  1. His kids will be plenty unkind to him once they realise what he's done to their future.
  2. The prospect of stability of some kind, I suppose. Chaos, but predictable chaos.
  3. Good on you for trying to make a difference at a personal level (and it will make a difference, even if, as you say, it doesn't fix anything). None of us can do much about the top-down stuff, but the least we can do is all try and be more decent within the sphere of what we can influence. We're a very well-off country. You wouldn't fucking know it, would you?
  4. Don't blame the thon for the thinth of the father.
  5. Let's be completely honest, you wouldn't be here if you didn't think your team was going to win the footer match tonight. Rah! Rah! Rah!
  6. Five words but still one typo. Never change.
  7. One of their former candidates, who represented the UK at Eurovision 1962 and 1963, stood in Highgate as an independent in 2015 as "The Eurovisionary Carroill" then promptly died during the election campaign. Still got 113 votes.
  8. CT, please please please predict a 20-30 Tory majority like the rest of us. It's the only way to make sure it doesn't happen.
  9. It's a shame it's not Cardiff North, because that would give us the opportunity to talk about the legendary 2005 result for Catherine Taylor-Dawson. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardiff_North_(UK_Parliament_constituency)#Elections_in_the_2000s
  10. I was going to say, from the locations mentioned in the article you're talking about https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardiff_Central_(UK_Parliament_constituency) and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardiff_South_and_Penarth_(UK_Parliament_constituency), so no bother in terms of who's going to win. Still shit though.
  11. Aye. First reply says "BIG queue for Sheffield Central at half 10. Come on Yorkshire, let's go red." The Labour MP got 70% of the vote in Sheffield Central last time.
  12. If it's going to be bad, let it be bad right from the exit poll onwards, to be honest. I can't be doing with hope.
  13. Leaving room to play Schär through the middle. Sorted.
  14. I assume they'll be more after vote share movements, Brexit Party squeezes and the like. I remember even in 1997 they were looking at whether Labour would become even more dominant in the already safe Sunderland South, which was the first one to declare (their candidate added 10%, which is when we already knew it was going to be a fun night).
  15. It's the hope (of a still broadly unsatisfactory outcome) that kills you.
  16. Or three posts up, even. But aye, fair play. Speaking of canvassing, I know I'm in a safe Labour area but I've literally had one canvasser (Labour, so at least that) knock on my door in nearly 14 years of living in Lewisham, and that was for the council elections five years ago. Really makes you feel wanted.
  17. We were... literally just talking about that...
