hahahahaha... I don't think Dani Filth can be classified an artist as opposed to a shrieking wanker with one of the worst cases of little man syndrome the world has seen.

By the way, how's things McDade? You should call me sometime woman!

While I agree with your other three (but you already knew that, right?) I gotta ask about this. I'm a Dream Theater fan, you know that, but La Brie seems a bit hit and miss to me. He pulls off the cheesy parts perfectly, and I do like Dream Theater's cheesy bits, but don't you think he can't do the angry so well? I think that's why I like what he did with Ayreon a few years ago so much. He was only needed for the cheesy and had blokes like Devin Townsend and Mikael Akerfeldt do the angry for him. Not to give you crap or anything, but I think I like La Brie better when he's poncing around as opposed to trying to be serious and stuff.

I've been using my iPod on Vista since Vista's release and haven't had any troubles at all. I'm not going to stop using it either based on this one article. I've been updating stuff for the last 90 minutes tonight in fact since reading this and well, nothing's gone wrong.

This is the easiest I ever find answering a question about a favourite. For me there is no better than Mike Patton. He can do it all, from rock to punk to crooning to ballads all the way to noises that I'm not really sure where they come from. Certainly the most versatile modern vocalist, if not one of the most versatile ever. In my opinion of course. My god, your taste in music has actually gotten worse, hasn't it?

Why didn't he score goals like that when he was playing for us? He ruined my evening tonight and I will never forgive him for it. I braved the cold Shepherd's Bush night to watch us play the Danes and maybe take the piss out of Mary a little but Tomasson scoring in like the first five seconds kinda spoiled the fun. On a brighter note, we must sign Brett Emerton as soon as the transfer window reopens. He captained his country tonight and was the only player for us that looked like he gave a shit. Scored a nice goal from a freekick just outside of the area too. You could tell Tim Cahill wasn't really match fit, I think I saw him whinge to Rob Styles twice for the whole game, it's just not up to his usual standards.

But tell me Li3nZ, what do you think of Oceania having automatic World Cup qualification? You'll always have a special place in my heart for starting the thread that would turn into my thread of Man Love. <3 Li3nZ

It is clear by this thread that the stereotype of the English not visiting dentists is accurate. For fuck's sake man, surely an abscess that is causing that much grief would get you in. Do your teeth look like this by chance?

There is an apathy towards everything in this country that still completely astounds me. It's not just kids and it doesn't just apply to teachers, it's everyone. I'm not saying this as an attack against the British public but everything is just far too difficult for anyone to even try it seems. I don't know what it is, is it a lack of pride in their jobs? Is it that they've given up and feel as though no matter what they do nothing changes? Or is it just a general laziness? The English public just don't seem to give a stuff. I could site examples of what it's like where I work but I don't want any of the high-falootin' nurses around here getting shitty at me.

Good to see you're still alive Mr Hog. From what Jae Lee said in his interview in Spotlight apparently there's going to be 30 or so issues in total with them being broken up into about four mini-series. They are going to be stories that were alluded to in the books but were never fully fleshed out, like Roland getting his guns as you say. If you want to get them on a standing order or anything just go into any friendly comic shop and tell them you want it put aside. You'll be able to do it any time, even though it is released this week. Hey, anything to get more people into comic shops. But how's everything with you? How are your guts? Mine have been surprisingly well behaved for the last 12 months or so, I've been pushing my luck quite often and getting away with it for the most part. In a complete opposite situation to 97% of the posters on here I've been trying to put on weight and have been successful. But the big question is why haven't you been to any piss ups, especially the ones I've been to?

I could PM him, but there might be more people around interested in this little bit of info. I know JawD was a fan, but what am I talking about? The Dark Tower series of books by Stephen King is what I'm talking about. They are fantastic and my favourite fantasy type novels you see. And I know that there's probably fantasy out there that's deemed better but I don't really care about all of that. Anyway, the super fantastic bit of news for all those not in the loop when it comes to comic books is that the Dark Tower series being published by Marvel is released on Thursday. So, Mr Hog if you are still among the living around here, go and check them out. There was a 'Marvel Spotlight' issue out this week that had interviews and art samples and all of that and it looks pretty as hell. And yes comics are for nerds and all that. Oh, and I have a computer now after splashing the cash so I'm back bitches.

Yeah, and that's the only reason we're absolutely destroying your useless team.

Scott? Normal? hahahahhaha...

Hmmm, a serious thread on here? Well, as always, I agree completely with Charlie. Damn right. Hasn't been the greatest year personally either, other than me realising that I am enjoying life over here so much more than life at home. The professional opportunities I get over here are far better than anywhere else in the world. And as a consequence, the personal life is so much better. There have been a few really crap things that have happened, really crap, but I don't want to leave England. So, after all my earlier bitching about the place I'm here to stay. All I need now is a job at the RVI and I'm set. Although the highlight still has to be going to a gay pub quiz with Meenzer and getting felt up by the barman.

Happy Birthday Neil. I still maintain that you're only 28 though...

I don't think words are necessary. You all know how crap you are.
-
Happy Birthday Cath's Grandma! Oh, and you other guys too.

Ahhhhahahahhaha. You know, that 17 years I spent at Torbay really flew by. Oh, and people from Totnes disgust me. They keep the waiting room smelling gross for hours even after they've left.

Cheers for the reminder, I was about to leave the house without taking my meds. Hey Martin. Please forgive me for not texting last night. I can't make it out today. Things went a little better than I expected last night.

Let me jump onto the bandwagon here. One of the biggest groups of people I see at work are patients with thyroid problems. You know, there are more people out there with thyroids that are out of whack than you'd realise. If you could, I guarantee you that if you did a poll of people you know, be it friends or work associates, you'd know a few people taking thyroxine because they are now clinically hypothyroid. But then you get the people whose thyroid is racing out of control, you know how they deal with that? They knock it out essentially and make the patient hypothyroid and then give them medication. Sure you get obese people that are just obese, but I promise you quite a number of them will have hormonal problems that they just don't know about. In society today where it's taboo to be racist, sexist, xenophobic, whatever the fuck you want to call it, there is one group of people that it's still seemingly ok to label. The overweight. If this was a thread where we had 20 people agreeing with a post of "I hate them blacks/whites/women/Jews" this thread would be locked and all those posters labelled as racist, narrow-minded fucks. But bashing the overweight? Aw hell yeah, let's go for it. Wankers.

Right, the internet cafe time is coming to a close. I'll check back tomorrow. Anything you know about Torquay would be most appreciated. And Cath, I call you baby.
-
Terrible now I know you're moving so far away York is lovely, come November I'm hoping to be living there. I'm on my way closer to you. Just a detour in Torquay because the money they're offering is one of the reasons nurses are underpaid.
-
Hey, how you doin' Cath?
-
To both of you, did you not read the one month part? The next one after that will be either Manchester somewhere in Yorkshire so I'm getting there.

Hey everyone, long tine no see and all that. Still living in London for the time being but have been unemployed and travelling. Russia's a fucked up place but man it's cool. Anyway, just curious if the new Toonraider still posted here cos I've got questions about Torquay. You see, I've just accepted a month long position at Torbay Hospital down that way and was just curious what the town was like and the area and all that jazz. I won't be there long so if it sucks hey, at least they're paying me well for my four weeks work. But if it's cool, well maybe I'll enjoy my time. Has anyone else from here been to Torquay and can give me an honest (ie, not a manc-mag style) reply? Man I need to come back.
