have become a parody of the club they were protesting against. There's a canny discussion on one of their facebook posts. According to the Trust website a Special members meeting must be arranged within 28 days if 20 members of 10% of the membership base request this. (Whichever is higher). So, that's about 150 people we'll need I'd believe.
  5. Did anyone notice a couple of posts made on their facebook page just after the WC 2018 results were released? There were 2 in a short space of time saying "Fuck Russia the Corrupt C*nts" or something along those lines. Not that I was shocked at the language, it was more shock at seeing an opinion coming from the trust.
  6. If two of the cttee have resigned, citing lack of communication as the main driver then what fucking chance have us mere mortals got in finding out what the plans are? The chair should realise how bad things are given the fact Bill posted his resignation on the forum - That speaks volumes to me.
  7. Best not smuggle a "5a deal" over to Qatar, lads.
  8. i'll be fucking dead by then. Absolutely gutted.
  9. Leeds, aswell. Solano bang off the bar .... Robinson nowhere near it. That was two seasons prior that mate, Robson's first full season. Marcelino had his best game for the toon iirc and Dacourt scored from an indirect free kick in the 6 yard box. I used to love beating Leeds Betting for this now, bookies seem to think it's wors England 4/6 Russia 11/5 Spain/Portugal 4/1 Howay! I refuse to believe this was 9 years ago, that's sick. I can literally see Robinson flying to his right in front of the Gallowgate in the snow, iirc. Fucking loved beating them lot. Phoooo not many mate, fuckin loved seeing their grim Yorkshire faces walking down Stowell Street, especially as I have a Leeds supporting bruv in law who HATES the toon, he says he doesn't but I've sat watching the toon live in his house in London when they've been playing on SKY, and when the oppo have scored his face is like the Mona Lisa, but it was mint about 6 weeks ago I was there, Leeds were 4-1 up and he went to the shop he came back and it was 4-6, I had to go to the toilet because I couldn't keep my laughter in. I think Acuna scored a mint header that game too. 9 years ago a naa! It scares me to think the second 1-2 against the mackems was TEN years ago. I wouldn't worry about the 1-2 against the soap dodgers being 10 years ago, it's easy to get confused, what with them gan' on about it all the time. Imagine Argentina - Brazil at Joker Park, man. :) They'd have to stop in a travel lodge overnight or the more likely Newcastle. They'd have to have a kick aboot on a new housing estate there noo mate Aye course they'd stay in the toon, half their team lives here, Brazil would probably stay somewhere like Slaley Hall but if North Korea were here it would be the one star Grainger Hotel on the West Road, or some Cullercoats BnB. I still refuse to call it the SOL. It'll be Joker Park forever. haha. North Korea would stop in The Park Hotel in Tynemouth or maybe in the bnb above the Central Bar on the Gateshead side of the Tyne Bridge.

  13. Where are you watching the coverage? Is it being televised? Might have to sack graft off sharp if it is.
  14. I remember us being linked to Lee Hendrie and Jon Harley back in 2001 (ish). Robert Earnshaw. Fucking hell, imagine.
  15. What get's me aswell with the forum being down is they still update their facebook page with meaningless shite about Plymouth Argyle and the like. Now, all due respect to Plymouth, I feel for them, but with the current situation with the Trust, I'd have thought they'd at least attempt some damage limitation with a statement about Bill and Neil's resignations, etc. I know if I was on the committee (heaven forbid) that'd be my main focus to communicate the message to the supporters. Maybe they've done a media blackout, ala Mike Ashley? That'd explain things !!!
  16. Surely they must see its imploding? If another group started no one would invest or trust it. For me the only way is to replace the current lot who are meant to be running it and start over trying to regain support. Much harder second time around if it wasnt hard enough. The single biggest thing that must be done is asking fans what they want. That'd be the obvious way to run a collective voice supporters trust, you'd think. I beg everyone to renew their membership as it's the only way to be able to have any kind of say when the AGM or members meeting eventually happens.
  17. I've made a post this morning on the facebook page. I'll speak to a few people I know this morning who haven't renewed and try and obtain their old membership numbers. If the figure you're given is 4 digits long I'd treat it with suspision to be honest, mate. You're bang on about the other "potential resignations" being the good ones from the board and that's the main problem. One bad taity spoils the bag.
  18. It's been down for 'maintenance' since Bill posted his resignation statement up there and a handful of people had replied agreeing with him that the trust had lost its way. Millenium bug, perhaps.
  19. I've been away from TT for the past couple of weeks (grafting) and have just read Bill's resignation letter. A damning endicement of the current commitee running NUST. I hope they're thoroughly embarrassed and disgusted in themselves for driving away the main driver of the initial NUSC. From arranging Irish Centre (Free of charge, I believe), walking the mike etc etc fucking etc, to now feeling his position is no longer tenable makes me fucking sick. Not meaning to sound in the slightest way smug (I'm gutted how things have *progressed*), but I predicted splits in opinion and the likelyhood of a true commitee member resigning. Shame it wasn't the chair tending his resignation. (I'm not even arsed that all my mates were/are laughing at me now for making the journey to Irish Club on them thursday nights - I'm more concerned that the NUSC has died on it's back eye). In terms of breakaway groups, I'd be interested - possibly join - But I don't know if I'll EVER buy into far flung ideas again which were sold to me by the NUST. Sack the Board! Boycoutt! We need a breakaway group! I'm writing on me ma's bedsheets! .. Actually, I'm just going to pipe down and accept whatever happens. At least I'll save my tenner. Oh no, I can't I already renewed. I'll quietly step back into line and do as I'm told. Does anyone know why I can't access the NUST message board? It's not let me 'Vent my Spllen' for a while now. Perhaps, that's a good thing though.
  20. That was absolutely tremendous. Front to Back we were excellent. Krul's making a massive case to be number 1. Harper can't come off his line and he can't kick a ball. I think Krul looks more alive and maybe shows more all round awareness than Harps. The back four were unbelievable again. Simpson looked comfortable, given he's just come back from injury and the doubters he has. Collo and Willo steady as ever and Jose was strong as usual. Bartons distribution is great to watch with them searching balls. I don't know what to say about Tiote, he's just always there. Gutierrez and Nolan played well but didn't have to be 10/10's today because of Tiote and Barton in next to them. The forward line is full of heart, passion and most importantly talent. Carroll just keeps getting better imo, and Shola's showing signs that Sir Bobby was right in giving him his contract. Maybe I'm over reacting but I'm happy as fuck with the lads in the last year and a half. When all the mercenaries fucked off to sit on benches elsewhere, the current crop fought for OUR club and have done is proud. Chris Hughton is the reason for this I think. You'll probably disagree but I can't remember feeling so proud of a Newcastle squad for the job they are doing. We're a tight knit club for the first time in many many years and it's paying dividends. Fuckin' loving this, like. Get in.
  21. His favourite line is 'Oh, yeah 'Beckhams' a great player and I like him and he'd be a great player at this club ..... but, he's someone else's so I don't like to talk about individuals'. Constantly tapping players up underhand. He always says this. However, were not allowed to give him grief as his wife got upset when his house was raided. A good manager no doubt. Just a helmet at the same time.
  22. It was news to me though, and I did ask him so let him off, Alex. An animal has been known to constantly drag me down, that's why I divorced her.
  23. Judges you. I think you're fuckin' hilarious though.
