  5. 7th Jun 2011 Wigan star Charles N'Zogbia says he wants to join an ambitious club who will be challenging for honours. The Latics winger is currently with the French squad after he was handed a recall by Laurent Blanc, after a brilliant end to the Premier League season. Now N'Zogbia is gearing up for the summer which he is hoping will include a big move. The former Newcastle star has been strongly linked with a return to Tyneside, with North East rivals Sunderland and Liverpool are also thought to be very keen. But N'Zogbia has warned any suitors that he wants to make sure he joins a side challenging for silverware. "It is true that over the last two years at Wigan, our goal has been to stay in the Premier League and it is tough and it has been a bit detrimental to me," he told Sport France. "It is a bit of a disadvantage to me, but I always give my best for whichever team I am with. "I have one-year left on my contract, and after two-years I think the coach and the owner are satisfied with what I have produced. "Now they know that I want to sign with a bigger club, with bigger goals who can play in Europe and also help me with France. "I said to them that if I am still at Wigan then I would give them 200 per cent, as I am loyal to the club. "But they have opted for a transfer and I hope it will happen under good conditions and that everyone will be happy." N'Zogbia underlined that he wants to join a club with big ambition and admitted that he wanted to stay in Premier League, but he would consider moves to France, Spain or Italy too. "A big club for me is one that plays in Europe, and which has the goal of winning the title - that may be in England, France, Spain or Italy," he continued. "I left France at the age of 18, and I have been in the Premier League for six or seven years and I have evolved in the Premier League, I am familiar with that and I have learned the customs of that league and I feel good. "So it is the Premier League first for me, after that France, Spain or Italy - I have seen them on television and it would be a new challenge." so he wants to go to a team challenging for silverware. next plz

  10. my guess is they wont be selling their top top (bale, modric) players but more their second rate players ( pavlichenko). i dont see them becoming alot weaker. how are they financially? Stories already in the press tonight that Fergies after Modric. utd couldnt afford him. i dont believe the press when they say they will have 100m in the summer. they talk abt ronaldo money but where was that money last year? i think liverpool, chelsea, city will spend more then them.

  12. and how do you think you are going to get ba for free? didnt he sign a contract in jan?
  13. Well, according to CT, he's great and going to just as good a buy as Tiotte, because he hopes that will be the case. I think the lads credentials / stats / importance to Lille and their fans...... is there for everyone to see......if they want to. and how much will we sell him to Spurs for in 2 years time if he's half as good as you claim ? Spurs are finished man daft lad. They are on the way down with no CL money. They'll finish below us next season. yr a idiot or just very optimistic.
  14. cant stand utd so am delighted they got stuffed. its also great the that plays the best football won. is there any football supporters that dont like watching Barcelona?
  15. May 27, 2011 By ESPNsoccernet staff Lille attacker Gervinho has already decided where his future lies but will not make an announcement until next month. Gervinho has had an excellent campaign for the French side and his displays propelled Lille to their first Ligue 1 title since 1954. Major European clubs such as Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Fiorentina have all been linked with a move for the Ivory Coast international and he says he is looking forward to playing in the Champions League next year. "After the last match with Lille and a game with Ivory Coast, I will go on holiday. I have already made my choice. Either I will leave or not, everyone will know it later. It is a personal choice," Gervinho told L'Equipe. "The coach wants me to stay. The club will play in the Champions League and he wants to play it with me. I want to play it too, if I have such an opportunity." However, the 24-year-old claims that while he is keen to play in Europe's elite club competition, it may not necessarily be with Lille. He added: "I can play it [the Champions League] at Lille or somewhere else, that is no problem. We have had several talks and we know what we told ourselves. There are still a few days to talk before holidays."
  16. Exactly, lets see what team takes to the field come August. You two are total and utter spastics edit > i know i should elaborate but honestly why bother, i'm bored with the same rhetoric where dickheads just talk utter shite no matter what goes on around them. cheers mate for making me laugh, i have to say you have a way with words
  17. SUAREZ? but knowing Newcastle it will be paulson
  18. thats just crap, the papers talk a load of shit. they know as much as us. i would say he will leave for 7-11m
  19. 1/2 the boro team consisted of the BEST players from Scotland, and they were in relegation trouble most of the season. Some of the lowly teams would struggle in League 2 in my opinion. so would you say as a whole it would be championship team standard, but maybe a lower championship standard
  20. what kind of standard is the scotish league? its not PL but maybe Championship? surely better then league 1
  21. i think his been very unlucky not to score a few more
