  1. sounds like he found a random one too. wonder if the lads he played with knew who he was
  2. Joey is blogging / photo-blogging his way around part of USA right now and posting it on Twitter. Quite an articulate fella too. Here's some highlights: @Joey7Barton Joseph Barton Play sports, stay in school, don't take drugs. RIver Phoenix RIP @Joey7Barton Joseph Barton On melrose av, vintage t-shirt and trainer shops......decent. If I find a "bring back the tash" t-shirt am growing that bitch back @Joey7Barton Joseph Barton Really missing playing football, I hate the off season. Its like the school holidays. Let's find a game in this city (LA), any suggets? Joey7Barton Joseph Barton I ll give use the mindset in the car........."Next girl" black keys has just been on!!! @Joey7Barton Joseph Barton Panic prevention is a massively underrated album. "So lonely was the ballard" is in my top 10 songs of all time, just putting that out there
  3. Who's going to any of these games? Orlando tickets are finally on sale
  4. Had a couple of trial at TT. YNWA/LFC forums jut bidded 30 million for my services (helping them spell and write full sentences)
  5. For an updating service (for all teams / sports), this website has all validated players: http://www.tweeting-athletes.com/
  6. they contacted me today and we're speaking on monday
  7. ...and thats the sad truth. our thinnest and probably weakest squad since the season we sold gazza, waddle and beardsley. still can thrash them 5-1
  8. We're blacking him up and going to claim he's the fourth Ameobi brother. is that like a new football version of the jackson 5? Only that there's only 4. And they're a bit shit
  9. Weekend games starting at ~8am EST (normally one on a saturday) are on ESPN2 The rest are shown between FSC and FSC+. FSC+ took over from Setanta, so Fox have basically the majority of Premier League games Championship games are shown on FSC/FSC+. Bundesliga is on GolTV with Serie A shown on FSC. Champions League is now shown by FSC too after they won rights of ESPN Also, if you have DirecTV you get all the CL games, which extremely good in the group phase. They have a multi-cast function which you can see up to 8 games at once and flick between them all. Great for those with ADD. Streams are probably now as good as foxsoccer.tv, but virtually all NUFC games are shown whether live or tape delay on weekends. Anyone have any questions, message me
  10. Perhaps, someone's already said this, but who's smuggling Joey B into the US?
  11. Isnt LeBron a "Man Utd fan"?
  12. Without going all LM on this subject, if I was joining a new club, I would passionately embrace them. If I signed for Birmingham City, I wouldn't go on twitter and say "fuck me he might be an ugly cunt but what a goal Tevez has just scored for City", and this is even more clear cut than that. It's common sense. Something Rossi said on twitter a while ago, he asked Simpson who the toon were. The cunt was here 5 month. These players come in a lot of them, and they're either not bothered about the history, don't get told anything or just don't give a fuck. Either way it pisses me off. See 20 years ago, there's nothing you could tell Mick Quinn about the toon, same as the majority of them, it was more than money, and they were on a fraction of what they get now. I agree. If I was the manager, I'd sit any new signing down and drum the importance of playing for the shirt into them and the history and importance of the club to the city and the fans. Definitely. Tonight leaves me to believe one thing. Ten years in the CCC would do the club at least some good, because it would get rid of clueless tools who claim to support us. Look at this ginger mug... @dannysimpson12 - They're being prats. Looking at the blokes profile, he doesn't seem to be a full shilling. #Muchadoaboutnothing Have a look at the kid hes called @coolcatcarter89 pmsl. He wouldn't have survived Hitler imo, the cheeky cunt. All this "United" discussion always boils my piss. Bad enough all the TV commentators and pundits referring to Man Ure as United all the f**king time, let alone one of our own players. No excuses for this in my book; learn the history of your employer, especially one filling your pockets as well as NUFC. FFS, in reality, Newcastle are the only true "United" in the Premier League as all others (Manchester, West Ham) just changed their name and werent the merger of 2 different clubs. As a professional football player you should at least know some basic history like that.
  13. rumours circulating NUFC will play either DC or Toronto on that weekend (and even possibility of 4th game)
  14. Not sure Joey will be coming - won't get US visa with past criminal record
  15. there's generally noone on the doors at the time of the games. only thing you might not be able to get served (but you'll get in alright)
  16. Was probably in nevadas that day. Was the drum in action that day? Miami - someone has to do it
  17. you should try heading to Legends. The Toon Army NYC crowd goes there now after some nonsense with the owners in Nevadas treating their staff like shite and firing good bartenders www.toonarmynyc.com Legends less plastic fans right now
  18. also official on nufc.co.ck hopefully over for more than one game. totally up for meetup NYC crew all up for it too
  19. Thought the plan was just to walk in and play it cool.... Nothing like a cold one at 10am. Have you ever done a Rocky up them stairs, jumping about at the top. Apart from Las Vegas it is the ONLY reason I'd ever want to visit America? First thing I did when I went to Philly (apart from Cheese Steak sandwich), was the Rocky stair run and jump. the b**tards had taken away the statue though
  20. Cheers. There's so many boring cunts on twitter. If they have nothing to say they should just saying nothing. This kid on my twitter No one cares, I think I'm gonna have a cull. The lasses who send 20 tweets in 5 mins about Corrie are the worst though. had a cull at weekend, after realising my timeline was filled with shite from over 1000 I was following. miss the good / interesting posts by have more than 500/600 I reckon
  21. I'm posted a similar thread over at newcastle-online to connect NUFC fans in the USA for 2 reasons: 1. For NUFC fans in USA/Canada to connect and meetup for games 2. For anyone coming to visit from the UK and want to catch with NUFC fans in USA/Canada In New York we started the Toon Army NYC years ago and have a good crowd and regular visitors. Website is www.toonarmynyc.com and we watch the games in Legends bar (not Nevada Smiths anymore) In Miami (where I am now), we've started a group and meet in Fados in Brickell (downtown). On twitter I'm @toonarmymia if anyone wants to get in touch If you're in the USA post your location etc in this thread or if you're planning to visit, we can probably hook you up with a group of Mags in most cities in the USA Also, these lads are putting together full up-to-date list of places to watch in USA: http://www.newcastleunited.us/2011/02/toon...ans-gather.html
  22. He did not say those exact words - that phrase is from Marca's summary of the interview - but he absolutely did say (or absolutely was quoted in Marca as saying), "I'm happy here at Newcastle but I'm not ruling anything out." Also, the translated interview you have on your website is a poor mechanical translation. The Sun certainly did take his statements out of context and even mistranslated one of them completely, but just going on what he told Marca, I think he wants to be away. Translated with a combination of online and own pigeon Spanish so not the greatest - agreed. however, cant blame the bloke for wanting more, especially if the club ambition is mid table longterm
  23. In case anyone's interested, Enrique didnt even say "I'm ok at Newcastle but I aspire to more". Complete lie or mistranslation. The original interview translated to English is here: (once read, the statement from club was actually spot on) Load of bollocks and out of context shite from The Sun and Mail.
