This time last year I was waiting on a Big Lottery grant for the business. As they said yes in September I am so much happier this July. I have always been a glass half full sort of girl anyway providing its filled with vodka.

I watched Olympus Has Fallen recently (reminded me of Die Hard) and while I enjoyed it it was as realistic as Bob the Builder becoming Mayor of London........Boris! They wouldn't let us near the Whitehouse with bottle of water not sure how you would be able to get to the gates with 30 machine guns, 2 refuse trucks and several bombs, but hey that's Hollywood. Watched Marley and Me last week and cried buckets even though I knew the dog died in the end.

Does three days at the RIAT in Fairford count? Had a great time anyway Hoping to get away in September but can't find a hotel/location I fancy.

I was walking do a less than stellar street in East ‘ULL when a dog stopped to defecate on the street. Now the dog was on a lead and the owner had his bag out to scoop the poop so all was good. However at the same time a mother and toddler were walking past and the girl said “That do is having a shit.” Now instead of the mother berating the child for using a naughty word and saying we don’t use that word in our house etc… she laughed and repeated what the little girl had said. I could have slapped her myself!

I think you mean Bransholme, no I don't work there but there are four bi council estates in 'ULL I work on one of them.

I think non-working class is more realistic.

I doubt it as this estate is 99% white working class and it will have been a local who took it.

We have built a community garden/allotment and put reed screen around the metal encing to make it look nice. No surprise really two thefts over two night and four strips of it are gone. It's 2 meters high and 4 meters wide and the first guy took 8 meters of it on his bike.

I have no children (by choice) but my friends who do have children have a max of two most only have one as they just can't afford to have anymore add to that potential uni fees and it tightens the belt even more. I work on a social housing estate which the number of teenage pregnancies in the local high school is currently 11 and none of them are even in their final year at school yet. I don't remember anyone being pregnant in my final year at school, so do we class children having children as the norn now? I think the UK teen pregnancy rate is five times that of the Netherlands. In Hull we had a 13 year old give birth to twins named one lad as the dad and it turned out to be another after DNA tests. Lack of education from parents is the main issue that needs to be delt with. By the time kids hit highschool the damage may well already be done. One that note I am off to weed the community garden!

I won't find out until tomorrow night so I guess I will take a stab at the box office on Wednesday should they see fit to answer is another question. I wil get stuck picking it up on Saturday when they eventually understand I can't just pop into town at any time and collect it.
