It was my mates 21st so it was a long time ago and I used to wear gas permeable contact lenses (a type of ridged plastic). So I put them in at the start of the night with no problem. When I got home at about 3am I was so pi**ed I just went to bed. Woke up with a blinding headache and assumed it was a hangover. Anyway I wobbled about and my eyes were killing me so when I went to the mirror to have a look to discover that I had gone to sleep with my lenses in and during the night they had embedded themselves into the corners of my eyes. Talk about freak out! I had to work them out of my eyes with contact solution, dextrous fingers and will power all while not been able to see a bloody thing I was doing. Took a week for me to be able to see again and a stern lecture from my optician I had wonderful contact lenses sizes rings where they had been and looked like I had been in a fight and lost. I did eventually switch to soft lenses and I ALWAYS remember to remove them before I go to bed no matter how pi**ed I am.

Come on fess up. One of my party tricks is walking into closed patio doors (they all have stickers on now but this doesn't seem to help). Bust my glasses the last time I did it and my pride. I bet a few of you have peed in the washing basket

When I was last in the States a couple of years ago I really go into Storage Wars. They now show it over here and a whole host of others of its ilk on The History Channel. I also like Air Crash Investigation, Black Box and Seconds from Disaster. Morbid I know but fascinating.

Major Crimes on Universal is okay. New Tricks is now very dull Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

I am very patriotic and love all the pomp and circumstance that comes with the Proms. Yes there was a lot of flag waving but there were people there from all over the world so lots of over flags and not just the Union one. They played a range of music both instrumental and lyrical and the night flew by despite the fact it was raining and cold.

Christmas Tree did you get your girdle then ? errrr griddle.
-
I have been to Graceland does that count?
-
Anyone been to any of the events? I want to Castle Howard on Saturday even though it was hossing down we still managed to have a great time. This is my third trip to the Proms in Yorkshire I would love to go to see it at the Albert Hall. Does that make me middle class???
-
I am high class me (and not in the hooker way either) Oh I don't like cous-cous
-
Upper middle class I reckon. I watched Live at the Apollo the other night and Reginald D Hunter was on claiming we don’t have large amounts of racism in this country as we are too busy marginalising ourselves by putting people in the classes. Just like that 2 Ronnie’s sketch. We even have some new ones lower working class and none working class
-
I started my employed life as working class and as my salary and level of reponsibility went up so I guess did my class rating.
-
I have worked hard to be middle class.
-
I just buy it ready crushed in a jar. The Lazy range fits me very well Proper homemade curry tonight (not by me)
-
Is that a visual clue in case we didn't know what a griddle was? I mean I thought it was the police officer of Top Cat

Independence Day where the rest of the world waited for the US to make a decision and strike. Seems there is a 2 & 3 in the making I guess the aliens come back.
-
Not sure why it ever got made, it needs to be confined to film death like The Postman, Waterworld, Ishar, Heat and many more
-
Give historical films a bad name and had to admit at the end it was the British that cracked the Enigma Machine.
