Went with Barton. Hard choice between the 4 (plus Ricky), but I think the games he's been suspended showed just how much we need him to play well. Partly the influence of Nolan and his goals of course, but Barton's work rate seems infectious and there is no one else in the squad with his quality from midfield, as we have seen in the last few games so blatantly.

How deep is the snow up there now? Is it likely to get worse? Would quite like to get this game out of the way this weekend, although not expecting anything but a kicking (which is exactly what I thought when we played them in the league cup tbf). As has been said, really don't want this to be a game in hand.

Really hoping it holds off in the south east for a few weeks, got to get up to London for the next two weeks and then exams the week after, would just make it all so much worse if theres snow as well! Plus I would miss skiving off work

Currently stuck in revision hell for my next lot of ACA exams (prof. accountancy exams) in a couple of weeks. These ones are a right bastard, and to make it worse, I ordered Guitar Hero Metallica for myself for Christmas, and its just turned up. No one else is here at the moment so its highly tempting to just stick it on. Pain increased a lot! Plus have to be in college in London for the next two weeks for them (at least it means I'm not in the office at the moment), and theres a fucking tube strike on Monday and possible snow. God I hate Bob Crow. Anyone else suffering through similar stuff? End rant.
