  1. Are you not aware that those companies were hung a decade ago and have paid out hundreds of millions for their charges? Many people on this site have told stories of making their own claims. Of course, those charges were explicitly stated in the T&Cs for any customers, and they still paid compensation. I don't think Wonga included reference to their make believe lawyers letters when entering into loan agreements.
  2. If anyone disapproves of Wonga, but can't be arsed to come up with any answers, feel free to copy and paste, or amend my responses... Question 5 I would never visit the site so cannot comment Question 7 Withdraw all corporate crowd related initiatives during the game and allow the fans to organise if they want to arrange anything like that. It starts with flags and clappers and leads to music being played when we score. This is not Newcastle United. We have fans. The fans sing songs. Simple. One thing i would like to see is MUCH bigger screens in the concourses under the stands. The existing 25 inch screens are so small as to be almost entirely useless...and most of those screens are occupied with advertising, highlights from the game taking up only a small corner of those tiny screens. Question 8 Lie low Question 9 Wonga will never ever have any positive association for any Newcastle fan whatsoever. They pray on the poorest in society and charge usurious rates of interest. It is and will only ever be an embarrassment to have the name on the players' shirts. Nothing you do in the community will ever change that. If Wonga want to restrict the feelings of embartrassment fans feel then they should never lead on any initiative, they should never emblazon their logo over anything being promoted either. They should only ever promote the fans' rights to organise themselves as they see fit within the stadium. Fans should be permitted to display their own home-made banners without stewards removing them.

You can forget your wife and its adorable. People rib you about it all day because you had too many other things on your mind..... But to remember her, talk about why you're marrying her and not mention that you love her or adore her or how she makes you happier than you ever thought possible or anything complimentary, that's less endearing.

I enjoyed every minute myself. Even the speech didn't worry me. As long as you say you love your wife that's the only thing you have to do. Not like the Best man. I've been shitting myself when I've done that. The lad i mentioned above didn't say he loved his wife. He said they "make a great team". It was like cringing my way through the office watching him. Don't know why he couldn't lie in the speech, he did during the vows.

Though, to be fair, my "mate" is more of an acquaintance and was always a bit of a twat in all honesty

Been married 2 years now and it's mint. Mate got married a few months before me though and he's miserable as fuck, so...who knows? They change sometimes.
  7. It wasn't ignored. She was acquitted on those charges too.

  12. Think they're quite expensive. There's no publicly offered price packages on their site. Just have to contact them.

  14. Aye, the rides at Magic Kingdom were unmitigated horseshit from start to finish. Girls might like the castle and doing the princess bit, but for a little lad, there's nothing impressive in this day and age about the teacups, the merry go round, Swiss Family Robinson's tree, Pirates of The Carribean (fifties style) or the race track where you're stuck on rails. The only bit that might impress a small boy would be Tomorrowland with the Buzz Lightyear and Monster's Inc stuff but those aren't thrill rides at all. That said, they're currently rebuilding Tomorrowland and the expectation is that they are going to hammer the Star Wars franchise they paid billions for, so those new rides could be excellent for a lad, if they're done in time for you going. We also saw Terri Hatcher when we were there, Bosh!
  15. Disneyland after dark was the best part when I went. I was 31...and childless.

Aye, probably a middle manager goon trying to save face rather than go to his boss and own the error.
  17. I'm not downhearted yet. The worrisome thing would be that we are engaging our number one targets first and foremost though. Initially I was reasonably pleased with the standard of player being mentioned, but with every deal that falls by the wayside because we will not pay the going rate, we move down our list to second third and fourth choices, which look less appealing. There may be the chance that deals we walked away from get resurrected, but only if the player hasn't already moved elsewhere, so which rumours are still a possibility? I hope that Grenier and Cabella still happen. They've not moved elsewhere as yet and the selling clubs just seem to be holding out for other offers which have not been forthcoming as yet. They would be good additions. Aubameyang seems to have a preference for Roma but that's ongoing and it looks like Gomis will be at Swansea. Once the possibilities above are exhausted then I'm not sure who else we've been linked to would be appealing to any Newcastle fan, we're not going to suddenly start looking at players valued at millions more than those we've missed out on, we're only going to go for lesser players. That's when links to Bent and Bendtner start looking realistic.
  18. Our last car didn't have Isofix so i got a seatbelt seat when the baby was born. Our new car does so when we upgraded to the front facing next size up I bought an Isofix one. Seems OTT to get an isofix kit retro-fitted to your car IYAM. Manufacturers exploiting the fears of parents that a rare event will strike them and they didn't take all available measures to avoid it. Their skulls are designed to move about at that age anyway
