So 5 major signings? Asking a bit much I'm afraid, as much as I agree with you.
-
No I think it's Gouffran behind Cisse.
-
Chances of them making the Sunderland game?

Krul; Simpson, S.Taylor, Yanga-Mbiwa, Santon; Marveaux, Sissoko, Cabaye ©, Gutierrez; Gouffran, Cisse edit; your man starts on the wing then CT. Happy now?

Going to bury my head in the sand for a couple of hours around 3pm today.

Really? Nice. Less nice if he's been rushed back, mind.

It's a relegation six pointer tbh. A cup final, if you will.

I'd pay to watch AH in a porn film. Wait, that came out wrong.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
Monroe Transfer replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
I keep comparing this season to the relegation season. We were a mess then. I didn't really like most of our players, the managerial situation was a joke, there were issues behind the scenes, and I couldn't help but feel that the only positive out of getting relegated would be that it would allow us to start afresh. Things couldn't have worked out any better - we had a very enjoyable season, a loyal hard-working and solid squad, a very likable manager proved his worth, Ashley learned from it, we came straight back up, bought well and ended up back in Europe not long after. This season is a completely different scenario. There are no positives to be taken out of getting relegated. The club is not in a bad way. It is pretty stable. We have a very good squad of players, many of them internationals. On paper we are simply far too good to go down, and getting relegated would destroy this squad. Spending another season in the Championship is unthinkable and I can't believe we're fighting it again.- 10610 replies

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
Monroe Transfer replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
If we stay up, I imagine every element of the playing/management side of the club will be very heavily reviewed to make sure this never happens again. Playing staff, coaching staff, tactics, philosophies, policies, attitudes, medical issues etc etc. I doubt things will continue as they have been, with Llambias and Pardew putting it all down to bad luck and not spending in the summer. I can't see them replacing Pardew but I do hope they - I agree with Tooj wholeheartedly here - add to the coaching staff.- 10610 replies

Was going to give you credit for being persistent, but your last sentence sadly outed you as a WUM again.

Paolo Di Canio Hounded out by the mackems
Monroe Transfer replied to Tooj's topic in Newcastle Forum
Are you sure they didn't mean 442? Read that he said that's his preferred formation. -
I said I'm in two minds about Pardew. Appreciative of what he has achieved, aware of things outside of his control (personally have criticised Ashley for not spending in the summer countless times), and understanding that there aren't a wealth of options out there who could replace him and likely do a better job. Certainly not the first to infer wanting Pardew out, many have said he'll not be going anywhere in the summer because of a lack of aforementioned options, and/or that he - rightly, perhaps - deserves next season and support in the summer (if we stay up) to prove his doubters wrong.

Right, because I was perfectly content before today's round of fixtures. Maybe I was just wasn't vocal enough beforehand. Mock me all you want but we're in the midst of a relegation battle and I don't understand why you're belittling me for not being happy with how things are?- 10610 replies

What's so wrong with that post? I know things have been worse and I should be glad I didn't support the club in the bad old days etc but it still doesn't take away from the fact that we've been so poor as of late. For the reasons Tooj has just shared.

Who is in the Pardew Out camp now? I'm still in two minds, leaning towards out as things stand but aware of what we did last season and the troubles we've had this one.- 10610 replies

We're pathetic. Fighting for the Champions League one season, fighting relegation with more or less the same team (plus a few improvements half way and minus Ba) the next.
-
Can't ever predict the result of the derby, wouldn't be surprised if we get no better than a point out of it. Level on points with the same mighty Villa who have been heavily criticised by all corners this season. Three above Wigan who have a game in hand and are third bottom. Joke.

We're going down.

Get in Swansea, We might be doing down.
