James May has ruled out Top Gear with him, hammond and another who isn't clarkson. And Andy WIlman has resigned from the BBC. Looking increasingly likely we're going to see Top Gear back in practically is BBC format elsewhere soon.

I quite like Mcclaren, wouldn't be unhappy with him at all. Might get Tiote back to some sort of worthwhile form...

Was that deliberately littered with double entendres?

So he'll just need a morning off training for a speed awareness course. Nice.

That bottom post still results in us staying up, or it did last time. That's all the squad needs for its objectives. What we want and what it needs are totally different things.

How is it not?

Just saw this on reddit

That is the spending the squad needs.

Wants and needs are very different things though. What the squad needs as far as he is concerned is to be good enough to stay up. Which it has been since it became an Ashley squad rather than one with a lot of legacy from the previous board and since he decided to stop with the pally, standing in the away end in a newcastle shirt shit. what we want him to do bears no resemblance to what ashley feels it needs though.

There are occasional highlights, When we were looking genuinely threatened with relegation in January a couple of season ago deals were brought forward to get in Sissoko, Debuchy and Gouffran (when he was at least useful before our coaches got at him) and it provided enough to keep us up.

Oh aye Darlow, forgot about him. He's had a good season by the looks of things, 40 games, 1 assist

I think we need more quality in every position, for keeper it would be because Krul is totally unchallenged for his spot in the first team. None of Elliot, Alnwick or Woodman will be pressuring him anytime soon and we need players to fill out the squad and drive a higher level of performance. I think Krul was looking like, and can still be an excellent goalkeeper, who is suffering from the same malaise all the players are, a lack of competition meaning he doesn't have any real incentive to perform and poor coaching. Someone like Mattia Perin would be perfect, young, italian keeper and they could bond over both having terrible hair.

Aye nevermind the fact we've 4 senior defenders at the club, and one striker capable of scoring goals.

Spurs apparently set to get rid of Adebayor, Soldado, Vlad Chiriches, Younès Kaboul, Étienne Capoue, Paulinho, Mousa Dembélé and Aaron Lennon in summer. Anyone fancy any of these? Personally wouldn't mind Chiriches, hasn't had the best time at Spurs but I reckon might turn out to be a good defender if he could get a good run of games in one position under his belt and hes only 25. Same for Demebele, looked excellent when he was at Fulham then went to the Spurs midfielder graveyard. Honestly I'd take Capoue and Paulinho as well, they'd probably both be good enough to get into our midfield consistently.

he did didn't he

going off the IP location I'm thinking a Crystal Palace fan desperate to be relevant to anyone.

Can't remember where @@The Fish mentioned Glendenning but listening to football weekly now and Amy Lawrence absolutely destroyed him as soon as he started on the boycott. It was excellent! He seems to stay a lot quieter when James Richardson is on compared to his buddy Max Rushden. Presumably because he knows the likes of Richardson and Horncastle are much better informed and a lot smarter than he is when he starts sounding like a talksport presenter
