bring in a guy on loan, promote a kid or play Jose seems pretty simple. I have Heitenga, danny wilson (bought for 9.5, turning down bids of 25+ ) and Staylor. Heitenga got injured for 6 weeks so i exited the game without saving just voided any plaudits you gained for winning all that stuff tbh
  3. Breko, being targeted by Lazio according to the Beeb They say he lacks pace, which is worrying, but I didn't notice that last night I thought he looked pretty quick. He was up against Gerrard most of the time and he's not exactly lightning, but I agree, he wasn't what I'd call slow. pretty sure I heard both of their fullbacks pace (as an asset) being referred to in the match commentary too

2nd brightest in the year... lfw Ever started a game and then told it to go on holiday for something like 5 years? Leave it on over night or a weekend then come back to see how things are going? That shit makes thing interesting Never. Because you have to go through a few 1000 emails. just hold space man, besides your inbox is limited size, they'll delete themselves after a while

Been really struggling to enjoy a game at the moment so went back to FM2005 and started as us just before it all started to go horribly wrong signed Bonera, Evra, Mauro Esposito and Cristiano Zanetti with my 35mil transfer budget
  11. its called Arrogance (yes capitalised arrogance!) no problem with being optimistic but I don't think that this will be easy on the players or us as fans unlike some who seem to have already forgotten the group even happened
  12. no crying here, I'm not wrong am I? considering how often the french/italians/germans are called arrogant by certain posters ( ) the levels in here with regards to england tournament future are baffling, we scored 2 and conceded 1 in 3 games in what was "an easy group" and turned in 1 utterly disgraceful performance, one passable one and one decent one in those games I just don't see where the renewed "we're certain to win it " attitude has come from nor the writing off of teams who have had a much easier time of their groups than us
  13. not meaning to knock the good feeling towards the game but it seems everyone has forgotten the USA and Algeria performances because we had a good 70 mins against Slovenia we've got the individuals no doubt but its rare they put in the team performance unlike the germans who tend to do something at each international cup dont want to rain on the arrogance parade but a bit of realism wouldnt be misplaced, I've seen Brazil, Spain, Argentina all counted out for thinner reasons than the ones counting england in in some posts here, dont underestimate the size of the challenge that still lies before our guys in SA we've managed to do that with the group and we just barely got through that Well he's done it on the only opportunity he has had to do it really. He came off after picking up a booking in the first game and didn't play in the second. I know, he played superbly against slovenia no question but some are painting him as the new david beckham, lets not forget that his crossing when he played for us, he needs to keep it up, they all do

  15. I can still see that robot cunt Moller right now, same hair cut all his life, I bet he counts the number of pumps every time he shagged his wife, we all knew, we just knew that stone cold cunt was going to score, it's their don't give a fuck mentality. I bet the German press are no where near as emotive as ours, and clearly German people are no where near as emotional as we are, the one aspect in life we are better than them is our humanity. There is a distinct cold side to a lot of Germans, its the way they are brought up really. I've managed to humanise Mrs P over the years. Their biggest asset is their pitch intelligence they have a very calculating tendancy to spot where the opp are misfiring. Schweinstieger only 50-50 for Sun. The debate here is whether Cacau or Klose should start. Their biggest weakness is the left back spot and the relatively inexperienced midfield. We need some good things to happen early to settle the side down, a lucky bounce for Rooney or a run and a shot on target. What we don't need are rash challenges and early yellows cause that will put doubt in the collective mind. really hope he doesnt play, hes such a good player
  16. "sorry, videos are not currently available in your country"
  17. well that was excellent, great 2nd goal by italy didn't think whateverhescalled was offside when it wouldvemade it 2-2
  18. what do you care? you have no allegiance when it comes to international football anyway
  19. Because he isn't good enough to get in the Chelsea team, and isnt showing it in training? played in 26 games for chelsea last season despite being injured for a lot of the season, made a huge difference to their run in that ended with them winning the title and is one of the few players in the england squad who has regularly brought his club form to the international game
  20. Aye Milner doing Beckham's job and just swinging great crosses in. Makes a huge difference. Agreed he was class today. But then the passes as a whole were something else. Some of those long-balls were absolutely inch perfect. a ball by johnson that only got one mention, I reckon deserved more, sliced volley crossfield and forward to rooney, absolutely perfect pass
  21. so? they'd played well enough to top the group after 2 games and if you're taking population as a measure we should have no chance of winning the WC compared to the likes of Brazil of the USA and India and China didnt even qualify!
  22. full of praise for Milner and Defoe here both made a huge difference, once milner got his eye in he was playing some devastating crosses that deserved more goals and Defoe chased everything when they had the ball
