None of this has changed my mind that the squad is stronger than it was. Perhaps not as strong as Keegan wanted or felt it could be, but still stronger.

A transfer value cap on international imports might be the way to go. Would lower the quality of our league, but improve our international team in my opinion. If some wealthy arabs want to pump £130M into the English game from one signing I don't see that as a bad thing though. As long as the money stays in our game. To that end, perhaps they should apply a tax to every transfer made by a premier league team where 5 or 10 percent of the fee goes directly to lower league and grass roots football.
