  1. This issue will never, ever die. Whatever happens. We're stuck with it dividing the country forever.
  2. I'd love to think Beckett was playing a hell of a long game by nominating Corbyn for leader in the knowledge that he'd end up being useless and something like this would happen.
  3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/49810169
  4. The Lib Dem is a Spurs-supporting blank page called Bobby Dean, which makes voting for Porno Vicky immeasurably easier.
  5. Vicky Foxcroft. She's not especially high profile but maybe that's exactly why I find her quite credible.
  6. Even I'll probably vote Labour and that's saying something. Ultra-safe constituency so it makes no odds anyway, and the local MP is a hard worker so I don't mind endorsing her.
  7. I still like Carter. And PWEI's swerve to industrial rock/Prodigy collaborations in '94 was quite entertaining. EMF were always gash though.
  8. For values of "we" including "our ancestors" and specifically excluding "us"
  9. Nobody could POSSIBLY have predicted that ripping up the entire status quo on which our country is based would be SLIGHTLY PROBLEMATIC and TAKE SOME TIME TO RESOLVE
  10. So you didn't understand any of the underlying issues when you voted. Good of you to fess up.
  11. At this stage, all I can say is I fear you're wrong but I hope you're right.
  12. As loath as I am to cite anything involving Seth MacFarlane as anything other than awful, even a stopped cock and all that
  13. The horse has long since bolted from that particular stable though. If Labour had (had) anything about them, there wouldn't - couldn't - have been a Lib Dem revival in the first place. It's not that long since commentators were suggesting the Lib Dems fold and merge into Change UK and it felt like a fairly reasonable idea. The dithering over Europe from the two main parties is precisely what's enabled the Lib Dem and Brexit Party (re)emergences, and there's only so far the benefit of the doubt can stretch before it snaps.
  14. You keep acting like they have a broader strategy or a clue what they're doing.
  15. Someone - maybe her, maybe another "enemy of the people" - is going to get the Jo Cox treatment before long, and we'll all shrug it off and carry on as if everything's fine.
  16. He should stay neutral, it's better for the country that way.
  17. Maybe he's decided that not committing to any position is the best way to win an argument.
  18. The world where Thomas Cook isn't a bank.
  19. Same with music. Arena gigs are all shite, don't @ me.
