  1. their next 3 games are against top half opponenets. They've only won 2 against top half opposition all year, never mind 2 in 3. I understand the worry, but it's odds on that Wigan are done.
  2. Bookies Make Newcastle Favourites To Go Down After Wigan http://www.themag.co.uk/the-mag-articles/bookies-make-newcastle-favourites-to-go-down-after-wigan/ Some real dramatic headlines going on. "Bookies odds reflect table" doesn't have the same draw I guess.
  3. Why don't you knock up a program that will analyse our answers to a questionaire, detect correlations and report on whichposters are alike?
  4. They did it last year, won 7 of their last 9. But they haven't won any of their last 4, a similar run doesn't seem to be on the cards to me.
  5. Wigan have never pulled back a 5 goal deficit with 4 games left. They've either been several points clear of the relegation spots with games left anyway, or when they have been in the relegation places at this stage, it's been with the same points as other teams that weren't.
  6. Dunno why people think Wigan are suddenly going to shoot to the top of the form table.
  7. He could play a fire breathing Dragon and Willow the Wisp as part of a 1-1-8 formation and not play a pass longer than 7.5 feet....when we lost embarrassingly you'd be on here saying "same old Pardew, refusing to make any changes, long balls and set up defensively"
  8. I thought you'd had enough of repeating the same argument? Masochist.
  9. The old players and the new are all suffering from a total lack of awareness of what's happening around them. If we're dropping players for being shit recently then there'll have to be a lot of u19s that start against West Ham. Get back to what we know and see the season out.
  10. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/fabricio-coloccini-set-lead-out-3306425 HBA has played the last 4 games running. He has to start sooner or later.
  11. Colo has only played with Mbiwa twice before, both in Europe (Metalist). You'd have to play him with Taylor at a crucial moment like this, surely?....or Williamson.
  12. To get all CT about it.... Elliot Simpson Coloccini Taylor Haidara HBA Tiote Cabaye Gutierez Ameobi Cisse Classic!
  13. I'm swaying towards the idea that we should just get back to our bread and butter where possible and give anyone bought in January the luxury of impacting things from the bench if needed. I think we only need to rely on Haidara to start in Santon's absence, apart from that we should be able to put out a team that have played together for over a year and know each others strengths and weaknesses. Just put the old slippers on for a few games rather than trying to break in the new smart shoes that are causing blisters. Having Sissoko, Gouffran, Mbiwa and Debuchy on the bench is a lot more comforting when you need to change up at half time too.
  14. Love that someone saw him on HIGNFY and thought that would do. Not even the most basic research of a bloke who's toured shows called "Pride & Prejudice...& Niggas", "Trophy Nigga" and more recently "a work in progress...& Niggas"
  15. He HAS fucked up aye. You and Cabaye would not have done better though. Have you got this.... https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/football-manager-handheld/id580830559?mt=8 Perfect for your dream formations and hypothetical tactical solutions. Save us the pleasure
  16. He's changed it every week this year man. He's tried moving Sissoko, Cabaye, Marveaux, Gouffran, Gutierez, HBA, Perch and Tiote backwards, forwards left and right. The problem is not that he won't try anything different it's that he tries something different week in and week out and the players have little clue and little practice in fulfilling a role they've been assigned. They have no idea from one game to the next who will be either side of them, where the pace will be or where the covering man will be. What he needs is a stable first 11, not more changes.
  17. What I don't get is your shifting criticisms. Last season he played Ba out of position for a few games. We put in some canny performances set up like that but it caused discontent in the camp. We cruised into Europe though, so you called him a coward and a pacifier for not sticking to his guns. However unhappy the players are, he should make them do it. This season (largely out of necessity) he has also asked some players to play where they wouldn't normally. It has also caused discontent in the camp, but you're in support of the players this time, if they spit their dummies Pardew should pacify them. All of a sudden he should only ever play them where they are most comfortable. It's almost as if you make it up as you go along. Worst of all after complaining about the team being set up as it has been, you hoy up ANOTHER formation you've decided will be the dogs bollocks, irrespective of half the players in it not actually being available to Pardew in the real world.
  18. Did the players do as they were told last season?

  21. Last time around we were ensconced in the bottom 3 at this stage and didn't show the heart to get out. I'm just relieved we don't necessarily have to rely on our own players this time around. The likes of Gareth Bale are the ones to support, deserved 4 PFA awards for his goals on Saturday
  22. Villa have started to show some heart....the Mackems have clearly lost theirs....but it only really matters what Wigan do...not us...or Villa....or the Mackems...and they're still not getting the results they would need to peg us back. I do have a slight concern that those villa twats will hand victory to Wigan on the last day and be the ones to send us packing again...but I'm 80% sure Wigan will already be down by then.
