I speak in terms of conditions. Yesterday Fratessi played on the right, and Barella on the left, yes. But they are different players. Barella is more consistent with the ball, much more combinative, he plays short and long. It wouldn't surprise me if he ended up playing in the '5' position in Italy. We could compare Barella with Bruno, for example. Instead Frattesi is different. He is a round trip player, much more physical, he recovers more balls, he reaches the area. He is another style of player. Of course they are complementary and that Frattesi could go to Inter and play on that right side, but it would not be the same style. It's like us... We wouldn't play the same game playing with Bruno as '5' as playing with Hayden. And both have played there on the team for years.

I think they are different and complementary players. In fact, yesterday they played together. I read this morning that Inzaghi has asked to sign players to continue in the project (he wants Lukaku and Milinkovic Savic), and the boss have told him that sales will be necessary to sign them. It would not be unreasonable to think that they really negotiate for Barella, although then the rate will be much higher than the 50M they said yesterday (which I don't care because we have money for punishment).

Since yesterday the Nico Barella rumor was discussed, I only have eyes for him.

Atlético de Madrid is for sale and sooner rather than later the (illegitimate) owners will sell the club. I don't know if it will be very close that day, but the club is on sale. Morata's release clause is €10M Carrasco's release clause is €18M Griezmann's release clause is €25M

No. To count as a homegrown player, you must have spent at least 3 years at the club between the ages of 15 and 21. Gillespie left Newcastle with 16. We'll have Anderson, Longstaff and Dummett on the list, I guess. And that will allow us to sign up 24 players.

I honestly don't think so. Keep in mind that the Spurs were from 2013 to 2019 earning 5 million a year for the Sponsor of the shirt. Between 2008 and 2019 they made the Big 6 in the League every year, finished runners-up once and played 4 years in the Champions League between 2013 and 2019. And by reaching the final, they reached this agreement that multiplied them by almost 10. And during all that time , were included in the 10 teams with the highest value and highest net worth in the world. It is the first year that we have been above them in 20 years, it is the first year that we are going to play in the Champions League in two decades and we have just appeared in the Top20 of teams with the greatest wealth. This does not change radically for having been above them this year. They have a solid foundation from 15-20 years ago. They still produce more than twice as much as we do at the marketing level in the world (which is the most important issue to assess here the fair price of a sponsor and that it is not considered an illegal injection of money). And they have supported it very well these years having the star of the English National Team and the best player in a market as important as the Asian one. I think that to reach that second level of winning a year from a Sponsor we should finish 3-4 years in a row in the Big 6, play an important role in the Champions League or Europa League in one of these seasons.

It puts us in a third level at a commercial level, which I don't think is bad at all considering our situation. According to the Deloitte report, this last year we have once again entered the Top20 among the teams with the greatest wealth, from where we had disappeared in 2015. And we are number 20 in the World. Because Sela is a PIF company, we could have illegal money injection problems if they suddenly gave us more money per season because it would not be in line with the level of the Newcastle brand globally today. Today, we have a first level of sponsors, which is close to 55-60 million a year, which is what Real Madrid (Fly Emirates), Barcelona (Spotify) and PSG receive. Then there is a second level that is close to 40-50 million, which is what Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Atlético de Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea and Bayern Munich receive. And Tottenham. Tottenham was very smart because they earned 5M a year and renewed with the same company to get 40M a year the same week they reached the Champions League final in 2019. We are in the third level with these 25 million, which is what Inter Milan and Milan also received. Below us... Aston Villa, Seville, Valencia, Napoli, Wolves, etc etc etc that receive less than 10 million a year.

25 millions per year will provide Sela. Not bad.

They have set a starting price and are waiting for an auction to reach almost those terms. And if they get that interest, they may sell it for expensive prices. We sold Sissoko (30) Wijnaldum (25) after being relegated almost 10 years ago when the economic power of the teams was not so high. Burnley sold Collins (21) and Cornet (18) last year after falling out. Ake was sold by Bournemouth for just over 40 million. And I remember in recent times movements that are quite high for players who come out of the Championship. Bellingham, Joao Pedro, Watkins, Buendía, Pickford, Ramsdale, Sessegnon, Godfrey... All at prices between 25 and 30 million. Even Maddison himself left Norwich for almost 25 million to join Leicester. There are teams like Aston Villa or Wolverhampton that seem willing to make money. Others like Everton who will have to rebuild so as not to experience the same relegation problem. West Ham could be forced to participate in this auction if Rice leaves. Even Tottenham could be an option. We'll see how Arsenal does if they don't get Caicedo. If Southampton and Leicester get two or three teams to fight for them from a fair starting price that could be around 25-30 million... Perhaps they are close to one of them raising the bet to 40 million and approach those 50-52 who say they ask.

I don't see any team outside of England with the financial capacity to sign Rice. Only to Bayern Munich. And I don't know if they need it (maybe they do, if Kimmich comes out). PSG in the same way. Real Madrid have just signed Bellingham, they have two youngsters like Tchouameni and Camavinga, as well as Valverde, for the future, and they still have MOdric and Kroos. It's not Barcelona's style, I think. And they have Kimmich, Zubimendi and Gundogan as options (if they can afford it). So, I think Rice's options are to go to Manchester City (surely, if Gundogan leaves, it can be an option and fight for a position with Kalvin Phillips). Manchester United (I don't think they want to sign him because they already have Casemiro as indisputable). Arsenal (Who seems to have Caicedo as a priority to replace Xhaka). Chelsea (who need a player like that, now that Ugarte has rejected them and has gone to PSG). Liverpool (They could try, to rebuild the midfield, but I think they are still going to trust Fabinho and the boy they have from the Academy, Bajcetic) Us.

Through DAZN and a colleague who works with them and with Atlético de Madrid, they have told me that they have been able to see a report from Newcastle scouts that they made in February about potential players who could be signed at the club. They are going to try to get me the entire report, but they have told me that the names of Santiago Mouriño (Young Defender of Uruguay) and Paul Schuurs (Central Defender of Torino and the Netherlands) appeared. Schuurs was the player who played as a central partner with Botman in the Netherlands Sub21. And Mouriño is almost closed by Atletico.

I don't know if I can post it this in this forum.... But you can write 'Aupa Athletic Video' on google. Some weeks ago, in the TV, a journalist asked Toquero (the bald man) about the memories this t shirt bring him (this was the 2012 jersey, when Athletic got to be Europa League finalist). Meanwhile... ex Real Madrid Guti with another memories... -

That Athletic Bilbao shirt brings back so many memories if you're Spanish... PS: Many years ago, the video of a girl wearing that shirt and raising it to the cry of 'Apua Athletic' was circulating on all mobile phones so that the whole world could see her attributes. -

I don't like Luke Edwards but I have to admit I would love to sign Kalvin Phillips.

In Spain it has been rumored for many months that the boy is going to play in the Premier League next year. In fact, the president of Celta himself said a few months ago that it was going to be impossible for them to retain him because there were already 4 Premier League teams that had told him they were willing to pay the money from his termination clause. From Spain it has always been said that the best positioned team to sign him is Newcastle. I have seen him play very little, because he has only been at the highest level for a year and I almost never watch the Spanish League, but I think he is one of the most exciting players that Spain has produced in a long time and I should pay €40M for him. it's something we could do and not feel like it's a waste of money. He can play as a pure midfielder, playmaker or pivot, which is where he has played most of the year and has finished with 11 goals. I don't think Barcelona are going to sign him. Real Madrid did want it, but I see it as complicated, because now they have to urgently restructure other more important positions.
